Funny thing about these angels: there was not even a remote trace of Slough life essence put into them. As such, be aware that they are unnatural life, will be targeted by White Giants and other planetary sentinels, as well as avoided by natural life and rejected by the system of nature. They won't need to eat, sleep, grow, evolve, or anything of the sort, but they are as disconnected from the world as light is from matter. Despite Niciel's niceness, her new creations are as alien as elementals and ashlings. They aren't part of the natural hierarchy; they are a hierarchy unto themselves.

Considering that they were crafted of holy power, and 'holy' means separate, this is highly appropriate and probably intentional. I can see some very interesting things arising from this.

I actually have no idea how White Giants will react to Angels, though I assume that the Giants will not attack them unless provoked.

Also, yeah, Angels have no need to eat or sleep, at least not like humans do, but more info on that in the creation sheet that I will eventually make.

Toun stole some of Slough's discarded life essence to make the hain, but that was near the coast of the fractal sea. I don't think he's ever been to the deepwood.

Also, yeah, in white giants, abberant life counts as life that hasn't got any of either Toun or Slough's essences in them. They would attack angels. The thing is, though, angels can fly. Kind of an advantage if you want to escape a giant.

The stuff that Vowzra did is defined by Kho's words, so you should interpret them from his post. My interpretation was that the otherness factor was only towards Jvanic or gap creatures.

@Lugubrious Funny thing, the same sort of applies to the Realta.

Although I find it interesting how two gods both independently both formed their own 'angels' to serve under them independently.

Speaking of which, Realta species sheet is up! Regarding the image... that's the CLOSEST thing I could find to how they look. The text from the post gives a much better description, and use your imagination otherwise.

Zephyrion visited right before he found Teknall and made his house.

I mention him causing a good deal of destruction to the landscape there as well, but it's probably been so many centuries that any signs of his broef visit are gone. The only real impact seeing the Deepwood had on him was making him desire a home and later inspiring him to make elementals.

I was nearly positive that the guy was a throwback to Ialu, but then I realized that the demigod of greed wouldn't be one to hold a morbid fascination with making living poetry of murder. He wasn't Jhin, after all.

Regardless, the concept is intriguing and so far I like your hero a lot, though I reserve judgement until more of his character is elucidated.
