On my stuff it has been a couple of decades since the horde stuff. Time would be moving just too slowly for all this stuff to take place in such little time.

Not to mention that Conata has had one and a half decades to grow up after Stand before the realta landed.

Decided to revamp Lifprasil's armor. What do you guys think?

@LokiLeo789

Sounds like a plan.

Man, maybe I should revamp Amartía too. Actually give him some human features or something. Just have never found a face to fit him.

@BBeast I don't remember discussing a change to the time system :\ but it looks, from Cappy and Mutton's end, that we're looking at a few decade or so at the least.
Plus, Amartia didn't pop out of nowhere, I assume. That must have taken considerable time, and it mostly happened after Stand.

If you notice any disparities between the above and the OP, that is because I'm planning on tweaking the OP soon, particularly with regards to time-skips and levelling. Rather than levelling up over time, Heroes will receive a 'Time passage bonus' in the form of extra khookies. These will depend on the average passage of time set against the time-skip and will also be subject to GM discretion

You may have changed your mind since then (it was 6 months ago), but it was definitely there.

@BBeast Ah yes, that was a development that happened before the more recent 5-Khookies-Per-Post change. Thanks for reminding me that it's a Khookies bonus rather than level ups. The basic principle underlying both the level-up-over-time system and the Time passage khookie bonus remains the same though: a significant amount of time must have passed in-game. Thank you for reminding me though, I will update that part of the Opening Post immediately so I don't forget :)

If there were any changes I announced but didn't put in the OP, please let me know ^^'

ATTENTION

The 'Heroes' section has been updated. It is recommended that you re-read it.

As Heroes grow in strength, their own, unique abilities will grow, and so too will their basic traits listed above. Heroes level up using Khookies (or XP points). Beginning at Level 1, Heroes have 0 Khookies, and as they go about their daily life, they will earn Khookies. Khookies are earned by writing posts. For every 1000 characters in a hero post, a hero will earn 1 Khookie. If the post in question is a collab in which the hero plays a minor role, they will only earn Khookies by taking into account the parts of the post to which they were relevant. If the hero in question plays a big part in the collab, then all the characters are taken into account when tallying the Khookies earned.
OP

The higher a Hero's level, the more Khookies needed to level up. As there will undoubtedly be time-skips, it is important to know that Heroes naturally grow in power over time - which manifests in the form of 'Timeskip Khookie Bonus'. Thus, after a time-skip, a hero will be granted extra khookies. The amount given will most likely be generic and apply to all, though GMs and Co-GMs may use their discretion if they believe plot demands that a certain hero be given more khookies. Such must be consented to by at least two GMs, and other players will generally be consulted on the matter to ensure that the measure is consented to by a majority and that it is fair.

tbh, I don't really like it. Then again, maybe that's just me, since these days I'm the kinda poster that writes posts on the short side. On the other hand, it's not like my Heroes really use Khookies for much, though they would still be nice to have.

If we do stick with x Khookies per y characters, then a cap of 10 would be sensible, and consistent with the previous system.

It mainly stems from a desire to reward effort. It seemed slightly unfair to us that a very short post with little going on in it should be rewarded with the same amount as a post which was worked on hard and does include details. It isn't perfect, but I think it's slightly fairer than the generic 5 Khookies per post. If you guys can work out a way which is even better, go for it and I will be sure to implement it if it is good. I think we're at a point now where you as players have as much of a right as any of us GMs to improve on the game mechanisms and make this an better RP

Edit: which is why I have, for the first time actually unless I've missed something, specifically referred to consultation with you guys in the OP

@Kho I advocate that the amount of Khookies earned per post be capped to some quantity (10 is probably sensible). Otherwise, we could get some absurdities where you earn 50 Khookies in a single mega-post, and then you'd have no idea what to do with them. More mundanely, you could easily earn 15 or 20 Khookies on a regular post if you happen to be a verbose writer.

I do support that Heroes who play only a minor role in a post only get a smaller share of Khookies- otherwise the heroes who do all the work and character development and stuff get the same reward as a hero who made a minor cameo for a few lines of dialogue.

Hmm, then a 10 Khookie cap we shall have.

I think a 4 Khookie baseline for every post seems to be favoured by those who have spoken. Perhaps the extra Kharacter-Khookies are earned for every thousand characters after the first 2000?

I can get behind that new proposal. Not that I have a hero right now, but I tend to edit things down anyway. I'd hate to think that would penalise me.

It also depends how long a post needs to be to earn the full 10 Khookies (which is a healthy batch of Khookies). That scheme provides max Khookies at 8000 characters. If we instead say extra Khookies for every two thousand characters after the first 2000 (with 4 base Khookies), we get max at 14000 characters.

I'll grab some stats for lengths of existing Hero posts (Summaries excluded). Then we can decide what an appropriate amount of Khookies are:

Kho, Oradin-Thulemiz, 15000
Double Capybara, The First Parade 5, 18000 (with 4 heroes with varying roles)
Antarctic Termite, Tauga, 14000
BBeast and Double Capybara, The First Parade 4, 15000 (with 4 heroes with varying roles)
Vec and Cyclone, A Wolf's Descent, 24000 (2 heroes)
Scarcifar, poog the pig and The Irish Tree, The relevant people, 30000 (2 heroes of Scarcifar's, although a lot of the action centers around two demigods.)
Vec and Cyclone, A Wolf's Flight, 36000 (2 heroes)
Double Capybara, The First Parade 3, 7000 (3 heroes)
BBeast, Gerrik Far-Teacher, 8000
Dawnscroll, 29000 (about half Logos half Elysium)
Vec, 32000 (mostly Ull'Yang with some Luna)
Cyclone, Ommok the Pilgrim King, 12000
Scarcifar and poog the pig, 18000 (2 heroes)
Lugubrious and poog the pig, Two Souls' Spiral, 15000 (1 hero)
Vec, 15000
Double Capybara, The First Parade 2, 14000 (3 heroes)
WrongEndoftheRainbow, Mesera and Furem, <1000 (this was just a little reaction bit)
Cyclone, Of Wondrous Heights and Despondent Depths Part 2, 14000 (2 heroes)

That sounds like a fairer system. Will implement it, and if it seems like too many are getting 10 Khookies, we'll up it to 3000 characters per Khookie.

So, to make it clear:

4 Khookies base for every Hero post
For every 2000 Characters after the first 2000 Characters, a Hero will earn 1 Khookie
The maximum any hero post can earn in any one post is 10 Khookies. (this might actually encourage shorter posts xDD)
