@Slime BBeast is more or less correct. The white giant patrol routes are not straight lines, though they are circuits that are as consistent as possible. They can sprint at a solid pace, but they maintain about the same speed of a migrating elephant when patrolling.
They won't interrupt their patrol unless they detect something non-Tounic or non-Sloughish. But as long as you have birds on or around you, it'll probably not try to wallop you.
Also, before you ask, I contrived humans to have enough Slough in them by pure coincidence of design that white giants leave them alone. So your tagalongs should be safe as well.
'Thanks to a traveling fellowship from the Journal of Experimental Biology, Hutchinson and Famini went to Thailand in 2000 and 2001 to put some elephants to the test.
For their experiments, Hutchinson palpated the animals' limbs to find their joints, and then the duo marked the joints with large dots of water-soluble, nontoxic paint. They videotaped 188 trials of 42 Asian elephants walking and running through a 100-foot course and measured their speed with photosensors and video analysis.
The average walking speed was 4.5 mph. But 32 of the elephants moved faster than previously documented -- up to 15 mph. Three were especially fleet of foot, exceeding 15 mph -- 50 percent faster than anyone had ever reliably recorded, Hutchinson said.
Past references gave anecdotes, not data. The result was a lot of confusion about elephant speeds.'
I've mentioned it in passing already, but just so everyone is aware, The Irish Tree has withdrawn from the RP. Unless anyone else has interest in him, I will be taking over as Belvast in future.
Sin Industries will be prepared for that. Rest assured.
I doubt that. One of us will be sorely mistaken.
I've mentioned it in passing already, but just so everyone is aware, The Irish Tree has withdrawn from the RP. Unless anyone else has interest in him, I will be taking over as Belvast in future.
I had been wondering about that. I had been hoping that at one point Teknall and Belvast might meet, and Teknall could add a proper UI to the Mobius Board. But that was never a very high priority, and now it is even less likely with The Irish Tree gone.
Also, I have summarised Page 13. Notable events: Lazarus is born and does stuff, Mammon and Vulamera die, the beginning of Stand, Amartia's rapid city-building.

Astarte trades a jar of Liquid Light for some of Julkofyr's darkness and Vestec's chaos essence. The Pack-Minds and remaining Tree-Minds are deposited in the north pole. Vestec goes and finds Mammon, who is fading away. Vestec convinces Mammon to merge with the Realm of Madness, and demons are created. @BBeast Not sure if I missed an update or if you did it on purpose, but you seem to have skipped from page 10 to page 12 in your megasummary. As it is, have added the new additions to the summary post. Thank you :) (Have actually been rereading from page 10 and was considering helping out a bit with the megasummary, but not sure how you'd feel about me - or anyone - interfering with your pet project xD)
I've mentioned it in passing already, but just so everyone is aware, The Irish Tree has withdrawn from the RP. Unless anyone else has interest in him, I will be taking over as Belvast in future.
If we're to be perfectly honest @Antarctic Termite, the past few days I just hid from you because I was lazy and didn't feel like writing the summary and hoped you'd do it. But you took so long that I just went and did it anyways ;p
Thanks for the info, but since the giants don't stop, then the ride would be lost when Hel and Co get down to eat or rest, unless another giant passes by of course. I read the idea of blocking the giant's vision to make it stop, but my party wouldn't know of that, so I'll stick to the giant crow plan.
On other news... I'm sorry to inform that my PC told me to go screw myself and it won't start up all of a sudden. I'll stop writing my post while I solve the issue, but I'll keep monitoring the RP through my cellphone.
@Kho, odd. I thought I had posted page 11 some time.
I'll post it here:

The main concern is that I'm managing around 7000 to 8000 characters per page of IC. At this rate, the completed summary won't fit within the 150,000 character post limit. We may need to outsource it, or split it amongst multiple posts. Perhaps, when I've finished this post-by-post summary, I'll make a meta-summary to indicate just the key events rather than log every event.
And I suppose people could help if they really wanted, and were able to conform to the same style, although I'd probably end up doing the same amount of reading anyway just to check it and refresh my own memory.
P.S. @Slime, for the White Giant plan to work, you may need to find a way to carry all the food and shelter you need on the White Giant itself. Of course, the crow would be faster and more thematically appropriate.
@WrongEndoftheRainbow, I suggest that, if you have the spare time, you can tally up everyone's Might usage since the start of this Turn and update the file yourself, rather than wait on every player to do it individually. Then we can go to the next Turn.
Shout-out to Cyclone for finishing that summary for me when we both procrastinated and tried to passive-aggressively pawn off the job on each other!
In this installment: Like two pages worth of uncomfortably intimate descriptions of Heartworm in pain for a single word of shoehorned poignance, none of it remotely proofread.
Only side note to add is that when HW says 'I do not destroy', what it means is 'I do not create a vacuum'. Destroying for experimentation or to send a message usually gets a pass because those are considered creative acts.
