Name: Daegon

Alias: Prince of Lies, King of Thieves.

Gender: Male

Domain (Portfolio): Deceit (Manipulation/Lies)

Domain (Portfolio) Description: Daegon is the God of deceit. More specifically, he has power over manipulation, the control of weaker (or perhaps equal) minds. He is an expert at getting other beings to do what he wants and/or further his goals inadvertently. His portfolio also includes lies, and while he doesn’t have a monopoly on lying, he does it quite well. Due to that being a veritable God of lying, he is able to determine without fail when another being is lying. Not that he can discern the truth.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral.

Personality: Daegon is a bit unstable. He loathes order with a passion and finds truth to be boring. That being said he isn’t necessarily evil. He thinks that Lies and trickery are needed for the world to turn, and finds their application in protecting people from knowledge they shouldn’t have or perhaps can’t handle to be the greatest application. That being said, to call Daegon benevolent would be an insult to all that is righteous. Daegon seeks only one thing, entertainment. He finds the creatures and the other Gods to be characters in a story, and he knows that lies are an integral part of every good tale.

Appearance: Daegon finds holding one form to be too honest. He chooses to constantly adopt new forms. He occasionally takes the standard form of another God, just to screw with people. His “true form”, which he only wears around his most trusted friends is that of shadows taking a vaguely humanoid shape.

When taking the form of a human, he typically chooses to take the form of a “magician”.

I have already planned on taking both of these, if nobody else claims them first. Mind is linked to emotions, and skills are linked to both, so it seems logical that Vulamera would expand into these domains during later stages in the RP, if nobody else does

Actually, I was thinking that Vakarlon's better nature might eventually grow stronger so you may not be forever alone in your struggle against the Darkness since Vakarlon has trouble resisting the urge to help the underdog.

@Hael You can take Mind as a Domain, you make a good point and have proven that it is rather broad. However, Knowledge is also a Domain, and not all knowledge is necessarily known by the mind - there is more knowledge in the world than any one mind can ever know. Moreover, Knowledge is also very broad and can encompass many other things. If you want to go with Mind, choose a more specific (Portfolio), if you want to go with Knowledge, mayhaps a different (Portfolio) from Mind is for the best. Thanks for pointing out the broadness to me, though I would have looked more into it on Monday anyway

Oh, and to avoid conflict in future, any 'claims' on particular Domains or (Portfolios), unless verified by either myself or Rtron, are not capable of being used as a justification to prevent someone from actually taking them in future. Claims have no power here!

Seems good to me, intelligence is a rather arbitrary thing, but seems quite specific. I guess someone who is technically 'stupid' is of low intelligence and would fall under that. So you're a god of stupidity now :DDD <--- Trolololol

I'd say it depends. Just emotional manipulation is probably precise enough to be portfolio.

If their abilities are so broad and powerful that they're like Ialu was, emotion is probably strong enough to be a domain. His greed and ambition was so strong that it was a supernatural force that lead him to whatever he wanted.

I just looked into Manipulation, and the wikipedia article on it is fascinating. It covers quite a bit (lying, shaming, guilt-tripping and more) but they all seem rather. I'd say specify that you mean psychological Manipulation rather than generic Manipulation (which can extend to a hellovalotta things) and you're fine
