Think about his age. He was a pirate...which means he is from the original strand of vampires not the strand from the Germany thing as mentioned in your bio. Which means that the metal he's weak against isn't commonly used in weapons anymore since silver looks cooler...think original vampire lore.
It'll be fun to figure out :P

Also, don't get me wrong. I'm not sympathizer or anything. Hitler had notable intentions for Germany at the time. He just went about it in a very dickish way...so...he was pretty much Trump before Trump. X3. And if I wanted to be immortal, I would totally make myself a vampire, but as we've learned both being a vampire and immortal...kinda sucks.
