(Let's get this back on track. That means I shall post more, especially this weekend.)

Kara smiled as she approached Smith. "I'll help you to the kitchen. Just lean on my shoulder. I'm not as strong as you are, but if you walk with me, it won't be hard to get you there."

"Don't worry. I can cover you... this once!" Kali joked, reaching down to her pouch of coins. She was hardly rich, but the prices at this place were rather low. "So, I think they have more than one thing here. Er..." Kali waited her turn in line to find a single kobold cook standing in front of a pot.
"What's that soup?"
"Pork."
"Do you have any other kind of soup?"
"Just pork?"
"I see that there's other meats next to the pot. Could you throw some of that chicken into the-"
"No. Just pork today."
"Look, I'll pay a bit extra, it's no problem. I was just hoping that."
The cook gave her a dirty glare. "You're pushing your luck."
"Oh, come on! It's just a little change from the soup you have. I mean, I'm sure the soup you have is good, but I don't really like pork, so could you please-"
"No soup for you!!"
"Kutur, could you give me a hand with this guy?"

"Don't be disappointed. Most aspiring mages can't form anything at all the first time they try conjuration with a shape as a focus. You managed to conjure a stable pawn in one try. It took me almost twenty just to get what you have now, no joke. Of course, I had a hard time focusing my mana... I was something of a 'passionate' girl back in the day... female hormones and all. Nothing for me to be ashamed of, but it did make focusing very difficult. Anyway, you'll do better after training and practice. It's not that you aren't a match for it; no one is born able to do this. There's no inherent rule of nature applying to a purely artificial setup, after all." Aerta told him. "Plus, the fact that you did it at all means you are indeed suited for this sort of thing."
