It's one simple thing, when someone asks you to stop because they are not liking it, you stop. That's one of the most basic principles of social interaction that there is. Just because it's IC it doesn't give you the right to do whatever you would like to, you still have to consider others opinions even if it means that you'll have to take a dent on your own RPing style. I do that (like having Reiko do nothing until now), so why can't other people.

That said, I never said I was taking the offense personally, but perhaps you should take into consideration that Reiko's CS states that she's very non-tolerant of insults and can veer on sadism when dealing punishments (which where just meant to translate in a Drill Sergeant Nasty personality). Yet, what have I done? Nothing until now, and for what reason? Because I didn't wanted to damage @Spriggs27's enjoyment because of that. Gaz isn't mad or a child, he knows that insulting someone that can pay him back will end bad, so I'll simply react according to Reiko's darkest persona.

Also, try this, go and join the Marine Corps of your country, and on the first day yell at your sergeant and call her a skinny bitch. Then, count how many teeth you'll have left on your mouth after you have been imprisoned and discharged. That's basically what Gaz is doing.

Anyway, I don't like how long this argument has become, I'll do as @TheWindel said and deal with Spriggs on a PM. This shouldn't really have take more than 2 posts to solve, really.

Spriggs' "relatively minor offences" usually build up and end up ruining the fun. That being said, both are at fault since KoL could have handled this in the PMs more early on.

Oh, If need arises, we can rearrange the teams later. That's why I made them with five members to begin with, so that we could have some insurance against drop outs. In any case, if the need arises, the Academy will just rearrange the teams and consider the other members as school drop outs.

I'm assuming that Reiko got pissed off enough that she cancelled the test. Because said test was cancelled, everything related to the test is null and void. So yeah, RIP pre-planned teams.

I thought it was because some people showed a lack of activity in the RP? Therefor it's best to put those who are participating into a Team with people showing up. I could be wrong.

I mean, the roleplay went through a time of collabs - designed to choose the teams - which almost killed it (not to mention me and Spriggs had to write ours twice), only to have the choice of teams we had spent ages working on taken away...

I'm going to think on things a little, but I may end up leaving...

Hmm. That's a bit much to say don't you think? Sure the RP began to slow a little at the time of the collabs, but that's to be expected. I wouldn't say the RP almost died because of it. As for KoL's decision? You have no one but the people who are contributing to the lack of activity to blame. While it may seem unfair, the GM simply did what they could to salvage the RP in the way they thought was best.

If you're complaining about the fact that the pre-planned teams didn't quite work out, take that with the people not contributing. Not us.

Hate to enter the unsatisfied bandwagon, especially since I know you're probably quite busy this week, but I noticed the team my character's in (Team 4 to be precise) has only 4 members.

Now that alone is alright, the fewer people to wait for, the better honestly. The problem I have however is that, well, one member is heavily inactive. Effectively, we're three from the getgo while the rest are either five, or potentially four since the inactive guy has two characters. This doesn't count people just quitting right now.

I can offer an alternative however: If our friends above don't leave, you could pass one of J8's characters down considering BOTH his characters are in the same team. I tried to avoid that in my overcrowded RP's and I can understand the BS it can be to handle those. It's only an alternative, but if people are going to quit outright, then revising the whole team system may be the best plan.

It went through a rough patch of inactivity, and loss of interest for some people. Yes, it may have been salvaged - but for how long? We've all seen roleplays on the edge between salvage and death, and I think that this crossed the border for a little too long.

However, I won't blame the people who partook in the collabs and team selection. Not to pin the blame - nor sound like I'm attacking anyone - but isn't it the GMs job to regulate this kind of thing? I'm not saying you did a bad job in the revival, but I think the way it's been done is like reviving someone with a faulty defibrillator. I just can't see it as the brightest outcome, even if there are no alternatives.

But, like I said, I'm going to consider some things before making a descision.

I can't speak for your opinion. But I never saw this RP dip into death territory except maybe once or twice. As for your concern about the revival...what exactly are your concerns? We made an attempt to move things along. Apart from you complaining about the teams, I don't see what the problem is here. The teams are an issue being worked on but other than that, what other reason is there to quit the RP?

People are willing to post in the IC. Things are happening in the IC. Comparing this to a last dying attempt of reviving the RP is inaccurate and perhaps even a little ignorant.
