I have only seen the original anime of "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" and I truly dislike Kyubey. It's not like I do not understand his motives and ideas, however, it is simply that I do not like him. Not the least. I laughed when Homura shot him a dozzen of times and felt mildly disturbed when watching how he ate himself...

This is a video made up of solely cuts from the movie "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time", didn't contain any editing and used a song, the genre of which I have also not heard of in some time.

Good mornight everyone; I need to ask a question.

Seeing how this is an MMORPG chapter, which of course, would heavily include fight scenes, I've tentatively decided to post said fight scenes unlike the usual way. In Battle Arena posts, if I'm correct, players often leave their replies open-ended so that the other player could respond. This method leads to sketchiness since some people opt to dodge attacks without receiving any damage (and the damage itself can be lessened or exaggerated by the recipient; such that a roundhouse kick will merely graze the opponent, which is really quite unfair.)
I was thinking that maybe our posts should be more concrete, that is I will really hurt your characters. No dodging when I've specified that ie. Leila got clipped by a wooden club. In turn, you could reply dealing damage to my character too.

I asked this because people may have issues having their character get hurt, but it won't be much of an issue if everyone gauges their power levels and the damage they deal to their enemy, duh. Anyway, I just thought it might be more efficient and well, more active to do, and a lot easier on our part if we actually got to go mano y mano instead of waiting 5ever for each other's replies.

I have more issues with that sort of autohitting rather than open endedness. Autohitting takes away your control from your character especially if you know s/he can actually anticipate and deal with whatever sort of move the opponent deals. How does it feel when your character gets frozen by some dude casting a freeze spell, of which you know you can either dodge behind cover or punch him in the face before he finishes that spell?

Open ended attacks works better imo. Of course this also has the problem of people who are too attached to their characters and/or projects a little bit of themselves into their character and takes it personally if they ever got hurt, thus leading to the absolute dodge problem.

tl;dr No thanks. Better have it worked out first between players rather than autohitting someone and have them butthurt. Open ended attack works as long as no one goes overboard with their chars.

Being in Taipei for this couple of days for a Coding Competition. Will have free time tomorrow morning at the Hotel though, so a post shall be completed and posted or not depending on the availability of an internet connection.

Clarification:
Of course we'll seriously have to consider the extent of power characters can do, but I'm pretty sure nobody has the right and the power to go that far, considering the humans' level of skill. In my opinion they're basically noobs with a minor add-on, I should expect middling combat skills and fluctuating accuracy, plus the probable event of friendly fire. Don't attacks get less accurate the more powerful they are? Minor bumps and shoves can be taken in as autohit, but stronger attacks will have to be stated ambiguously to give other characters a chance to react.

All in all, the success of the idea depends on common sense and the player's willingness to cooperate.
