Etsuko Komatsu

Physical Description:
Etsuko has long black hair which she wears in a single ponytail down the back. She tends towards the fairer side of skin, but still has a healthy tan which may be hidden depending on the lighting at the time. She isn't overly muscular, but has a build satisfactory for what she will need to do in the military, at least by her reckoning. She tends to wear her school uniform, but when not doing so she tends to wear light colored skirts and long sleeved shirts.
Biography/background:
Etsuko was born and raised in the nation of Japan, a lifesaver given that it is one of the remaining areas of Zone 2 to be left standing against the monster assault. The eldest of two siblings, Etsuko was always taken by the tales of how the world used to be before the Coalition, and before the war. She had a fairly lonely childhood, with her father serving in the military and her mother working in a factory, yet she didn't hold it against them, and at the same time she and her sister grew very close.
In school she did fairly well, not standing out yet still relatively high up as far as things were. She was looking forward to a good future, wherever the bureaucracy ended up putting her. And that was what she was looking forward to as she grew up.
Then one day that changed. Her father was a part of the combat operations in Korea during the evacuations there, the last stand by Coalition forces in Zone 2 to keep that territory from falling. While their objective was successful, his position was overrun, leaving him Missing, Presumed Lost. The news shattered her, and she isolated herself for weeks, not talking to people, simply trying to cope with what had happened.
Yet slowly she built herself back up, born of a newfound determination and resolve to be strong for her sister, who was worse off than her. But beyond that, there was also the desire to fight just as her father had fought, and to beat these Moonmen. So she turned herself to that goal, attempting to do everything in her power to ensure that she got in the military when the time came. It was during that time that her Limiter abilities ere discovered as part of routine testing, and she was pulled into an area where her skills could be better used.
Personality:
Etsuko likes to think that she is a fairly down to earth person, a realist with a sprinkling of optimism. She firmly believes that Humanity will overcome the monsters they fight, and that the Coalition will help them do that. She is firmly loyal to those that she respects, though she can be dismissive of those she doesn't. Has a deep seated respect for people in positions of authority, and will tend to go along with what they say. Can have something of a temper, but overall she is everything that a superior could want. Also fiercely protective of her younger sister.
Special Ability:
Flash Clones - Etsuko has the ability to create independently acting clones of herself, which are identical to her physical state at the time of their creation, and mimic her moves and actions. While she can create more than one, the more clones she creates the shorter they last, and the less punishment they can take before vanishing. They can do some damage, but are better used as distractions, due to not having the force or energy of the original. Naturally there are side effects, but she sees this ability as worth it regardless.
Skillset:
Etsuko is good at dealing with siblings and psychological issues. She's also had standard schooling, and likes to think that she is decently good at general housework and maintenance of simple machines and engines. She tends a bit towards jack of all trades, and doesn't really like to show off about all that she can do.
Equipment:
In terms of equipment, Etsuko has her Coalition issued gear, as well as a small medallion that her father gave her during his last vacation before he went missing. She believes that it gives her good luck. Other than that, most of her stuff is back at home, as a reminder of what she will be returning to.
