Well, Mary's still not actually attacked, and what you describe would be autohitting against Kafka's character, but I'm fine with seeing how that might play out.

True, true. There's something to be said for gameplay and story segregation, and I still don't think Lady is remotely an equal combatant to Dante, but I will give credit where credit is due: she's pretty cool.

Lady fought past everything in the Temen-ni-Gru save for Arkham and Vergil, and was a late-game boss fight.

Furthermore, if we account for DMC4SE, she is perfectly capable of fighting boss level demons, Dante, and a Sparda-empowered demon pope. In fact, her playstyle is pretty much an enhanced Gunslinger style Dante, and KA packs a few moves unavailable to Dante when he used it in DMC3.

Lady is an ass kicker of the highest caliber... For a perfectly normal human being. You have to remember the differences in gameplay and in story. Don't get me wrong, I think she'd wipe the floor with just about any real life person, but she just isn't in the same league as the sons of Sparda even on their worst days.

No, there is nothing to be said for gameplay/story segregation when you consider that TST-level gameplay Dante is stronger than cutscene Dante.
If you can't see Lady's value as a combatant than you likely haven't taken the time to learn her moves.

And even in the cutscenes, Lady still kicks everyone's shit in. That's why she is a late-game boss.

Please separate gameplay from actual strengths. Lady for sure is powerful and can take on some powerful demons, but she is definitely not on par with someone like Dante.

"Without even forcing their Devil Triggers" doesn't matter because DT isn't a game changer. It's a panic button and the boost it gives is relatively minor. Its stat boost is relatively small and still won't save you if you suck. Even with the Super Dante costume, Vergil 3 will still push your shit in.

Furthermore, there is little difference between abilities they have in-game and in-cutscene. The defining difference is that cutscenes allow for a rapid change of scenery, but rarely is there a huge change in combat abilities. In fact, I think an expert player can push abilities in game even further.

You're also not considering that demonic power is not what makes Dante and Sparda strong. It's their humanity. They state this in literally every game at some point or another.

Wrath's in the Cistern, I'm just unsure of who's going to shoot at him and what not besides Gormory. And nobody at the Gilgamesh HQ is a Demon. They just use Demon and Angel Arms.

@IncredibleBee There are only six guards, four of which are gunners, all of which are far away, and are standing in a spread formation, which neither qualify as a crowd nor lends itself for skewering, and who are your least concern compared to the Tickler, who you ignored in your post, and who's directly attacking Antonio. Additionally, the Reclaimers are using Devil and Angel Arms for the most part, which are more potent than your character's blessed weapons due to your choice of faction, or at the very least not worthless, which your post certainly indicates. Furthermore, there aren't only bullets attacking you, but also a chain lightening and acid bombs.

I can appreciate the Rule of Cool, but I need you to abide by the facts of the situation I've created. Your post could have existed completely independently of mine, except for the one sentence at the end.

As for Lady and her power... lady is strong figther. Realistically it has been shown that she can pretty much fight Trish to a stand still. SO I say we stop arguing about this. She is strong, but not to an extend equal to Dante ^_^
