[OOC] The Three Realms War [A DMC, Bayonetta and Darksiders RP]

Anyways, it's clear we'll all need to leave Barlour city eventually. So right now, I guess all the factions regrouping to decide their next move is the natural course of action.

Last of all, how do you guys want to handle going into Chapter 1?

A timeskip of a week or so into the next location? Or transition naturally without a timeskip? Plus I'd also like to know if you guys have locations you want to be at, because we're also deciding whether we want free roam, or keep it more contained so players will always be near other players.

No timeskipping yet, you nonce. This is a delicate operation. Before chapter 1 definitively goes anywhere, the characters I named are going with the watchers, and what happens after that will decide their fates.

Here's what happened: as Sho said, the destruction of the second seal caused a tremor and rifts. Immediately some demons and angels arrived, who started battling, and over the course of hours as more arrived it escalated into a full war. The humans started evacuation pretty quickly, and only after they were mostly out did the random skirmishes really coalesce into the full war. During this time, you can have had your guys do whatever you want: leave, fight demons, try to take the abandoned Gilgamesh office down brick by brick, what have you. I covered the time from the moment after the destruction of the seal through the hours.

Everyone: aside from KYL, who's definitely with Souta, you can have had your characters do whatever you want during this time. I outlined in my post a very brief overview of what the situation is looking like for the various factions. The bottom line is: several hours after the destruction of the seal, every character that I named in the series is being approached by a different watcher. I described the general procedure the encounter ought to take, but I'm leaving the specifics of the encounter, including the dialogue and the personality of your specific watcher, up to you. In general, though the watchers are assholes. I wanted to give you a little bit of freedom to have your character do something you like and is appropriate for them and then have you create the encounter with the watcher in a way you might enjoy as well.

If you're asking how I want to handle it, then i would prefer a small timeskip, nothing more than a day, for everyone to exit Barlour. I would also prefer a "main local" so as to keep the story tight. Its less fun to write if theres nobody there to bounce off of.

Also, Sho, are you still playing Nero, or is he back in NPC territory?

Sho, lmp, and I have agreed: after the event that's about to happen IC, there will be an overnight cooldown period for everyone, where you'll have character freedom, before the party gets started the next day. Depending on what goes down shortly, there will be different groups of people to interact with, but there will definitely be groups.

@ProPro Hope you're OK with Wrath continuing to bring Akoni along with him. Just made sense not to leave him in the streets with a war of supernatural proportions and him kinda half-dead.

@Zarkun That's totally cool. I wouldn't have been able to get him out of the danger zone anyway, without resorting to NPCs rescuing him. Unless he gets some magical heals, he's going to be fairly screwed up for a bit.

So GMs, do we get any points awarded for that boss battle?

With the eve of Chapter 1, the points system is a go.

Please input your character on the table. Do note, we have not yet awarded any points, as you cannot gain points for any actions done in the Prologue, but from Chapter 1 and onwards, they are applicable.

As for who will be awarding points, mostly GMs, but normally it'll be me. Later we might consider letting other players do it too, given it is not abused.

That just merely an assumption on my part, I didn't want to put words in your character's mouth. If you like, you can have KYL initiate dialogue in your post, which would have taken place during the drive. Regardless, the watcher for Souta is doing double duty as the watcher for KYL, so don't worry about involving another one.

Hey @Scrapula, since the branch office contained only three Reclaimers along with the contracted security, there's no Devil Arms in the facility. Just handguns and rubber-bullet guns.
