I'm pleased to welcome you to this thread! You can call me Ink, and as of now I'm looking for a handful of partners to jumpstart my muse back into gear. To make things easier for you who took the time to seek my search, I'll first outline what I'm looking for in a fellow roleplayer and steadily make my way to what I can offer and finally what ideas are floating in my head at the moment. Simple, right?
I'm looking for...
Right now, I'm looking for a few lively partners to help me get super into an idea of our own making, as my interest in anything at all has been flagging lately. That's not to say you will have to drag the plot all on your own, though! I greatly enjoy plotting out events and future plot twists along with developing the world and characters we will use. I'll definitely do my part, but some cheer-leading may help me get psyche up too! :D
The more vivid your descriptions are and the more plot-altering action you can write into a post without it looking like a forced mess the better of course. Currently, I'm looking for five to eight-ish paragraphs a post on average (long intros and the occasional small novella are of course ok with me, just don't go into purple prose territory!) that will make for a moderately active posting schedule. Since I don't mind putting more time and thought into each posts, I'd happily wait up for a week for my partner to respond, though the preferred pace is more along the once every day to once every three day for the sake of keeping the ideas flowing.
I'm looking for LOTS of OOC chatter, either in private messages or through a separate OOC thread. I need to share ideas and to plan to write my best, and someone with similar OOC needs pertaining to plotting would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not really into smut, sorry! Simple allusions and fade to blacks are best in my opinion, though violence and other mature themes are perfectly fine with me as long as we don't talk about Saw or sailor speech levels of contents ;)!
What I'm offering is...
On top of holding myself to the same standards as I outlined earlier, I'll also add that I can play any genre and level of drama that does not fall into pure angst. I'm happy to play all sorts of characters, from any genders or orientation so you only have to ask if you have ideas that don't set my character in stone from the get go. I'm more than happy to use side characters, and I'm also ready to take more than one main character should the plot reasonable calls for it (so no doubling for the sake of doubling, please!).
The ideas floating about my head...
I'd be interested in a setting based on the 1920s to the 1950s, quite possibly with a punk or (post?)apocalyptic touch to it.
I'm really feeling for a really dark fantasy right now, set in a medieval or maybe Victorian-like setting.
Politics in the space age, anyone?
I'd be interested in trying some rp that follows the days of a place, like a coffeehouse or some other public place, instead of following the characters themselves around.
A mercenary company changing from barely more trustworthy than brigands to a close and well connected brotherhood (or sisterhood).
