But yeah, I was actually going to say that I saw nothing wrong with Lugia's character, other than him needing a bit more fleshing out. I think what's there is a good start, but perhaps more stuff pertaining to aspirations, motivations, etc. will do the trick. Of course I'm not the GM, so Shard's more the one to be listening to, but that's just how I feel as a fellow player. That being said, denying it for now is a good call, just so he can fix it up n' such and resubmit it.

“How to describe myself… I am usually calm and philosophical. The vision of evil, thinking about what the true meaning of good and evil. That kind of stuff. Also, I don’t really trust people that much, even anyone that would be related to me, cause of my past. Never know what someone would be behind their normal attitude, what kind of secret they keep from others. I usually think fast when it is needed.
I dislike going to hurt people for nothing. I am not the kind of person to just go and start a fight cause of opinions and such. Sure, I will defend myself, and possibly kill if it is needed, but you won’t see me attacking travellers for nothing on the road.
Although there is some things that will make me dislike someone. Laziness is one of those things. Someone that just stays there and doesn’t work, that let others do what he is supposed to do. This annoys me a lot. Another thing would be greed, specifically the type that makes you abuse of others.
Even though I am usually calm, it happens sometimes that things get…. Out of hand that I lose that calmness. But most people told me that my bark was louder than my bite… that is until I got my blade out and ready for battle…
One last thing I should note about myself…. Some people did end up… complaining about me talking to myself sometimes. That would be cause of some spirits that decided to keep fallowing me around after what I did in the past. Sure…. They do help me in battle when I need them, but sometimes it is just plain annoying.”

Strengths:
-Quick senses and movement: He is quite fast in his reaction times, able to move out of the way of attacks that comes towards him.
-He is very dexterous with his sword, able to exploit weak spots.

Weaknesses:
- Low resistance to physical attacks. Sure, he is able to take some hits, but he’s not hulk, he isn’t resistant. A good powerful hit in the chest that he doesn’t see coming can knock him out. He also refuses to wear heavy armor, preferring to be able to move quicker more than taking hits.
- Physically, he is not that strong. He is more specialised in the balance between his magic and his sword technique.

Techniques:
He is a fighter that relies more at dexterous strikes more than brute strength. He relies more in the combination of spirit energy and pin point strikes to do his damage against his opponents, aiming a lot of time towards area’s to disarm or weaken ones abilities. He also uses accurate spirit blast when in a distance to weaken his opponents before going for his sword strikes. He uses his quick senses to react in fights, by either parrying strikes or dodge them

Personality
Nile is a care-free spirit, more interested in having fun then responsibilities. Seriousness is like a plague, it just drains your strength and is a bunch of trouble. You don't deserve to laugh at someone else if you can't laugh at yourself a little. Still, if you manage to find something Nile has taken a stand on, don't expect her to back down. Some might accuse her of being frivolous and naive, they'd be dead wrong. It's not like Nile is an assassin beneath that happy face of hers but she knows the rough and tumble of life.


Appearance
Much like shown, though remove the boiling flask and make the robes a little more baggy and covering. The hood covers her ears and masks her face while pulled up. The color of her fur is similar to tan lines, the parts more protected from the sun and covered by clothing are more white, well the other exposed hairs and turned brown.

Musician
Nile is a natural hand at playing instruments and her music is surprisingly enthralling, even without a little magic to make things more exciting.


Expert Novice
Nile can't create an army out of thin air, but she's very experience with the little magic's she does know how to do. Full on invisibility is a little out of her reach, but she can spit out smaller cantrips like a woodchuck. Can chuck wood. If a woodchuck could chuck wood. But she can't chuck wood because she's not a woodchuck that can chuck wood. You get the idea.


Quick Hands
Nile has fingers that only a musician can boast of. Long, nimble, strong, perfect for plucking strings, tossing a knife, or pocketing some cash thrown at her. Don't be surprised if they move faster than you can keep up with.


Weaknesses

Nile's right arm is a bit smaller than her other one and is good for little more than making obscene gestures and holding small objects.


Troublemaker
While Nile has a very good danger sense, or perhaps because of that, she has a tendency to get into trouble. Whether its a particular rowdy song, a snide remark too many, Nile has a way of making things worse.


Smol
Neth are just naturally smaller than other races and Nile is no exception. She would never win an arm-wrestling contest with a Tothum or be able to bust down a solid oak door. Nile has many strengths, but none of them are in her strength.


Techniques
Ooooh fighting. Yeah, Nile tends to avoid that. If she had to Nile would rely on using her illusion magic to distract her opponent long enough to stab them or run away. Maybe both. Call it "Stab and Run"?

I can start whenever, really. But I think it would be beneficial if we discussed character relations a bit. I liked the idea when I saw that two characters were going to be traveling companions.

After people put their characters in the character bin we can start, though I'd think it a good idea to maybe discuss where we start and with whom.

That makes sense and is fair enough, yea. To get a start on location, I actually got ahead of myself and started writing up my first IC post, heh. I've positioned my character somewhere out on the road to some city or another, but of course left the details vague so it may be more seamlessly be slotted into things. Given how these things tend to work, I just kinda assumed there'd be some starting city most people would be at or headed to. Nothing is set in stone, of course.

Starting a vague travelling post is usually a good start, to just get yourself seated into the world and your character.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Admittedly the pre-established character relations thing is new to me, however. Like, I know of it as a concept, but I've just never been in a thread or game where it was enforced to any particular extent. Might need a bit of a hand there.

I guess a possible hook is that given my character is a warlock of some repute, it's quite possible some of you have had run-ins with him before, either seeking his help, or as a victim of one of his more jerkish whims. Someone's character could even be still suffering from some curse he put on you for his amusement, and trying to hunt him down to convince him to reverse it, forcefully or otherwise.

Given he's quite fond of duels, it's possible they could be seeking him to set him a challenge of some kind or another as well.
