Some guidance please

Hey everyone,

I haven't been active in a couple of years but I'm looking at getting back into the RP world. I've been looking through some of the active RP threads and really loving the level of writing, character development and story lines. I would like to join some of the longer running RPs but I'm not sure if there are any rules regarding joining? Can characters join at any point or would I need to contact the person who started the thread to discuss?

Areas of interest: Zombie, Fantasy, Historic Fantasy, Sci-fi, Horror. (Walking Dead, Star Wars, GOT, Vikings, Dragon Age, Last of Us, Bioshock to name a few)

Typically the rules for joining are on the actual threads themselves, but if in doubt it wouldn't hurt to fire a question off to one of the GMs for it, i'm sure they won't mind.

Hey there! You should find something you enjoy and can still join up to easily on here. :)

Welcome to the Guild! Exactly what Sickle said, there are different rules for each one. Anything in the Free, Casual or Advanced sections have a small subheading called Join Status which will let you know whether they are open or not. :D Then the first post in the OOC should give a breakdown of the GMs core rules (generally speaking this is the case, but not all GMs do this, particularly in Free).

Thank you for the warm welcome. I just had a look at a few threads and I found the location of the GM rules. That was a great help. I would have been looking forever!

@shadowcat89 Hello and welcome back! Everything these guys said is true, but I'll leave you with this: If you're interested in joining something, put a polite post in the OOC or PM a GM and ask them! Sometimes even closed or full threads have openings or wait lists ^_^ Happy hunting!
