Tia looks up at Kain and puts her hand up and freezes him for a moment. "It would be so wrong to just drown him right now." She sighed and twisted her hand and he was back to his normal self. Tia looked at him and said,

"If you had had your comlink on you would know who they were because Wicked told everyone as soon as she recognized them. They are after our R&D and our Medical advancements and they are the bad guys so they just plain want us dead. They are called the Masters of Evil and there are a lot of them. You are a superpowered person so if you are alone just pay attention to your surroundings like anyone else."

"Of course, your car. Kain you know what bugs me? You think only of yourself. Your car is fine. If you stop being an ass I might find out where it is for you. See, the last time I saw your car it was flying through the air about to crush me. I froze it, like I did to you a minute ago, and asked Omega to put it somewhere safe so I wouldn't have to put up with this from you." Tia smiled.

"Now, all I ask is that you follow orders about your health. Since you refuse to do that I'll give you something to do. Why don't you go out and clean up the HQ compound. As I last saw it there was a lot of debris and broken glass and metals from the shop. And if you want your car you might try words like please, and thank you. Now unless there is something other than your car you would like to discuss I would like to continue my conversation with Miles."

Shiver teleported into the HQ entrance and looked around. "Inertia? Where are you?" She drops her bags and goes into the office and takes one of the remaining keys #4. She grabs her bags and teleports straight into room #4 and decides to check out the lounge. Opting for walking so that she might happen upon other members of the team she peaks down the hall and heads for the lounge. Shiver stopped at the kitchen and grabbed out a soda and a sandwich she found in the fridge. "Mhmmm I'm so hungry." She mumbled and went into the lounge.

Red Strike (Ro'Kun)

Ro'Kun had done what he always did best, which was make a B-line straight for the food. By some strange circumstances, he'd taken a different hallway into the kitchen and entered just as Shiver had walked out. His mind (when not preoccupied with how hungry he was) was on whether or not Brian and Tia were alright. He'd merely been wandering around for awhile.

Maybe they'd be in the lounge? He grabbed 3 deli sandwiches, a coca cola, bottle of water, box of raisins and a huge bag of potato chips. He made sure to get all essential food groups, after all. Thanks to his martial arts training, he could balance the load, gripping with strong fingers. He tip toed into the lounge, and clumsily but successfully placed all of his food right in front of... Who?

"Hey there." he said with a an inviting smile. This girl kinda reminded him of Tia a bit. His laugh was embarrassed. "I didn't know anyone else was in here. Are you new to the place, or have I just not bumped into you before?"

Shiver looked up and nearly choked on her sandwich. She coughed and drank some soda to wash it down. "Sorry, I didn't know anyone else was here. It looks like all hell broke loose outside. I saw the garage was badly damaged so I left my bike out front." She realized and she said, "My name is Shiver, what's yours? Oh and have you seen my sister, Inertia." Shiver sat back on the couch and lifted her legs up beside her so she was hogging the couch like so many girls do.

He couldn't help but grin at her surprise from all of his food. "Yeah." he said, running a hand through his black hair. "We got into a big brawl. My name is Ro-" His eyebrow raised, and he crossed his arms. She was hogging the couch! She was such a girl. Not that it was exactly bad. And then it hit him. The cogs began to whirl in his mind. "Oh and have you seen my sister, Inertia?"

"No idea who Brian is but you are the first person I've seen. Hey, if you have your comlink on you can reach her. I forgot to get one out of the office when I was in there. Did you say your name was Ro?" She took a bite of her sandwich and it gave him a reprieve from her questions.

"Hold on, I can get one." Shiver teleported out and back in possibly a second if that long. She popped it into her ear and said. "Hey Inertia! I ran away from home again and I'm in your lounge. Oh, and where is Brian? Ro wants to know."

She heard the voice and slid off her seat in the hot tub and nearly drowned herself mid sentence. "Shiver? What the hell are you doing here? I'll be there in a minute or two. Brian? He is around here somewhere." @King Tai

Shiver happily continues eating and giggles at the look on Ro'kun's face. "She said he is around here somewhere."

Ro'Kun's eyes widened and he leaped back like a frightened dog, scuttling behind the table as she disappeared and reappeared again. His thick black haired head peeked over the table as the lounging girl was once again on the couch, brown eyes gazing at her before he realized he was looking like a pussy. "Yeah, I'm Ro. Ro'kun, but chicks call me Ro so you're good. Cool to meet you." he said. "I'm Red Strike on the field though. I'm new too, so there is that."

At least Brian was ok, that was the main thing. Her giggle had him smiling though, and he decided to plop onto the table, legs criss crossed as he talked to her. "What brings you to the HQ? You Tia's sis then?"

Shiver nodded. "Yeah, well not technically. Technically we are cousins but her mom died when she was two so my mom raised her. You met my mom already. Wicked. Yeah she kinda flipped out a little after Aunt DD and Uncle Hunter died but she really lost it when my dad was pulled into the speed force while she closed the gates to hell." She looked at his expression and said, "I know it. It sounds like some kind of back asswards fairytale if you ask me."

He listened to the tale and nodded, his brows raised and his expression showing he was both intrigued, confused, interested, and bewildered. "Huh...That is..." He crossed his arms and furrowed his brow in thought. He had no idea Wicked had a daughter! He had no idea Tia had a sister! The gates of hell sounded like thanksgiving at his grandma's so he wasn't too concerned over that. But still! "Yeah that sounds fucked up." he said as gentlemenly as he could. Which was still pretty not gentlemenly and blunt.

Dr. Amelia Evergreen

Doctor Evergreen watched as another poor security man was fed into the strange energy array that resembled an MRI that used brightly colored fluids flowing through a complex manifold of transparent pipes crossed with a fog machine. The young man moaned in pain as she stepped around to the head of the machine and sat at a console that for unknown reasons she could operate.

Moments after she took her seat the array began to hum and pulse with regular rhythm as fog poured out of the sides. The liquids raced and bubbled through the pipes some glowing with a light of their own. This all went on for about five minutes till a bell rang at which point all activity ceased.

Then Amelia stood and walked around the machine to it's foot where she pressed a button extracting her patient who sat up with a surprised expression.

"Wha..what...how...how...I mean I was....but now" stammered the man

"You've been healed, you were in very bad shape when you came in but now you're as good as new thanks to Gerty here; she's top secret so mums the word.

Well as I have others to see to no time to flirt so off with you now or they'll have you for the dock." says Doctor Evergreen in a charming accent reminiscent of an English accent

Once she'd ushered out the healthy yet confused man she stepped back as another was pushed into the room by a worried looking nurse. Amelia took the injured man's hand and took his pulse even though her was hooked to a machine that was keeping constant track of his vitals.

"Awe poor boy, ner ya worry for soon all be well." she cooed in a gentle tone as the nurse began unhooking him from the electronics tethered to him before she helped move him to the machine's tray.

Kain's frustrations grew as his concerns were met with another brick wall. It was only the sudden arc of pain that held his tongue silent. Instead of voicing his opinion he slaps the water surface with a heavy metal hand and lets his armour carry him from the leisure room, hastily guided by a wave of new thoughts and worries. Sarah.

Kain found the tiny re-reinforced hatchback just as some staff had began to try cut it open. 'fools' he thought to himself as he stomped heavily towards them. Sarah looked worse then before, her eyes now blacker and with blood drying and crusting. Also she no longer appeared conscious.

Panicked Kain hurried, his hands sunk into the metal frame like it was jelly, then the wall melted away to give space as Kain removed Sarah from the car, cradling her in his arms. Next he headed to the doctor he had heard so much about but hadn't yet met.
... Doctor Evergreen

Kain in his clunky metal suit and and carrying his injured bloody damsel, had no trouble pushing his way past the staff and getting directions to the doctors. He cut off a waiting patient before almost kicking the door down.
"Doctor, please!"
He says firmly with a hint of desperation and guilt. He lay Sarah on the bed then paused as he looked the doctor over, clearly not what he was expecting. Then he asks with uncertainty.

"Ah, are you doctor evergreen?"

Amelia was just finishing with her sixth patient's treatment when a huge metal man barged into her work area.

"Are you Doctor Evergreen?" he asked in a slightly confused tone

"Why Yes, yes I am" she answered in a gentle but firm tone as she handed off her last puzzled patient to a nurse.

"Please put the child here" Amelia commanded sweetly after she's replaced the table pad.

Today it seemed had been a busy day and it made her happy and sad to be so needed. She knew that unlike other busy and bloody this had been a day forced on her by the evil avarice of madmen but it didn't make it any less painful.

How many times had she been the witness to the frail condition of the human body. And how many broken and bleeding children had she touched knowing that she might be their only hope of survival?

She dreamed of the day that her skills and talents would only be called on in disasters and accidents an wondered would she even see that day. Then she grounded herself and turned her focus to the injured young woman.

While hearing out the conversation between Kain and Tia, Miles was busy sucking down on some brandy until the conversation ended with Kain looking like he was about to have a fit, getting out of the water and leaving. Miles felt it was better for Tia to handle the situation than him for the risk of starting inner conflict in the HQ.

Now with that out of the way, Miles placed the drink on the side to continue the conversation Yeah uh...as I was saying I was wanting to get to know you a bit more and learn a bit about you backgr-

"Shiver? What the hell are you doing here? I'll be there in a minute or two. Brian? He is around here somewhere."

Miles paused for a moment from what Tia said. Okay....who the fuck is Shiver!? this happened yet again, someone else have interfered with his business with Tia now that she was about to leave in a moment. Ain't this about a bitch! Now he had to wait again because of another issue that's popped up. before he was to snap out verbally, Miles spoke up calmly on the outside. Is everything ok? who is Shiver? do you want me to just meet you later? She had better say 'no we can continue our convo' but from what's going on, if they were to continue talking now, there's a chance someone else will find a way to get in between them.

Rey "Glitch" Weaver

Deep in the lab, with static and flashing lights coming from a dim lighted back room. There being a table with several gadgets, tools, circuit boards, wires hanging from above while this man who seemed to be working on something important, stopped upon hearing his watch alarm go off. Sliding his goggles, Rey looked at the time Damn...if only you were working correctly earlier, I could've used you during the raid. *sigh* because of the break in and the attack, I'll have to totally upgrade the entire security system. What's the use of having an HQ if it can't be defended properly. I'll have to report to Tia soon and introduce her to the plasma ray. a new security weapon along with the other plans I have...hopefully they will take me serious this time. Heroes need help too.

Rey talked to himself for a moment, which is a habit he has and placed the tools o the table along with the goggles to leave the lab and grab a snack. It's been some time since he's spoken to Tia, Evergreen and any others he usually have contact with. he headed out to check the condition of the rest of the HQ to think of where to place other security measures so to not have to go through the ambush again.

Inertia was on her feet and out of the water faster than you could say "Shiver." She grabbed a towel and quickly dried herself off and grabbed a robe. "Come on Miles, this is my life. If you want to know me you gotta keep up." She flashed him a smile and gave him a hand out of the hot tub. She spoke into her comlink and said "Omega, please give Kain his car back so he will get off of my ass. Thank you!" When they got to the lounge Ro'kun was there and Shiver was on the couch finishing up a sandwich. "What happened now?" She asked Shiver. @Dark Light@funnyguy

"Hey sis." She looks at Tia and Miles in pool robes and raises her eyebrow in mischevious accusation. "Having fun were you?" Inertia glared at her. "What I was doing was trying to relax but apparently that's not going to happen tonight. How is Wicked and why are you here?"

Shiver's expression changed and she scowled. "What did you guys do to make her flip out again? They have an entire radiation team trying to cool her down. I took one look at her and booked." Shiver cringed. "I don't want to be melted."

Tia glared at her. "You are aware that you could have frozen her with ice and cooled her down. They will have a much harder time without you."

"Nah, I told them to call Bellisima. She was always mom's rock outside of DD and dad. If anyone can calm her down it's her."

Inertia looked around at Miles and Ro'kun and said, "Sorry guys, this is Shiver. She is Wicked's daughter and basically she is my cousin but we were raised as sisters.

The metal mask melted away revealing Kain's exhausted face, filled with guilt it was also still stained by various burns, scabs and a few lines of stitches.

He breathed heavily slowly regaining his breath.
"Sorry I wasn't sure, it's just... That outfits a bit... Misleading."
He struggled to comprise the right sentence as he propped up Sarah and looked from the doctor to Sarah's injuries.

"Is she gonna be ok?" he asks standing by the injured girls side.
"i, it was my fault."
...
"Please tell me she will be ok!"
He picked up the unconscious girls hand and looked into the doctors eyes.

"Come on Miles, this is my life. If you want to know me you gotta keep up."

This sounded like the words of his ex-girlfriend who was used to a fast life in the city while living in Tokyo. getting out of the hot tub with the assistance of Tia, he followed her to the lounge where there was a young woman sitting on the couch and one of the guys that Miles saw before as well.

Hearing the woman on the couch call Tia sis, Miles' eyebrow raised, looking back and forth at both ladies. They both looked damn good as siblings....must've been good genes or something. He listened to the ladies talking to each other about Wicked and the fact that this girl, who seems to be Tia's sister was in fact Shiver. and on top of that, her power is usage of ice.

When Tia turned and introduced her Shiver as her cousin and being that of Wicked's daughter, Miles, while with his arms crossed, answered Sup....the name's Miles Bronson......hero name Visi-Play... keeping it short and sweet with his introduction.

Miles turned to Ro'Kun I don't think I officially met you either.

Amelia took a deep breath then exhaled before speaking.

"She will be fine but I must ask that you step away from her so that you don't muck up Gerty's energy cycle.

Over by the door if you please. says Evergreen in a calm but firm tone

Once he is where she indicates the Doc slides Sarah into the tunnel like ring and steps around to the other end of the complex almost alien looking machine.

A throbbing pulse of sound is the first sign that the machine is starting then fog drifts out across the floor of either side of the ring. This is followed moments later by gurgling sounds as bubbling fluids rush through clear pipes running through a cluster at the top of the device. Three minutes after it all began there is a loud Ding of a bell
"Now that didn't take too long did it? says a cheerful Amelia as she walks around and pulls out the tray with a slightly confused but healed Sarah on it.

(I had to assume he'll cooperate)

The young man popped up when Tia and Miles entered the room. He gave a salute, puffing his chest out. "Ma'am." he said seriously enough for it to be an obvious joke. He grinned, and gave them a nod. "Sup guys. I was worried you were hurt Tia. Yeah, me and Shiver have already gotten to know each other a bit. I make friends like that-" He snapped his fingers, and a burst of flame appeared above his hand fierce enough for him to blink in surprise. "Whoa...did not mean for that to happen."

He cleared his throat, and extended a hand to shake Miles' hand. "Yeah I don't think so either. I've mainly been eating and kicking ass since I got here, so things have been pretty hectic."

WILD GIRL

Jess got dressed after a quick shower then stepped out into her room wrapped in two towels and went to see what Her Majesty's government had sent her.

As she was trained Jessica looked at the boxes with her sixth sense as well as her eyes and was surprised to find a complex message embedded into the cartons using metallic powder.

It takes her just a few moments to get each carton in the proper sequential order and rotated in the correct facing before she can reassemble a 3 dimensional code the squints on Lively Island developed when she was just fourteen. Once she's gotten all that work done she giggles after reading it and finding out it is a key to a code found on items in the boxes.

*Awfully paranoid of them* thinks the young meta as she drifts cross-legged like some legendary yogi.

She causes all the boxes to burst open and is delighted to see they've sent her clothing, cell phone (hardened) and four pair of shoes but then puzzled by her box of toys. She never had toys growing up and wonders who thought up the collection.

There are dolls, stuffed animals and a small collection of children's books. They look worn but cared for their attention to detail even showing the books being used as writing desks by the indentation of scrambled words and letters.

*Leave it to the squints to invent me a lame childhood.* she smiles thinking *I should just donate the lot an not read the message*

Jess pops into the lounge and makes a snack tray that could feed four an cause a Weight Watches Dietitian a stroke before plopping down in a comfy chair.

She sees the others obviously in discussion and sighs softly as she digs in.

When Ro'kun accidentally started the fire in his hand Shiver laughed at his own reaction. Jess popped in with a heaping tray of food and Shiver smiled and gave a little wave so as not to interupt the introductions between Ro'kun and Miles. Inertia moved around the guys and hugged her and Shiver pretended to be strangled a little too hard and laughed.

"Did you get a room already?"

"Mhmm I'm in 4."

"4? hmm...ok" Inertia thought to herself. "Just be careful not to piss off the guys in 2 and 3 ok? They can both be a handful. Oh, and there is an antique sportscar that is normally kept in the garage, whatever you do do NOT touch it. I already had to rescue one guy from a flagpole for touching it. And speaking of that car," She hit her comlink "Omega? Did you get that car back to Kain yet?"

Shiver smiled to herself. "Kain hmm? Sounds like a nice name. Is he a nice guy?"

Inertia looked up horrified at the thought of her sister dating Kain. "NO he is not! Let's put it this way Shiver. If you go near him I will frreze you, blast you into tiny pieces and glue them back all in the wrong places. Stay the hell away from him he is dangerous in his current frame of mind!"

"OK OK I was just kidding, geeze you are worse than mom!" Shiver declared.

"Good, remember that. I am worse than Mom. Coming from you I can handle that!" Inertia said.
