Still just about the same as a few days ago when you asked as well I'd say. :P I have a boring life like that. 80% of the time it's more of the same. ^^;;

Oh I'm not complaining. I like my life remaining relatively the same as it is at the moment. But it does mean I generally don't have anything to talk to others about when it comes to my life.

Heh, decided to play mass effect 2 and 3 again. About 2/3 through ME2 now. It's probably the most tactical I'll ever get in a game. Which in this case means I actually take cover, issue orders for combo attacks, and try to position my squad half-decently. :P The game is still as fun as I remember. Though I'm looking forward more to playing ME3 than finishing ME2. (Since your save file carries over with some choices you made, I decided to play the two in order.)

I really can recommend it for anyone that likes sci-fi, shooters and rpg's. Though the rpg elements get toned down after the first game. Also a warning, since I don't know how much time you usually have. To play just the main parts of each game takes a good 15 to 20 hours depending on how fast you are. As I've said I'm about 2/3 through ME2 and I've played 22 hours so far. Though I chose to do all missions I could find.

To give a basic review of each game:

ME1:
Fantastic main story with a lovecraftian tone to it. Combat is a bit clunky, partially because it's an older game. Your item selection (weapon/armour mods mostly) is bloated. And most side missions are kinda boring. But it's a lot of fun if you haven't played it before. Just focus mostly on getting your team together and doing the main story.

ME2: Story suddenly gets hugely side-tracked in my opinion. But your choices can have a lot of impact ranging from everyone dies at the end to everyone survives at the end. (hint: crew missions are important.) Combat gets a huge improvement. Items and skills are overly simplified. But there is no bloat at all. Some really good side missions as well. I recommend getting the lair of the shadow broker DLC at the very least as it's fantastic.

ME3: Main story continued from ME1 bascially. Best combat out of the trilogy. Skills are similar to ME2 but improved. Weapon/items are a balance between what ME 1 and 2 had, which is great. Once again crew missions are important. Just keep in mind that the ending will most likely be...very disappointing. The rest of the game is definitely worth playing though!

And finally, for the most fun I'd recommend playing as a Vanguard. A mix between a space mage and a soldier with a shotgun basically. In ME2 you get "charge" which almost teleports you to an enemy and bashes them. Plus you get a shield boost. And in ME3 you also get 'nova'. You strike the ground with space magic which depletes your shield to cause an explosion around you.

In other words, yes you should play it at some point if you can! xD

It sounds like fun, I've just never really had an opportunity to pick the series up.

I will probably get you a post sometime this evening. Feeling really tired right now, and I've gotta go to work...

The games are indeed a lot of fun. They're even working on a mass effect 4 for Q1 of 2017. Which will apparently be more open world. It'll have different characters some time in the future of the first 3 games' timeline, and you'll be exploring the Andromeda galaxy.

And take your time. I'm just glad we got to get through the first day in our new rp relatively quickly. Which is basically just the introduction. I have two fights planned for the second day. (A minor and major one.) And possibly them joining the adventurers guild undercover so they get to fight more stuff in the future.

I would personally get it for PC instead if at all possible. Shooters just work better with mouse and keyboard. ^^; Besides, I don't even know if they're available on PS4. They're PS3/xbox360 (and pc) games as far as I know.

Yeah, I probably will. I just have three PS4s sitting around broken right now. I wanna get them fixed so I can play bloodborne.

3 of them? O.o Damn... I still have my PS3. :P Though mostly because I'm not interested in the newest generation. Only bloodborne is really interesting to me so far and I won't buy a PS4 just for that. :P

I found 3 broken ones for $300, and got it into my head that they were fixable. Now it's going to run me $150 per console to send them back to Sony to get them fixed. Then I have to try and make my money back on the two extra consoles so I can buy a TV to play the one I keep.

Clearly Oliver doesn't realize what kind of guild he's in yet... He plans to crusade against the monsters! Sanguine plans to force them into submission where possible and advantageous, to gain power. :P

He really doesn't. He's always known things were a little fucky, but he still thinks he can do good. even as a cleric of evil-pelor and a paladin of reason and logic, I think he's about to start losing his powers...

Nah. In this world those gods don't exist anyway. Oliver has his powers now because his character had them, not any more because of an ingame god. However learning new things would mean training just like in real life.

As for doing good, well, it's not like Sanguine doesn't want to do good. She just wants to do it in a different way. xD Realising what kind of position he's really in will no doubt be quite shocking... :P Though it's not like the signs aren't there. A vampire necromancer guild master, half of the head npc's being generally evil beings, an arena full of monsters and evil creatures... He might realize it a little more after the first fight. If not, definitely after the second one. >:3

But he only has powers because of said gods. So now he's just like, a wizard? That's a recipe for disaster...

Yeah, he's surprisingly naive, I wouldn't be surprised if he held out hope after the second fight...

Like a wizard...lol, no. Sorcerer maybe. Since sorcerers cast magic from an innate talent rather than rigorous study and discipline.

But clerics can cast spells from books, can't they? Or are you just throwing out everything I think I know?
