They can? I never knew that. As far as I know they normally always get their power from their gods. Just that they need a religious symbol to actually use said spells. Which can be in the form of a book. Other than that I don't know how clerics would cast spells.

I am pretty sure that they can cast appropriately aligned cleric spells from a book. I can't find the source for that now, of course, but I am pretty sure. They get the power from their deity, and they need a holy symbol of that deity to cast the spell, but I am pretty sure that as long as they are a high enough level they can cast spells out of a book. Now I gotta go find this...

yeah, so apparently it's not a thing any more. Clerics just know all the spells available to them at a given level and prepare the ones they want to cast for the next day...

Well, that's certainly weird... =/ But for rp purposes, the both of them now basically just know all their spells. Otherwise you'd run into problems like 'but those gods don't exist in this world'.

My plan had kind of been for the attraction to at first be one-sided. Like, suddenly Oliver has a woman latching on to him like crazy. And out you came with the exact same idea of the attraction already being there. That's the fun of rping rather than just writing a story. You never know how things might turn out, no matter how much you plan. :P

I am quite good at fucking up other people's ideas, either with common sense, or my own shenanigans. XD Sanny doesn't seem like the latch-on-like-crazy type, so I figgered Olly should hop in and secure his place as the empress' consort before someone else did.

Also, it's not about winning or losing. It's about having fun at larp. And I did have fun, though i might switch to another larp since this one has been going down hill for a bit... (Also we totally won of course. :P)

I am working on a tattoo design, it's going to cover my left arm from the top of my shoulder down to my knuckles. The theme is freedom. going for a slightly "multi-cultural" take on it.

Yay for winning! I've been looking for a tabletop group for a while, but haven't found anything yet...

I doubt most countries have symbols for freedom specific to their country. ^^;; I personally have a phoenix on my right shoulder. I decided to keep it relatively small so I could cover it up if needed. (some kinds of work require that over here at least.)

I dunno, I haven't spent enough time in other countries to find out.

My right sleeve will disappear under a dress shirt, and according to the SOPs for the Army, as long as your tattoos can't be seen in a dress uniform that includes gloves, you're good. You can even have neck tattoos if you get them before you join.
