Going with a friend, should be fun. We have a big group and like 2 people on deck to bring Cards Against Humanity. Also a party bus, yay.

Killing it in this bowtie tbh. I look dapper as shit, will post pics later.

You seem to be handling this well.

There is absolutely nothing morally wrong with leaving your stuff out in the open. You aren't a bad person for doing so. You are not "in the wrong" for not having taken precaution against someone else's shitty actions. As that is my belief, in my view what I said was perfectly applicable. But considering you're edit, I'll primarily respond to Jory-senpai. My thoughts are in a hider below though, because I've typed them all out now and I may as well put them there.

You are correct, it is not morally wrong to not take precautions. In the examples you provided, it is very clear that yes the victims in the situations did nothing wrong. However, in the pencil scenario, it's rather petty and small, taking the correct precautions to protect your things is very common knowledge. Don't leave your wallet in your back pocket in an airport, don't walk alone in sketchy areas, yeah? It's never ever "your fault" if something bad happens to you, but really it's pretty simple, precautions are as easy as putting your pencil in your pocket before you get up from your desk, putting the wallet in your front pocket, or taking the long way home. Again, it's not applicable in larger/more complicated situations like you outlined in your post, but works here for our purposes with Rax.
