Sonic is said to be "like the wind", a drifter that is always on the move and is noted for being free-spirited and with an endless appetite for adventure, whose motto is "Run daily whenever in the mood". Going wherever the flow takes him, Sonic values freedom above all else and strives to live his life according to his own rules and whims rather than the standards of those around him or for the sake of heroism and duty, never thinking twice about what other people say or think.Because of this, he does not see himself as a "hero". Owning to his love of freedom, he is also a very independent guy who is willing to live and die by his own rules.

Well, have you seen Kung Fu Panda 2 & 3? We could change the part about the lab thing into Julian trying to protect Sonic from some sort of danger, like Po's father did in Kung Fu Panda 3.

Hello there!

I have a potential plot in the Sonic movie universe where Sonic's biological father, arrives on Earth, seeking out his son that he was forced to leave when Sonic's birth village was attacked. However, he is captured by G.U.N and taken to a lab where aliens are being researched.

Long story short, Sonic eventually finds out that his biological father is in lab, being experimented on daily. Chaos and adventure come around as Sonic, Knuckles and Tails seek out Julian "Jules" the Hedgehog.

I don't have an roleplay document written for it yet, but you get the basic idea.

I suppose so. But they still have to go through training to learn how to use their powers properly, if that makes sense.
