Will they regenerate back over time if destroyed? Also how do they effect your character's ability to wear clothing? Is he forced to have them slip through his sleeves all the time, or will he be walking around shirtless? Which would evidently cause him to feel more exposed and defenseless despite his ability to defend himself with his invisible weapons.

Yes, they're just telekinetic energy so they'd grow back. If feel like not having a t-shirt isn't the most important thing to Jakob right now. :P
Razor sharp means as sharp as a razor. :P So they can't cut diamonds - unless you know something I don't?

- They're sharp enough to cut through flesh and strong enough to break through some bone too if hit correctly. They can extend and fully contract, but always grow from the chest. So it's much easier for him to defend or attack something in front of him.
- When used to shield against something, together they're only wide enough to protect about 90 degrees in one direction, or 45 degrees in two directions.
- They're strong enough to protect from weaker ranged weapons, but rifles, snipers, explosives and any well angled shots destroy or surpass his tentacles.
- They could be used to climb over obstacles like arms, but again only obstacles of a certain height, and doing so would leave him unable to shield himself.
- They're completely invisible. He can sense them like an amputee senses a phantom limb and knows where they are, although feels no sensations from them.
No, they're like solid objects, they can't phase through anything. But razor sharp, so unless the plastic was particularly thick he could cut through it.
To be honest, I could already think of a way for Jakob to get around some of those security measures.

Edit: So long as the guards were distracted.
Huh. His character doesn't seem overpowered to me at all. Just someone the guards would need plenty of ranged weapons against and the element of surprise. Could easily be solved by his character being blindfolded and cuffed (even tagged with some shocking device, but that might be overkill). Even with the strength of four of five men, he's hardly going to break through metal cuffs.

Makes me think if he was against my character in close range who has invisible razor sharp tentacles, it makes my character seem a bit overpowered... (Also, I added in another weakness for my character to try and balance it. If he's in unbearable pain he can't use his tentacles. Like if he's been stunned or badly hit. Just because telekinesis is more of a mental ability it seemed to make sense)
Cool, I hoped so.
Beyond any information not given to us, I'm pretty sure the scientists only began testing on people a few days ago who had mutated naturally. :L
I agree, I hope that although our characters have dangerous powers and all the rest of it that we remember they're still in a high security facility and there will be personalised restrictions placed on everyone.

I don't think this should be a case of everyone attacking some guards and running for the doors - maybe we could organise it better in the OOC to ensure a slightly more complex break out? For example, I'd prefer Jakob to use his linguistic skills and cultural knowledge to break out rather than his murderous telekinetic tentacles. :P
