I was refering to Willy Vereb.
Now, i'm going to dive into details about the whole shielding system, and FTL.
Hard light refers to photons which are not moving very much, therefor solid. Humanity has plasma-based force-fields, as in they use the forth state of matter to provide a defensive barrier. It's really just a fancy trick with magnets, it's the same stuff in Tokamak reactors really.
The FTL cannon is OK, though, hard-light is a no go. That is far beyond Humanity's current level of technology.
The Hegemony is rather Hellenistic, so yes. They take the best of all their colonies and put it into their government and military forces, most military however.
Oh! No, no. My first IC post is simply setting the background for all of this, why TF148 was deployed. You can format your ship's post and any particular crew actions however you want.
The whole thing is more or less free-form in terms of rules. Anything too powerful will be met with equally powerful retaliation during events.
1. My Latin is shit. I must apologize.
There's no real character template, as i'm not intending for there to really be a character aspect as there is a ship aspect to this.
2. Crew is just, you know, how much crew you have on your ship. Stuff like that.
3. Space Control Destroyers are just a fancy name for Destroyers. Usually including gratuitous amounts of missiles in their weaponry load-out.
4. The easier route i'd say would be to think what you're aiming for: Direct assault, fire support, or anti-fighter/anti-bomber.
5. Perfect, ForeverBWFC. The fleet receives their ammo in the basic supply provisions from the Golden Gate, but i suppose the Dreadnaught of the fleet has an ammo fabricator for emergencies.
Squadrons are allowed.

Orion Arm/Galactic Core Border.

HSV Montana->TF130 "HSV Montana to Task Force 130...HSV Montana to Task Force 130...please respond.
TF130->HSV Montana "Task Force 130 Flagship Repulse here, reading 10 by 10."
HSV Montana->TF130 "HSV Montana requesting status update on TF130's operations."
TF130->HSV Montana "All operations nominal. No signs of hostile activity. Supply status is marginal.
HSV Montana->TF130 "HSV Montana copies. We'll pass word along."
Meanwhile, 4000 kilometers away from TF130's position, a wormhole opens and begins to emit huge amounts of EM radation, serving as a jamming device. Ships emerge. Non-human ships.
TF130->HSV Montana "HSV Montana, we're [interference] a lot of [static]..
HSV Montana->TF130 "HSV Montana to HSV Repulse, please repeat, your transmission is garbled."
TF130->HSV Montana "HSV Repulse [crackle] under heavy [static]. Please assist!"
HSV Montana->TF130 "HSV Repulse, please respond."
TF130->HSV Montana "HSV Repulse damaged beyond all reasonable use. Self Destruct just [crackle]. TF130 Reporting Code Black. This is the last possible transmission from HSV Indianapolis. Good luck, HSV Montana. XO of [crackle] signing off."
Minutes later, six distress beacons are picked up by the HSV Montana.
Premises:
The year is 2450. Humanity has expanded beyond Earth, our cradle of life and to the coldest depths of space, expanding across the Orion arm of the galaxy and starting to expand into the Galactic Core. Managing the thousands of worlds that Humanity owns, is the Terran Hegemony. The Hegemony is powerful in many ways. It's ground forces are advanced, with heavy main battle tanks and mechas being common during most operations, from training to downright invasion. The Hegemony's air forces are also rather expansive and vast; Multi-role fighter-bombers, bombers, and other kinds of aircraft dominate the Hegemony's skies. Most impressive however, is the Hegemony's space fleet. Thousands of vessel make up the fleet. Plasma weaponry is being introduced, lasers are common, so are ion beams. The pride and joy of any Hegemony warship, however, are rail-guns. The heaviest warships in the Hegemony's space navy mount thousands of them.

Task Force Participation 101: The fleet and you.
You and your ship that you will design are part of Hegemony Deep Space Task Force 148, sent to the edge of the Orion arm of the Milky way, and bordering the Galactic Core. HDSTF148 will encounter a number of hostile entities, including aliens, space whales, more aliens, black holes, wormholes, supernovas, red giants, neutron stars, pulsars, and anything else that might maim, kill, or destroy.
But it's not all bad. Every in game month (10 action posts) HDSTF148 will be resupplied by the HSV Golden Gate. Each ship receives a basic allowance of goods as well as 1000 supply 'points' to spend on additional items. Basic resupply includes propellant, reactor fuel, basic nutritional meals, and water.

Okay, wow, this thread exploded.
@Sep
O.K with that.
@Capra
While i don't mind it, i would rather do that when i have the plot line developed more. More than one ship is OK.

You would be playing that specific ship, so yes. As for the crew, i don't mind that. Sounds like a good idea. Most of the time i will be changing from the perspective of the Captain of the Montana and an observer.
