Bio

I do enjoy a good story! Even more so if it's intriguing enough to suck me right into it, as though I were there alongside the characters.

I live in reality so I do not enjoy writing about it.

See you soon

hello everyone happy new year, belated birthdays, easter etc . How are the folks of Rift these days?

<---- is around
I'm trying Eyeris. It's hard to get into a flow with this RP right now though. I hope it picks up soon.
once they were outside, Dimitri was reminded yet again that he hated the cold. This world was an oddity in itself that was for sure as he gawked at the scene before him. Flying metal contraptions and dragons? The dragon was the least strange thing he had seen so far, having seen similar beasts in passing back on Temperance. As far as he knew the great scaled beasts of the skies back home, were not hostile and considered almost like a deity, Their vast life span telling tails of infinite knowledge and intelligence while simultaneously commanding respect. The origins of the dragons back home were older than the risen continents and these ones had grown docile over the centuries.

In actual fact his aerial companion was similar to its draconian counterpart. Far smaller than any dragon mind you but they bared similar features. The Windstriders of the Eastern Ridges were quite gentle once they got to know you but would fight if threatened.

Stranger to Dimitri was the metal vehicle the dragon was currently chewing on and also the metallic weapons that William and Dzel were carrying. He had not seen them actually do anything and he was curious to see them in action.

This dragon was not friendly. It seemed the complete opposite of what Dimitri was used to. Aggressive and powerful, a manifestation of pure rage it seemed as he watched what little light was left reflect in its jagged scales. it watched the gouts of flames as they burst from the dragon and the metal vehicle lodged in its great maw.

He watched Dzel as she readied her weapon then asked William if it would hurt the dragon. The monk was unsure what William thought of this dragon in any case, but Dzel seemed not to be afraid of it. no wonder to Dimitri. He figured the woman had nerves of steel anyway. He lifted Herbert to his feet and steadied him holding his gaze "I guess this isn't something you're used to seeing huh? I say we head down the pathway. anywhere seems better than in front of this creature right now."
he then called to Dzel

"I think we should leave Dzel. Down the pathway and hopefully towards the base of this cursed mountain. Unless you're certain that metal weapon will put the beast down... though considering its size compared to the dragons well I'd just hate to upset it further given the circumstances laid before us."
I think we should be able to move the story along without having to always wait for gm or co gm posts. I'm more used to a faster pace for posting personally, but I'm surviving. and if anything rears too far off track the powers that be wil get everything back on track at some point.
it isn't much. But at least I can't get told off for not posting :oP
Dimitri nodded as Ryann expressed her intentions then his eyes slid to Dzel as she was gathering her armor and he smiled as she bolted past him down the tunnels behind William. If she was going to follow William, then he would go with the flow and follow also. After all the more the merrier was the monk's philosophy; at least when it came to drinking and eating anyway.

"Then i guess it is decided. Herbert, Ryann! I will follow after you both." he commented with a sweeping gesture towards the tunnels.

With one fluid motion, he tossed the rest of the peach schnapps down his gullet and tucked the empty bottle into his robes. It was his only weapon for now and one never knew when a solid glass bottle might come in handy.
Once Ryann and Herbert took off he proceeded down the tunnels behind them with a steady pace to ensure he did not lose sight of William or Dzel. From the rear he could also keep track of Ryann and Herbet to make sure they didn't fall too far behind the group.

The monk could tell by how she moved that Dzel was a capable warrior. She could look after William on her own if became necessary. So Dimitri figured it would be best for him to bring up the rear in case they wound up being chased by any unexpected visitors that might prove hostile.
Affili, you trying to say Will acted meta or something? He used the tunnels to get here.

And yeah, people are gonna think his reaction was unusual. He lived through a nuclear war : p this shit is nightmares to him.

Nervous about the next round of responses though, there'll be an element of 'why did that guy run the fuck away immediately'. Which'll be unpleasant to read.

Maybe we all should run with him lol.
Will will be alright. given the circumstances. Running seems like a perfectly good response.
Dimitri had nursed the bottle of peach schnapps down to about half way during the time he was laying there recuperating. The veteran only felt slightly fuzzy from the effects of the fruity alcohol but it would have to do for now.

As he laid there others spoke of their homelands and other bits and pieces but it was all foreign to him. He began to long for his homelands once more. the familiar faces of his companions. The curvy sorceress, that brute of a warrior and even the hunter and his thick exotic accent. He missed being in the heat of battle and the long journeys full of nights so dark, the glow of a fire spread far and wide. But most of all, he missed his flask and his mace. The absence of these items made him feel incomplete and he longed to feel the familiar tug of his soul essence as it resonated from the catalysts. He patted at the flask's usual spot on his waste with a sigh. Even the air on Temperance seemed more refreshing than this frigid wasteland.

As expected, Dzel's head drooped after a few moments but still the woman would not succumb to sleep eve after all her wounds and his healing. The monk admired her even more for the way she handled the side effects of his potent healing.
she would definitely prove useful should they be forced into battle and as a feeling of dread flooded into him he was all the more glad that he had spent the time tending to her.

The moment the ground shook William shot to his feet rambling off a number of comprehensible things and bolted towards some tunnels that Dimitri had only just noticed. But he had been preoccupied since the group had found their way inside so it was perfectly acceptable for him not to be fully aware of his surroundings wasn't it?

A few moments later a blood curdling roar erupted from the sky far above and Dimitri watched as Dzel stirred at the sound of the roar. It was a casual stir, no where near the same reaction that William had just displayed. In fact, if the warrior was at all startled by the sound, she made a good show of not revealing it.

"That can't be a good sign now can it" he spoke ominously as he dragged himself to his feet. It took a few minutes for the monk to get the better of the weariness that was threatening to turn his legs to lead. He had exhausted a massive amount of energy to get Dzel back up to the capacity she would need to be worth a damn in a fight, but the rest was up to her to deal with for now.

He glanced around the room at the others, gauging the integrity of the walls at the same time wondering if they would withstand another tremor such as the one they had just felt.

The monk pointed at Williams's back then continued "Who wants to follow William? and who has another idea?" his eyes rested on Dzel again as he met her eyes. "I'm definitely up for suggestions!"
phew

hope it was ok.
