Bio

I do enjoy a good story! Even more so if it's intriguing enough to suck me right into it, as though I were there alongside the characters.

I live in reality so I do not enjoy writing about it.

See you soon

Dimitri

Dimitri followed Twain and the others to the infirmary. After all, Herbert was one of the only people he had been with on that mountain that was still around. He watched quietly as XIII began directing heat towards the unconscious man but for the moment, the monk was in doubt that it would ever reach the elder man. Dimitri had been round plenty of death in his days, and it always felt the same, cold, empty were Herbet not so far gone Dimitri may have been able to pull him back from the edge but as it seemed right now, the man had already fallen over the edge and most times it was a furious journey for any party involved to bring someone back once they had tipped over that edge, but it could be done as long as the one who was in death still maintained a will to survive.

He watched as Twain went to work on Herbert also. The energy pulsating from Twain was not a welcoming sensation though, that feeling, it felt dangerous, but he allowed him to proceed. Perhaps this realm called earth's take on death was different than the realm of Temperance "Mr Twain, if his will to live has vanished, you might not be bringing back the same Herbert, are you sure this is wise? Perhaps we should just drink to his memory and leave him be?" Were the only words the monk spoke as he looked on.

Dayna

She chuckled at Winston's sudden change in skin color as he turned beet red, mimicking his hues and pulsating them through her mass. "Whats wrong Winston? I never knew you could change color so brilliantly! Are you sure you are not an elemental sprite like me?"

A few broken sentences at first and some stammering but eventually Winston managed to compose himself to some extent.
"No I am not an Elemental sprite, it's just that...well um..." his words trailed off
She drew closer to him. almost up to his face and gazed thoughtfully into his eyes
"Well um what?" she prodded expecting more to his words

Poor Winston was at a loss for words. He never expected to be explaining male and female anatomy to a strange ball of energy when he had punched in for work today, but such was the life there at trident.

Should he treat her as a child? Or take a more direct approach. Dayna had demonstrated a high level intelligence thus far so perhaps the more direct approach would be the way to go in this instance.

His eyes darted towards Rozalind, silently pleading for some back up, but she seemed more than happy to leave him to the wolves on this matter. 'That's Just like her. Shes loving every moment of this. So cruel' he thought to himself as Dayna slowly started to circle him.

He adjusted his spectacles and stepped back a touch while clearing his throat.
"Well lets see" he began cautiously "Here on earth, males look different then females." a nervous eye twitch followed by a sigh. Maybe an adult magazine or two would be better suited to show the examples, that way he could just leave them with her and not have to explain anything. But he would never live that down. Porn jokes for years, people at work would stick embarrassing photographs up all over his locker and scatter them all around his desk.

"Females have certain parts that males do not have." he proceeded, swallowing a lump in his throat.
"There are many different female shapes out there and the same goes for males, but the overall form of a human is the same. when a female turns sideways, the lumps that protrude from her are far more noticeable then a male's.
Dayna absorbed his words like a sponge.
"Are the lumps on a female more noticeable to you because you are a male Winston? Do you like larger lumps or little lumps" she asked excitedly, hovering over to the young girl once more.

Winston was no more good after that.
He tapped the phone holster on his waist suddenly as if his phone was vibrating, then snatched it into his hand "Sorry Dayna, I have to go for now." He informed as he pressed the phone into his cheek and began speaking as though there was someone important on the other end. A few moments later he was practically running from the conference room.
"Wait Winston, I have more questions, don't leave yet!"
She went to follow him but suddenly stopped as she felt the presence of fire. it was a faint connection and much like the water, it felt unfamiliar but it was definitely the energy of fire. She quickly left the conference room and headed towards the infirmary.
Meh some you win, some you lose.
omfg the ooc breathes once more. I was wondering where all the people went :oP

hows everyone?

Taxian was in his cups at Dominos place. Once the last bit of light had faded, he left the forge for the night. Well that and the fact that his stomach had rumbled in disapproval several times as he was finishing off the last of his orders for the day. Being skilled with the forge, some projects were quite mundane while others were of much enjoyment to the smithy and unfortunately, the orders eh had just finished up were mundane. A few garden tools for a local farmer. But money was money, if he waited around for those more enjoyably projects, he would never make any profit after all.

He looked up at Domino "Hey Katherine, send another round my way would you, and pour one for yourself while your at it. You look like you need it.

A voice called from beside him "Excuse me Mr Furthlowe...But I've been sent to deliver a message to you" the voice spoke nervously
"Oh? at a time like this? You're interrupting my drinking time messenger"
The young man shifted side to side nervously "Yes well, Sorry about that but this message is important"
"Says you" the smithy grumbled "Have a drink with me first then I'll hear your message"
"But..."
"But what?" he replied, sliding a shot glass full of whiskey towards the younger man then continuing "Whats the matter boy? Afraid of getting in trouble?
"It's not that, its just the message sir"
"Oh very well!" Taxian stated bluntly then tossed a drink down his throat "What is it?
"The council has requested both you and lady Domino in the council hall at once!" the messenger spoke quickly then turned to leave but Taxian took hold of the man's collar and dragged him towards the bar
"Now now, I heard your message, now hold up your end of the agreement" he said poinitng towards the shot glass
"I never agreed to that"
"I said drink messenger" he stated bluntly, slamming the reluctant messenger into a bar stool beside him.
"Sheesh, I guess it cant be helped" the messenger uttered with a sigh, before tossing back the drink.
"Good!" the hulking blacksmith said, pounding the boy on his back "Wasn't that tasty?"
"Not particularly no, I prefer scotch myself"
"Oh really? well why didn't you say something fool"
"I just didn't see much choice in the matter Mr Furthlowe. My my look at the time, I must be going."
The messenger quickly retreated
"Hey, where you going? don't you want another drink messenger?" Taxian chuckled then looked over his shoulder towards Katherine,
"Well, thanks for the drinks, I guess I'll see you there!" he finished, as he rose to his feet and sundered towards the council hall.
'what do they want now' the thought to himself as he gazed towards the looming keep in the distance

Just the basic Elements for now, not to say that two elements cant be melded together by two characters to create a secondary one though.
I didn't think I was confused lol. I could have sworn it was evening time but I guess not. I think I screwed it up for everyone because I think I wrote that while it was getting dark :oP well tomorrows another day. Sorry if I confused the time of days. It's all good though right? Dinner time is always a good time to start something off ;o)
Dimitri,

the jovial monk had been eyeing some pastries of his own but he quickly examined what he had in his hands and scrunched his face up before tossing it to the side of the table after seeing Herbert's reaction to the food he had finished eating. Maybe they had poisoned the food? Perhaps they hadn't. Herbert had seemed a bit out of the ordinary since they first met but the older man was one of the only faces the monk recognized in the assembly and once Herbert started acting more peculiar then stumbled out of the room it did not take Dimitri long to rise to his feet and follow after him. He pushed past the man accompanied by a strange glowing ball and as his arm brushed up against the ball of energy he paused for a moment, feeling a strange surge resonate through his arm but he didn't take too much consideration for the moment, quickly brushing past the younger lass standing with them and arriving out in the hallway just in time to see Herbert retching then clamber to the floor.

Herbert was drenched in sweat but he was still breathing, though his breath was raspy and the man seemed feverish. Hopefully he had just fainted but Dimitri was no doctor the monk knelt beside him. "Come one old timer. you didn't make it through that damn blizzard and a fiery dragon just to be taken down by a mere pastry" he commented aloud, shaking the prone form of Herbert gently. Dimitri supposed he could attempt to heal the man, but there were no visible injuries so it was either something internal, or some kind of mental issue, maybe just stressed. The dragon had been no strange sight for Dimitri, nor the harsh environment of those mountains but the towering monk could understand how such things could be overwhelming for someone who was not accustomed to such things. Not to mention all that alk of death and cults it was enough to make anyone cringe.

"Maybe someone should get a doctor of some sort?" he called over his shoulder towards the meeting room.

Dayna

It had taken her a while to calm down, but as promised by Winston, once she was reasonably calm, he let her out of the prison. She could feel a familiar energy signature encompassing the whole area, and it was significant. As she hovered slowly behind Winston half listening to him muttering on about Earth again she focused on that energy, and felt some characteristics of water pulsing through it. Dayna suddenly shot past Winston, catching him a bit off guard as she floated up to his eye level forcing the man to stop for a moment.
"Hey Winston, are we near water?" she asked excitedly, "I can feel it but it feels different then what I'm used to.
"As a matter of fact, we are! We're actually under the water!"
this comment puzzled The ball of energy for a moment and her mind flooded with a thousand other questions to ask be she refrained from asking.
"You earth creatures really are quite fascinating!, Being able to be under the water without getting wet! Who would have thought."
"Have you no houses or anything where you come from Dayna?"
"No. I mean I sleep in a cave sometimes but, I guess I never decided that I needed this house thing you speak of. The thought of being separated from how the rains feel or being unable to feel the wind does not sit well with me."
Winston chuckled to himself, This creature was indeed a puzzle. The whole idea of an elemental plane fascinated him.
"Does every element have a distinct feeling to you Dayna?"
"What kind of silly question is that? Of course they do. They all have a unique energy signature."
"I see!" Winston replied
"No, you can not see it. You're a Winston creature." she stated matter of factually. "Not like me, or other Sentenients. I mean you can feel the wetness of the water sure, and the heat from the flames. You can even feel the wind as it caresses your face, but you can not actually feel its true nature.
"That's not what I meant" he added flatly with a sigh.
"Well maybe you should be more specific with what you mean! Your language seems so guttural at times."
The two proceeded to the meeting in silence, but Winston could not help smiling to himself.

There were all sorts of other creatures gathered at the meeting, most looking similar to Winston's species some more slender and curvy. Their energies varied quite a lot though and several were consuming things as they waited. It was safe to say Dayna felt a bit flustered when the others took notice of her. she could see that she was one of the strangest beings gathered there after all.

A slender looking version of Winston's species moved over to him once they entered the room, and Dayna looked at the new comer curiously; slowly spiraling around her.
"Why do you have humps and bumps and curves where Winston does not?" she asked Mallaidh, altering her form slightly so that a portion of it slowly extended towards Mallaidh's chest. "They are kind of small, but they are there none the less and they look strangely firm. He is even flatter in that area though. How fascinating" she finished.

The one called Twain briefed them all of what had happened, but soon after the meeting commenced two of the others suddenly left. A feeble looking hunched over one, and a towering giant who rudely pushed past her.
Raise your hands if you all had those intros typed and waiting to be modified at first chance

Taxian Furthlowe

The rich aroma of Freshly brewing coffee lingered heavily in the air of Taxian’s kitchen as it brewed over a modest cooking fire. The large blacksmith sat at his writing desk within the parlor of his home pouring over his ledgers thoughtfully as he waited; his mother's old leather bound diary tucked carefully away out of harm's reach. The book and a few shattered memories where the only possessions he had left of his mother.

He paused from his readings and moved to the kitchen to pour himself a cup of coffee, catching a glimpse of dying embers of his forge outside. It would soon be dinner time. He had picked a great location for his home and shop actually. It was on elevated plot of land near the edge of the town, far away enough from other homes so he did not disturb them and vice versa. Often the smoke of his forge could be seen rising from quite a distance away so people were able to locate the shop easily enough. It was a bit of a walk to get to the center of the town where all the bustles of the day took place, but he didn't mind it all that much.

Inhaling deeply as the coffee aroma reached his nostrils his lips drew into a slight smile. In all his years, he had never come across a better tasting coffee then how is Mother used to make and he was thankful she had passed the secrets off to him when he was younger.

The large blacksmith returned to his desk, coffee in hand and highlighted several outstanding items in his ledger that need the most attention muttering to himself. Taxian didn’t really enjoy chasing after his customers for bills, but that came with the territory of running a successful business.
Sliding the ledger to the side he turned his attention to is work orders for the next day, absently arranging them in a specific order of progression before his eyes shifted to his mother's diary, and a few moments later he took it into his large hands as one would handle a newborn child then gently leafed through it skimming over a few entries before returning it to its rightful place as that definitive feeling of guilt threatened to enshroud him.
“What a life we could’ve lived ma! Had I only been stronger back then. Perhaps we would be sharing coffee together right now” he spoke aloud as a heavy sighed passed through him.

As if often was, the only way of easing his troubled thoughts was working the forge and shaping metal. It was hard to explain, but there was something about glowing metal and wild flames that offered a perfect refuge for the veteran fighter. So with one final swig, he finished his coffee then made his way back to the forge. There was still some daylight left so he tended the coals once more and brought a blaze to life so he could finish off a few simple projects. If he never got around to cooking that evening, once he was cleaned up, he would just head over to Katherine’s local watering hole for some of her food.
