This account is pretty inactive now. But I pop on from time to time to see if anything of interest pops up. I tend to drop out of things with writers block if I find myself lacking in interest, but do try to keep things long=term. Been offline for most of the last 12 months but hoping I might soon find something to get me back in that RP saddle.

"Perfect Job?" Akira asked with a soft chuckle. "Sometimes perfect doesn't always turn out perfectly though huh?" At one point they were both likely perfect for the roles they had been assigned to them. Now though, a demon hunter who had became part demon, and an angel that had been sent to slay him turned rogue. As time went on and the tavern grew more busy the feeling of a watching gaze began to fad from Akira. Perhaps they had just turned the heads of the regulars, being the new faces in town. Though it was rare... Akira shook the empty tankard as he peered inside the cup, that he'd have the opportunity to finish his a drink he had started without coming under verbal or physical attack. For a change it would seem he'd found somewhere that was truly peaceful, though his current life predicaments could not allow him to lower his guard.

The idea of this being as calmed as it appeared seemed like a foreign concept and the only thing that eventually broke Akira's thought was when Allura spoke once again. "Food huh?" Akira contemplated the idea of maybe looking for some place to eat. "You know I'll usually go a few days between meals." Akira seemed confident in his answer those he stomach rose up in strong and loud objection. "Well I guess it couldn't hurt to get a better lay of the town?" Maybe it was because he couldn't usually afford to even think about food without first thinking of which way to run if someone suddenly came after him. Akira shook the negative thoughts from his mind. "If we swing by the guilds area we're likely to find something much more fitting to our current budget, caterers will be looking to make easy coin off the work force. Plus we can see what there is to earn coin." Akira pointed out with a small smile, agreeing that maybe they should look for someplace to eat after all.

As they spoke of moving on it was almost like people had been listening in as patrons seemed to shuffle slowly to the soon to become vacated booth. "Clearly not a location for quiet conversation." Akira stated as he rolled his eyes before returning his gaze towards Allura with a smile. "Then shall we?" He asked as he slid his way out of the chair and side stepped a few patrons, the angry man from before evidently looking to claim the booth once more for himself and his friends. Akira waited for Allura to make her way over before eventually leading the way back out onto the streets. As before this section of town was far quieter than the location of the shops. The traffic of people seemed to only be those going in and out of the tavern before either staggering their way home or departing for some other purpose. "I'm afraid it can't be anything too extravagant on our current coin unless we want to run ourselves out of funds before we've even started." Akira spoke almost frowning at the idea of not being able to treat them both to something that would actually taste better than 'ok'. "With that in mind, anything to avoid?" Was there things that and Angel couldn't eat, a stupid question may be but most creatures regardless of form had to avoid consuming some things. For example no sane demon would drink blessed water or wine, or consume any food that had been prepared as some form of holy ritual.
Welcome back dude, I'll try to get something up tomorrow ^_^
Hi guys, apologies for the absence my work load has been and still is hectic. I've been working overtime pretty much everyday to try and keep up (and failing horribly). I've only actually skipped out early today due to prior engagements that has prevented me from staying in.

As such it's with regret that I'll be withdrawing from all role plays other than 1 on 1's for the time being until the situation at work calms back down again and I don't want to slow everyone down from having to wait on me.

@The One I may consider returning with a new character in the distant future, provided I am welcome to do so. However that won't be until things have calmed down a bit in life. Unfortunately when I've been dragging myself in at 9-10pm I haven't really had the right mind set for posting.

Anyways I think that's enough of a goodbye, take care guys.
Irvine had tried his best to keep to himself on his way up to the Academy. However in an attempt to not draw any attention, it appears that the approach had drawn attention. A student had caught up to him on the steps and introduced themselves. Irvine softly flinched as he was spoken to, however for a brief moment he tried to deflect that the conversation was directed toward him as he continued to walk up the steps. Even he could not keep up this level of rudeness however when the student asked for his name. Irvine cautiously turned his head to look at the student walking beside him, his expression was devoid of any form of interest as he spoke. "Irvine, Irvine Code. I..." Irvine stopped to think before continuing. "...I can manipulate shadows. Well darkness in general really" Irvine's darkened cowl shifted each time the sun struck it from a different angle.

Irvine begins to pick up his pace but turns and speaks one last thing to his fellow student. "Fear can be a strong ally, not everyone finds weakness in it. Take darkness, people believe it bows to the light. Yet so long as there is light, there will always be darkness... and when the lights gone, it's all there'll be." With that last comment Irvine gave a simple nod as he continued to jog his way to the top of the stairway.

Upon reaching the island he glanced around wide-eyed at his surroundings as he headed to the school building. So many things he'd not seen before, having only known the concrete jungle his entire lifetime. Once finally inside the school building Irvine could see the rows of seats already prepared for the students, but he had no interest in sitting amongst the others, opting instead to lean against a pillar within the grand spaced room. Such position after all served as a great spot to observe, which he'd choose over 'mingling' with the others.

@Raizin
I'm still here
Irvine was fortunate, it do not appear that the fighting would be making its way over to him. With a sigh of relief Irvine beckoned to the shadow creation with his hand and it faded back to nothing but that which the sun would cast behind him. However it still didn't seem all that safe so Irvine decided to stay clear of the centre, at least until this Arken guy showed up. Whilst in this trail of thought Irvine glanced around him, catching a glimpse of a girl leaping towards him, his eyes grew wide startled and caught off guard once again by a new arising situation. Before she would come into contact with him though she was caged away in a earthen cell and before his shocked look could translate itself into one of anger she was gone from his sight.

Irvine reached out and touched the wall of the corridor that had just erected itself in front of him. Strange, it was almost as though it had been created in the same way as what had caged the girl only a moment ago. As the words began to spell themselves out made out of dust and dirt Irvine sceptically read the message. With everything that had happened could he really trust it? Glancing around, it didn't seem he had much of a choice the path behind him was blocked and it didn't look like the path would lead to where this 'friend' of whoever was helping him was caged. Maybe this was the first creature he'd encounter that wasn't looking for a fight on this field, with a shrug Irvine slowly began to pace down the path forged ahead of him. What was that thing anyway? That leap didn't seem like one fuelled by someone looking for a fight, perhaps hunger. Once Irvine made it to the end of the corridor and the treeline he sighed once more leaning against a tree and looking back down the earthen passage, all he could do now was wait.

It wouldn't be long after the waiting had begun that the corridor disappeared. Back toward the centre of the field there appeared to be a new person, perhaps this was Arken. With little other choice Irvine began to make his way toward the centre of the field. As he passed the girl that had leapt at him, giving her a curious glance over his shoulder. It seemed now that she was fine at least, either that or she'd found some form of prey. Irvine had made it over to the centre to simply catch the end of Arken's speech, from the looks on some faces it'd appear he had been addressing the students, his main focus would also have appeared to be on those fighting. Before him now laid a staircase, leading up to the clouds, up beyond where his eyes could see at least. "This could take a while." Irvine grumbled as he glanced down to his shadow behind him. "Alright time to move." With that said his shadow enshrouded the boy again its cowl resting over his head, as Irvine began to climb the stairs. The first impressions hadn't been great but it would seem that for the most part Irvine had failed to make any. Alas, maybe it was better to set no impression than to set a bad one, but perhaps in not setting an impression that in itself was a bad impression? "Bah." Irvine grumbled to himself once more as he thoughts continued their internal conflict. Hopefully this journey would be shorter than it initially appeared.
Hey no worries, take your time. I know what it's like, I suffer from what's called 'Cluster Headache' which basically means I sometimes have 2-3 migraines a day for about a month. A lot of people don't seem to appreciate just how bad head related illness can get.
Irvinehad been making slow progress towards the larger group at the centre of the field when something whispered in his ear. The boy inevitably flinched at the sudden interaction as he simply glared into the blank space in front of him. Surely this was the actions of another student, though he couldn't see them. He glanced over both shoulders, still nothing. But then a girl approached and stated that she could see something, or rather someone. If this was a taster of the year ahead this was going to get very confusing. "excuse me..." Is all the boy mumbled out as he looked back to the floor and continued walking. He wasn't one to really stop and talk, he'd rather just observe what exactly he'd gotten himself into.

Before Irvine had a chance to reach the centre however a large group of people appeared to be marching across the field. Followed by animals, small and big... why all this for just one individual? The idea was rather beyond his comprehension, he'd understand just groups of people, like a mob leader maybe, but this would possibly represent a circus. But then.. if it were a circus why was the person getting off the largest of the creatures acting all high and mighty. "Bah..." Irvine stated as he pushed the long trial of pointless thought form his mind. It appeared another student didn't take to well to this persons appearance and things seemed to be turning sour rather quickly. The boy fumbled his hand down to the hilt held at his belt as he simply chose to continue observing.

Complete chaos, that was the only way to describe that which had quickly unfolded on the field of students. Those that wielded greater powers began fighting amongst themselves. Whether magic or otherwise and even transformations, this was not a situation Irvine was about to put himself in the middle of. His shadow separated from Irvine and began to take form until it stood beside him, though they had no intention of joining the fight they might not have the leisure of that choice for very long. Irvine simply looked to the other version of himself as he simply asked. "You've got my back right?" the shadow creature drew its own hilt and with a swift wrist flick a blade of darkness formed in the empty void where a physical blade would sit if they were one. The shadow simply nodded as it stepped forward as though intending to guard Irvine from the conflict that was occurring.
Sorry I couldn't post yesterday, had to work overtime then pretty much got dragged out by the lat stayers for drinks afterwards. I'll get something up now.
Irvine navigated the back alleys of the town he most frequented as he looked down to the invitation letter. How their messenger had been able to locate him despite his constant movement made him question the integrity of the locals in his head. Though it would do him no benefit to seek payback upon them, how did he even get invited to this place anyhow? The 'Ordinary Mythical Academy' the letter appeared official enough so it was definitely worth checking out, they clearly at least had some knowledge of his lack of social skills, the messenger had merely handed him the envelop and then left without explanation. Irvine pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind as he adjusted the battered bag strap for the rucksack bearing what few possessions he owned. A field was the designated meeting spot for those who couldn't fly... a field, an open space with little to no objects that would cast any shadows apart from those stood in it. Just the idea of being out in the open was discomforting enough, Irvine tried not to think of how many people might be there, or if there'd be anyone similar to himself.

With walking being his only method of getting there Irvine have been travelling for some time before the destination was in sight. According to the letter the headmaster would be meeting the students that had gathered there to take them to the academy. The location of the Academy itself was clearly nowhere reachable on foot, especially with the ability of flight being a prerequisite of getting their alone. Perhaps however there was other means than flight? Well even if there was Irvine probably didn't have the means of reaching it. It would appear that some students had already gathered there, Irvine glanced ahead his eyes fixing on each person for a few seconds before glancing to the next. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all, as Irvine turned to walk away he saw himself standing in front of him, well his shadow actually. The silhouette shook its head at Irvine before giving him a gentle nudge. "Fine..." he mumbled before turning to face the people already at the field. "Lets go then." Irvine's shadow then, encroached onto the boy as it hugged into him, slowly wrapping itself around him and creating a shrouded hood of darkness. With a small smile on his face he continued his walk to the centre where others already gathered.
