Physical Description:
This four foot firecracker is a pale-skinned runt with big brown eyes and purple hair. Her fashion style is crudely tomboyish. She prefers comfortable sneakers and loose articles of street wear over sundresses, pretty shoes, and lip gloss. Whatever she has on is almost always stained with pastels or dried up streaks of clay and aerosol paint.
Biography/background:
Dear Penpal,
This is going to be my only letter to you. My name is Leeloo Mari. My parents named me after an alien from some old science fiction movie. Can you guess the name? I have my mother's hair and my father's eyes. I am 10 and a half years old. I was born and raised in Zone 2: Konan, Shiga Prefecture, Japan. My mother is a nurse at Tokai Central Hospital. My father works at the Kakamigahara Munitions Factory. He manufactures weapons and ammunition for the army. I wonder sometimes if any of the guns or bullets he made were used by my sister, Ruby. Dad likes to think so. It's why he works so hard - not just for my sister's sake, but for 'all of the other kids out there making their parents worried sick.'
We don't hear much from her, but she messages us whenever she can. The last time she came home was about a year ago. She only stayed for a week before the army shipped her back out. I miss her a lot. I have two younger brothers. Vito is 8 and Fog just turned 6. Oh yeah, I guess all of my siblings were named after characters from that movie too. Did you guess the name yet? You probably don't know it. It's pretty old.
I bet you think our family is weird. You probably think I'm weird. If you do, well... you don't know the half of it. I have moonmen powers and you'll never guess what kind.
Give up?
It's hard to explain. Let's just say my art literally has a life of its own. My parents found out about my powers when I was Fog's age. Dad wanted nothing to do with it. He even tried to stop me, but Mom was different. She was a painter before the government forced her to work at the hospital. She saw my strange talent as a 'gift, wrapped in a gift', and encouraged me to let my imagination run wild. So I practiced in her old art studio in the abandoned mall district. I got good, real good. And then I kinda got carried away.
I started making street art around town for scare pranks. It was fun until I scared the wrong people. One thing lead to another, and before you know it, I was in BIG trouble with the police. My parents had to explain to the deputy how their daughter made a three headed dragon with a snowman's body come to life and wreak havoc. The deputy didn't believe them (Do you blame him?) until I drew a portrait of his ugly face on my prison wall. I made it jump out at him, demolishing the wall and part of the police department's infrastructure along with it. I shouldn't have done that. That's why this is the only letter you'll get from me. I have to go away now. The Coalition wants to use me like Ruby - for the war against the Moonmen. Hey, maybe you have Moonmen powers too and I might see you. If not, take care and don't get murdered out there.
LM
P.S.: You can write back to my brother Vito if you want. He always wanted to know what kids from other zones are like. Just make sure you use small words because he has a small baby 8 year old dumb brain.

Personality:
Leeloo is unusually mature for her age, which is often juxtaposed by her rebellious, non-filtered brashness. In fact she's quite the prankster, but her handiwork is never aimed at anyone that didn't deserve it. Most of the time. She possesses a certain confidence in her identity and is fairly secure for a 11 year old. At times it almost appears as though the weight of this grim world has no bearing on her, and it is often mistaken for naivete of a child menace.
Type:
Support
Special Ability:
Leeloo has the ability to create any sort of object, being, or power exclusively through art. Whether it's by sculpting, carving, painting, sketching, or origami, she is limited only by her imagination. Projects that require time and effort are more stable manifestations. Quick sketches or hastily formed mediums are often erratic with short life spans. She can use most surfaces for a canvas. Whatever the composition the canvas is (metal, wood, brick, paper, dirt, air, etc.) becomes the subject's overall framework. The structural integrity depends on her willpower and focus to maintain it as such. This is a very taxing ability when manipulating large/abstract constructs on the fly, and things of such magnitude don't often come to life as anticipated.
Skillset:
She really doesn't do much aside from art, but she is a jack-of-all-trades. Her favorite medium is sketch/graffiti illustration and clay sculpting.
Equipment:
A satchel full of various art supplies ranging from aerosol paint cans and markers, to stacks of sketchbooks and blocks of clay. She also keeps a gas mask handy for when she does graffiti. It helps protect her respiratory system from the solvent paint she uses. Her signature red ball cap actually belongs to Ruby. She gave it to Leelo as a parting gift before she left for the military. Leeloo is rarely seen without it.
