Current Ever had that moment were you've just lost a battle of wills with your dog and think to yourself, "maybe I should be the one sleeping on the floor"? I have. It's oddly liberating.

My Lit Lecturer used Matt Fraction's Hawkeye run to display the effect of narratology in class today. It's the first thing he's spoken about all term that I've actually read.

How good is the Punisher in Netflix's Daredevil series? "Just some guys who are about to walk into a diner for the last time." That line is so manly it could make a toddler sprout a beard.

The Justice League trailer is giving me mixed emotions. On the one hand, I desperately want to get hyped. On the other, Snyder and co have burnt me too many times in the past. I'm a conflicted mess.

What? The Lethal Weapon tv show isn't utter garbage at all, instead being an enjoyable watch. What the fuck is the world coming to?

Morning guys, how's tricks?

@The Kid Lantern Yeah, that why I specified wild lions as opposed to ones living in a zoo. The zoo's only really a helpful environment for him if the animals can get out of their cages, which, you know, they aren't supposed to.

@Nightrunner When I asked who experimented on him I meant in relation to 'Years of experimentation ensued, with Jack steadily becoming more and more familiar with the quirks of his own anatomy.'

@Weird Tales So where's the rest of the Forever People while Marks on Earth? I take it they're not with him, and it was only Mark that's been sent. And are New Gods really that strong? I always thought that they were significantly weaker than Kryptonian's for the most part. Usually it wouldn't matter, but we already have two super strong Kryptonians, a man in a suit that emulates the powers of a Kryptonian, and a super-strong demon. Seems we're stacked in the department of high level super-strength users.

Ok folks looks like we've settled on Option 3 for starting. Of course it'll take me a little longer to get this show on the road, but if you're patient with me I'll get it started IC-wise asap. Sunday at the very latest.
@Divine Darkness Now I had something for Atlantis somewhere in my notes, but I can't find them now. The jist is that before the Drench - the Atlantean's name for the great tragedy that befell them that ended in the sinking of their homes - there was seven kingdoms of Atlantis. In a last ditch to save their people the Mage-Lords of old used the Zodiac stones, seven crystals of immense mystical power, to cast a great spell to stop the Drench. They succeeded, after a fashion, for instead of stopping the sinking of Atlantis as they intended they instead managed to morph their people in to the aquatic bipeds we now know. One Zodiac stone went to each Kingdom, though three of the cities have since been lost to knowledge.

The Kingdoms that still exist that I can remember off hand are Poseidonis(Aquaman's home), Xebel, Tritonis and Thierna Na Oge.

So yeah, do that with Xebel. They could have got their reputation for being a penal colony because after they lost Poseidonis labeled them as thieves and cowards.
Anyways, I also vote for option 3, though I'm unsure which category I would fall under.

I wasn't actually sure myself. Q fits quite comfortably in either category. Batman would certainly be all for having another detective in the League.
@Polyphemus When all you've got is a hammer, picture everything else as a nail.

When all you've got is your fists, picture everything else as Justin Bieber's smug-shit, over-privileged, face.

So that's my PM's dealt with, giving me time to work on the opening IC post.

So I have a choice for you all. Either your characters have been recruited by the League (automated process put in place to send messages of recruitment to proven heroes and superhumans in the event that the League disappear, put in place by Batman) shortly before the start of the RP and we'll open onto their first meeting as a group, or the first 'arc' is them all coming together to face a threat large enough to unify them then taking it off their own backs to band together as a new League, or my personal favorite, a mix of both. Some characters (The more obvious JL replacements such as Nightwing, Seraph, and Shining Knight) have already banded together as a replacement League, while others (the more off-center picks like Julian Luther, Starling and Miss Appear) are still operating on their own, but all must come together in the face of a cosmic threat that hopes to take advantage of the JL proper's disappearance.

Thoughts, everyone?
@FantasyChic Ok. I suspected that was the case, but just wanted to confirm. Miss Appear is accepted.

@Hillan Before I accept either yourself, @King Kindred, or @GreenGrenade I want to collate all the relevant Superman history and info just to make sure we're all on the same page backstory wise. Once I've done that, shone it to you, and you've confirmed everything is accurate then I can accept you all.

@Lord Wraith Not accepted on the grounds that Dicks first costume doesn't feature green chain mail speedoes. Seriously though, great sheet pal. Especially because I'm fifty percent certain quarter of it came from the time we worked together on a Batman and Nightwing combo. Dick is accepted.

@Konica If you're rusty I certainly can't tell. Great sheet all round, no complaints or questions. Starling is accepted.

Hey @Nightrunner, nice to see you. So a few questions. 1) Why was he swimming in the Gotham bay in the first place. Every time I've ever heard it described it isn't the sort of place you would want to go swimming. There's a bay in my town and I wouldn't go swimming in it, and we don't have half as much dockside related crime or pollutant dumping as Gotham does. 2) Who experimented on his changed physiology? Unless you mean he experimented himself. 3) Why on earth does he consider Canada to be the root of all evil? And 4) Instead of having a grapple, a bull whip and a rod, why doesn't he just carry a rod with some kind of grapple mechanism in it that he can also use to whip folk?

@The Kid Lantern B'wana Beast looking good mate, keeping it close to classic which works for me. I know I wont have to tell you to make sure the animals that he fuses should be location appropriate, so no wild lions showing up in Gotham or such like. Though what happens if one of his chimera's die, do both halves of the fused beast die too?

@FantasyChic Love your characters name and the fact that she's a disappearing girl that wants people to notice her, that's a nice touch. Though I'm not clear on whether her invisibility and force-field generation an aspect of her magic prowess, or are they separate gifts all together.

@DrewVonAwesome Sorry bud, I completely forgot about you. I'm not to clear on Zachary Zatanna's powers from the comics, so could you just clear me up. Is it the same as Zatanna's in that he casts magic by speaking spells backwards? I'm fairly certain that's the case from the image on you're sheet, but I just want to be clear.

On that note if I've somehow managed to miss anyone else please let me know, though I think I should be up to date OOC wise. Now I just need to work through my PM's.
@Lord Wraith You forget who you're dealing with here buddy, I go through those things with a fine tooth comb, regardless of length. The lengthier the better, in fact. I always put the work in. Dick will be reviewed in full, no matter the length of your sheet!

BRING ON YOUR LONG DICK, AND I SHALL WORK IT!

@FantasyChic As a foreseen, @Lord Wraith has already began to usurp my power, part of my nefarious plan to get him to take over GM-ing this mother, though as we're essentially Scottish and Canadian versions of the same person he answered as I would have. You're good to go for invisibility and telekinesis, and it'll add some diversity to the cast. Good choice.

Anyway I'll do a proper review of everyone's sheets later on today. Initial inspections are all good so far though.
Now that's interesting. I have never, ever, in my entire RPing experience, seen someone even mention S.T.R.I.P.E, never mind expressing interest in playing him. That might sway my vote lol.
