Persona: Death Walkers

Okay, Corporal, this post will be a work in progress as I answer everything but I am paranoid that RPG will eat my post if I write all of it up then try and post it :P

Question-Alright, so we know that the players with the potential will (or have) been approached by the remnants of S.E.E.S. to combat the Death Walker Syndrome, but right now Fuuka is beseeching them to fight the monsters, explaining that they have Evokers. So is this their first meeting with S.E.E.S. or their first battle/dream event together?

Answer: This is both. They have not met the S.E.E.S. people before. And as I understand your question this is the first time they'll be doing a dream together too. Random people thrown together for a random cause. Kinda like P3 and the Tartarus. Looking for people who have the potential because Fuuka can peer into the dream world because of what her persona had been. Unfortunately neither Akihiko or Fuuka can enter the dreams themselves not having the right potential to help out in that way. (I was thinking of them more as mentors anyway)

Question-I'm assuming that to the players, this is a normal dream, with Fuuka trying to shake them out of it... but do dream rules still apply to a degree, or are they still mortals in the dream? I'm not talking about flying around with laser eyes playing an awesome guitar riff because the can, but do they appear in what they were wearing when the fell asleep a la Freddy Krueger with similar equipment, or will they appear as they see themselves day to day? Like how someone who falls asleep in pajamas but normally wears fancy suit and tie would experience their dream in a fancy suit and tie? And what of weapons? Will they have them just because they dream that they need them or is it like the Freddy Krueger thing again and they need to enter the dream with them?

Answer You appear as you would day to day. So Izzy usually wears jeans, tank top and hoodie. So she would appear in the dream like that and yes they are all mortals and can die in the dream and can get hurt. As for weapons, you get nothing for this dream but as your character's realize they need it they can start dreaming with the right equipment. The evokers are essential so they have to be there. But after this dream and your character's are aware of it. You will start dreaming with the weapons of your choice.

Question-Was everyone on their own program prior to the dream, or was this a part of a plan? Like the first question, did they all meet up and are asleep in one spot or get physically transported into the dream or are they asleep in their beds? Which ties into my next question...

Answer They were all at home in their beds. Thinking this was any normal night before being whisked away to Wonderland :P

Question -This is more for all the players to hash out, but who knows who? Did they already have their "I Fight Nightmares" T-shirts made, or will they be somewhat surprised to see the others (barring that this is a dream)? Without a prior meeting (and the part more for the players), do they already all know each other, either closely, as acquaintances, or just someone they might know the name of or recognize?

Answer As far as I'm aware the only connection people have is the college. Beyond that, player's can decide who might know who if they want. You will not have formed a version of S.E.E.S. yet if that is what you are getting at! You have not actually met Fuuka or Akihiko but I have a plan to bring you all together after the dream is over.

Question -So this is Izzy's dungeon, but is she in the group with the others? Will one fight their own Nightmare or does having the Nightmare disqualify you for the participation award?

Answer Izzy will not be with you, as will anyone in the dungeon of their own shadow. They will be with the final shadow attempting to maybe confronting or maybe hiding from it. Which everyone will see when they get to the end of the dungeon. Which is why I'm thinking of having you player's describe your own dungeons because A) you guys made them up and know them way better than me. And B ) Your character is going to be stuck with their shadow at the end and not really participating. So this would give you stuff to do while the other's make their way through. Still trying to figure out how to make this work, but it's an idea I had.

Question -With the Personae evolution, will the progression be sudden or steady? Take Izzy, for example, we're doing her dungeon. Nightmare down, dream resolved, she'll get the Mad Hatter from Alice pretty soon. But does she have this obscene jump from Garu to Wind Amp Garudyne, or will her abilities naturally progress as she fights more Shadows, much like how in P3 your party members would learn ever advancing skills with the same Persona and the second tier would unlock more?

Answer Progression will be steady, and you wont get your second persona right after your dungeon. You will have the abillity open to you but I have some requirements per each character you will have to do in order to unlock your second tier persona. I am not sure on everyone's just yet, but I have to see them played to see what kind of interactions they will probably want to have to grow as a character. Kinda like in P4 the social link would rank up, and a small change would start in the person? Does that make sense?

Question -Will the players feel compelled to shoot themselves in the face with the Evokers or will they need to figure that part out themselves? Or will Fuuka tell them they should?

Answer If you feel like your character is compelled to do so that is the right way to play it. But Fuuka will tell you part of it. I'm actually going to make it so you only have to shoot the evoker, could be on your arm, leg, shoulder, head, that way you are at least a little different from P3 :P And I think that Persona's are part of your soul anyway, which isn't just locked up in your head, but in your entire body. At least that's what I think.

Question-Do I really want fries with that shake?

Answer No, you want a burger, fries and a shake. Make it two chocolate and I'll be happy to share :D

Angel No worries. Just had to give me some time to think up some of the answers. I am running with a rough outline that could benefit with poking through it to help strengthen it. :D

Persona: Death Walkers

Night falls over the quaint city of Akane, Japan.The city was nestled into the mountains. Rivers, cherry blossom trees, everything like stereotypical Japan. The college was the main attraction for the city other than the giant cherry blossom grove that people came from miles around to come and visit. Absolutely gorgeous in the spring time, with the blossoms in bloom and the petals raining down on the paths; clogging the river with the pink petals.

As the sun sets, the moon rises and the citizens of Akane start to fall asleep one by one. Several special people as they slip away into dreams, will all find themselves in the same dream. Lying on the same soft green grass, the warm breeze coming over them gently. The grass was tall and moved in the breeze, rippling against the breeze. A sun loomed over them, making the air pleasantly warm. Everything about it started to lull them to be lazy in the grass. The scent of flowers floated through the air. A melody danced through the air, a soft serene lullaby lulling them further into a daze.

They lay in the grass for several long minutes, the clearing was perfect, calm, serene. A hedge maze grew on their right, the melody's floating from there. They all laid under the tree. But only a few moments passed before a woman's voice broke into their minds. "Wake up!-- Wake up! Or you will stay this way forever!"

The voice was frantic, shouting in fear, trying to stir them away. "Get up! They are coming!" She shouted, "In your hands there should be something that looks like a gun! Use it to fight them! Now! You have the potential! You need to use it to cast them away!"

Out of the gap in the hedge maze came tall willowy monsters, paper thin. Writing scribbled all over their skin. Their bodies folded like origami, but moving and growling like the monster's they represented. They stalked towards the group, lowering themselves to the ground watching them.

Almost done with the post. You guys should know you will be using evokers until you get through your dungeon. Then you switch to cards. Kk :D

Hey guys, check the top post, it will have links to everyone's CS's and how many I've gone through and approved so far. After I am finished approving them I'll have another list in the first post of dungeon order for the character dungeons. Then we might finally be able to start. Sorry this has taken so long. Hot weather + my computer = rocketing to the moon if I use it lol.

Lucius and RPGgamer have not sent me anything about their shadow's yet. I think they are the only ones. Trying to compare the list to my Pm's. I will try to open up a character sheet list in the next few days. And will start putting APPROVED over them as I put them on the list if they are good and don't need anything else as far as I can tell.
