I'm working on a CS, are the ship classes similar to their counterparts in the late 1700's other than the airlift balloons? If so will it have identical armaments? same number of cannon and crewmen etc
Yes. There are frigate, carrier, Pondaloon, cruisers, all the basic classes have an airship counterpart. A good game with ship classes and statistics is Sid Meyer's Pirates.

Hello. I posted a thread called "Airborn; A Swashbuckling Airship Adventure (Mature)" I put the word mature into the RP title because it takes place back in the 1600's and I fully expect immersion to include violence and possibly offensive dialogue. I said as much in the description and also told players that they had to do any ERP interactions completely within PM's if any occurred. i was rather frustrated to see the post removed and marked "forbidden" as to my understanding it did not violate any of the agreements I have made as a user on the site. If the post does violate said agreements, I would like to be made aware of exactly how it does, and what I can do to fix it, as this post was generating interest and I have an OOC up and running already. I am not concerned with the choice to remove it, as it is either a mistake on your or my part, I just would like to know which so I can fix it before any more threads involved are removed. Thank you very much for your time. Also, I would like to add that some kind of message regarding why the post was removed in specifics would be a terrific addition to the site, if you get the chance. It may be a low priority addition if anything, but it is those little things that make a forum perfect. Again, thank you for your time, have a wonderful day.

What specific nations are involved in this role-play? What organizations? I assume that Spain would be involved considering it's been mentioned.
Please check out the OOC for more information, details, and character discussion and skeletons.
Should have my character ready later today, once I'm done with this week's classes. Considering where the story is going to start off, I'd be fine with my character being a traveler. Don't think he could take the stress of being a fated hero very well, anyways. Though if we are doing it like this... Helix, mind shooting me a PM when you can? Might have an idea that could tie both characters together and make things a bit easier to work with, considering the character's origins.
I know what you're thinking, and I like the direction. I was going to suggest that myself.
Can I post my character sheet in the characters tab? ^^
Do you have anything specific you want to see in a CS?
Is it ok to start posting CS?
I'm so sorry that I forgot to put up a skeleton! Yes you may start posting to characters. Keep in mind the bold print in the original post when choosing your rank. Also There will be maximum of six captains. Up to Four Pirate vessels. Up to Two Merchant Vessels. And up to Two Navy Vessels. No one may hold a fleet at the beginning of the game but that may be a goal you aspire to within reason. Rank is done on a first come first serve basis. The first six to choose the ranks of Captain, First Mate, and Bosun/Quartermaster will receive it. Please remember that all ranks are subject to change by the whim of the captain. But also remember that a captain may be Mutineed against should the crew vote in favor. Further rules will be forthcoming. Here be yer shipping contract application. Name:[Yer John Hancock here] Age:[When did yer scurvy mother squeeze ye between her thighs?] Height:[How high be yer topmast?] Build:[Be yeh a beanpole, a Man o' Muscles, or a Big Barrel Belly?] Hair:[How do yeh shag yer crops?] Facial Hair:[Of course yeh have a long flowing beard which ye styled exactly like mine out of flattery!] Eyes:[What color be yer peepers? And do ye still have both of em?] Apparel:[What be the cloth on yer back?] Gear:[What be yer tools of the trade?] Weapons:[How do ye send a man up to Davey Jones Balloon?] Rank:[What be yer job?] Ship:[If ye are not a captain, but ye would like to be aboard a specific ship, say so, and we'll see how well we can accommodate ye] Ship Description and class:[Only fill out if the vessel be yers] Faction:[Be ye Navy? Pirate? or Merchant?] Background:[What tales follow ye? Are ye a legend? Or a low-birthed runaway? Is this yer first time A'soar?]
That is what I thought would be best as well. if anything, one of them could take the missing snake sage slot, but I had been planning on giving that to zelda. But considering the desired origin of the two characters, I would feel making them apart of the sages party rather than actual sages would be more canonically correct.
Simply put, all known nations other than those recently introduced to the world such as germany and russia, are potential Navy holders. This however is only applicable if you decide to become a captain. As a crew member, you would be assigned based on which of the three factions you chose to a captain. The three crew factions are pirate, merchant, and navy. Navy and merchant would have a specific national alignment while pirate, being what it is, would not.
