I think we would be allowed to take NPC positions since it's a town. not like 8 ranchers.Meaning if a guy was a scientist Daryl would be removed.... though I love Daryl.
Nope, none of the NPC's will be removed. However, that doesn't mean you can't have the same position as a NPC. For example, if you wanted to be a scientist, you could study with Daryl as his assistant or something, or even start your own small business. Of course, you wouldn't come to the town and already have a whole business started. You would have to start from the bottom and work your way up, which could lead to a whole bunch of adventures and stories to play around with.

I'm deciding between playing a doctor, or a miner. Of course, if the important jobs are all taken by NPC's, I'll go with miner, since as far as I remember in Back to Nature, the Player Character does the farming and mining. I'm sure I'll be living in mineral Town since I know all the NPC's there really well.
Nice, have you considered a love interest yet? If you decide to go with playing a miner, maybe Keira (the princess that lives on the 255th floor of the Forget-Me-Not Valley's mine) would be a good choice for you. As for being a doctor, do you think you'd study with Dr. Hardy or Dr. Trent? We could even have the Doctor's Office where Dr. Trent works (in Mineral Town) expand a bit so multiple doctors and nurses can work there. So many options, haha.
Also, I just wanna throw out to anyone, if there is a bachelor/bachelorette that you're
really interested in pursuing and they're not from Mineral Town or Forget-me-not Valley, let me know! I can possibly work them into the RP. I'm considering having "visitors" who come to the towns and stay in the Inns.
I'm working on typing all of the info right now. :) There's a lot of details, so it might take a little while.
