@MorRioghain Thank you !

Does that mean you want to do this? 😁
@Lyla NICE! Absolutely nice! I was craving for an idea just like this for some days now.

I totally wanna be a part of this. If you'll have me :)

A few questions if I may :

1. Does magic exist? As in the form of wizards, priests etc?

2. I guess we will be taking about medieval tech level, right?

3. Do our character get reborn in their original bodies or other bodies?

4. Do they retain the skills they had, prior to their death?
@Mister Thirteen Folklore on dragons is highly divided. Most fairy tales that involve dragons, believe them to be one with the elements. In the same tales, dragons are believe to be able to communicate by thoughts rather than words. While other tales, depict them to be bloody creatures with a blood lust that is only matched by their desire for wealth.
So, it all depends on what of these stories you want to believe in.
We could do something else. A different view. I've seen a similar idea somewhere but this one will be a little different.

What if we say that all baby dragons are humanoid in nature (think Lizard man) and when they come of age (the first arc), they are imbued with the magic to turn into full dragons. How would that sound to you?

@Mister Thirteen

Common folk lore state that the dragons are one with the elements. So, that would be : Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Gold dragon (light) and Black dragons (darkness). Of course, you don't need to follow the common folk lore. I believe that going for 6 types of dragons would give Rpers more choices and not limit their options.

I am on board with the Orc war arc. Maybe after the war, humans or some other humanoid species arrives in Eldenir and they are thought to be orcs when they only wish to...idk study the dragons etc. But let's deal with the first arc before talking in detail about other arcs.

Magic maybe could be specific to their "element" if we do the element type dragon spin. A water dragon that could cast fire magic would not make much sense, right?

I would be honored to help you with this RP as it's CO-GM :)
@TheUnknowable

A quick thing I wrote during my way home. How it is?
I like the sound of it.

Let me answer with my opinion on the issues :

1. I would say at first to be someone kind of coming of age quest. Our dragons to have some kind of quest to complete before they can be called "true dragons".

2. Yes. A war between any humanoid species and dragons.

3. I would say yes. Dragons were "known" to be masters of magic but only the old ones. Maybe our dragons could learn magic over the course of the RP.

4. No. Dragons should be different in power. Let's say a fire dragon could be stronger in terms of physical strength than a water dragon while the water dragon would be faster and so on. Different castes should be a thing.

5. I would say both. Like the Germanic tribes. They had clans and they had full autonomy over their clan but when there was a threat or something that would affect all clans, the clan leaders would meet up. Also, a leader was chosen (usually through battle) of all the clans (also happened in Britania, Arthur's time).

If you need help or something. I'm here ! I am not new even if this account is :)
Looks nice. I'm in. I think I'll go with something ghost oriented. Poison ghost? I need to brush up my Pokemon knowledge.
Once upon a time the kingdom of Avalor was the richest, most populated and with the happiest citizens in the known world.
That ended 8 years ago when from over the uncharted territory of the Endless sea, a man came on an expedition ship that saved him from drowning. No ship was supposed to resist the strong currents of the sea but there he was, stranded on a loose plank.
Unable to talk over the long journey back to Avalor due to what seemed to be sea sickness, combined with something else, the sailors couldn't interrogate the man.
Who would know that the man, later known as Ashtok, would bring the downfall of Avalor and the surrounding lands.
When the ship approached the docks of Valan, capital of Avalor, Ashtok rose from his bed with full black eye and an evil grin on his face.
The first sailor that approached him died before he could even realize that it happened. All his life force sucked from him and went to Ashtok. By the time the ship was docked, all the sailors were killed and their bodies rose from the dead.

What came next were 2 years of pain and suffering as all those that opposed Ashtok's reign were killed and brought back to life as puppets. Only those that surrendered and swore allegiance survived.
The undead armies of Ashtok couldn't be killed by normal weapons and the fabled mages of Avalor that were supposed to be unbeatable and see the future as it was nothing, perished in the first month of the war. Why couldn't they predict the kingdom's downfall is a fact yet unknown.

5 years ago, two persons that held great power due to the necromancer's bestowed favor, were found guily of treason against Ashtok and swiftly killed.
Showing yet again that Asktok's justice was swift and absolute. No one was above the laws created by him, not even his most favored.
Both bodies were burned, so that their souls be trapped on this plane of existence. Not alive but not dead either.

Now, 5 years later after their death, their souls are called upon. Sucked back into this world, different but in a way the same.
Only one type of magic could bring back a departed soul, as not even necromancy could bring back a soul in another body.
Occultism. Only a mage as dark as Ashtok could call upon demons to do his will.

Role play Name : The Kingdom of Avalor
Theme: Medieval Fantasy, +18 (blood, death, undead, nothing sexual in nature(fade to black)

Hello dear reader !
Our characters will be longish dead persons of power (think merchant, guard captain, noble etc) from the old kingdom that swore alliegence to Ashtok when the war started. A few years later, they are accused of treason and killed. If your character was a traitor or not, it is your choice. Maybe he was a rebel in disguise or maybe he was set up by a rival.

When they will be resurrected, they will not be alone. A demon will "ride" their soul. There will be 2 souls in a single body. The human soul will be the host (the body) and the demon will be there with him, bringing something of his demon-self with him. That could be a transformation of some kind that is permanent (claws, wings, etc. Only one.) that is visible to all (aka cannot hide in plain sight) or speed, strength etc. No magic tho'.
If your demon will take active control or not depends on 2 things.

1. Your choice (ofc). Maybe your demon is so powerful that the human soul is only an observer and you will have to excert willpower to keep him in control (leaving your body weakened)

2. Food. Demons feed with souls. So when, they possess a human body they still need to eat. They do so by drinking the blood of their enemies. Think vampire but instead of blood, they feed with souls. If, by any chance, your character is damaged in a fight or doesn't feed for some time, it will go in a bloodlust mode and will not be able to control himself.

I expect a casual / high casual quality level of writing.

Some, other information :

Tech level, what should you expect etc?

Let me give you some more information :

- Access in and out of Valan (the capital) was restricted to the living. Only by direct command of Ashtok could a living person get in or out.

- Our characters haven't seen how the world looks outside the walls of Valan since, well, they got "trapped" in the city. So, they won't know how the world changed in the years prior to their death and the time they died.

- There will be 3 types of undead rose by Ashtok :

1. Zombies (Directly controlled by Ashtok's will), they don't have a mind of their own.

2. Ghouls (all ghouls are linked with each other (what one sees, the others do to)), they are stronger and faster than humans and again are linked to Ashtok but they can think for themselves. Zombies can only be trained to do something and they do it but that's how far their intelligence goes.

3. Living Dead - These are people that have died and were risen back to life by Ashtok or another one of his disciples. They retain all their knowledge of their past life, they are stronger than normal humans but still weaker than a Ghoul. They have their own mind but they can be controlled by their creator (necromancer) at will if they so wish it.

A small, let's say rule for Necromancers : each creature they resurrect eats away at he's power, meaning that if the Necromancer dies, all his creations die with him. Basically, if Ashtok dies, all his creatures will die with him. Of course, Ashtok has an army of Ghouls under his direct command (Risen from the dead by him).
This is just a head-up if you would like to call it like that to understand what we are dealing with.

Asktok's powers are vast. He controls more than 500000 zombies, ghouls and living dead at the same time, has a draining life force aura (that won't affect our characters, due to our demonic side but still) and if that isn't enough, he is an expert mage. So, it will be hard to kill him.

I will format the OP as soon as I get home as from the phone looks ok.
