"Sanctuary. Safety. Hope.

Well over a decade ago, I did not believe in such things, and the words themselves were on the fringe of personal heresy for me.

The idea that in this hell washed world of monsters and men that a sanctuary of rebirth and second opportunity for mankind could be forged and maintained was, well, to me, utter stupidity birthed by naivety.

The days of civilization and unity amongst humanity were long over and in most parts of this world such ideas were discarded and forgotten. Believed to be naught but the hopeful yet pointless ravings and dreams of scientists and women.

I shared this same attitude and mindset.

But, early in the year of 2018, I was proven to be totally wrong, as was the rest of mankind, I however was one of the few who was able to witness this mistake in judgment and opinion.

After five years of uncertainty and fear, being forced to travel far and wide by foot with only myself to protect me against the endless dangers of this world, after five years of scavenging and hunting just to keep myself alive and able, I had finally found a new home.

A home for myself, and dozens and dozens of others.

We call it New Haven.



Within the last fifteen years, we have built this former state park into a fully functioning, totally secure, and welcoming sanctuary for all whom seek to escape the hell that is the world and live in peace and unity with their fellow humans.

We have learned to live off the land and it's bounty.
We sustain ourselves and the community by hunting game, scavenging the surrounding woods for fruits and nuts, and raising livestock and gardens.

Our children sleep safely at night, and our men and women have no fears nor worries.

But make no mistake; we are not weak.
Nor are we unprepared.

Every man is armed as well as many women, and we are all more than capable and willing to hold our own in a fight.

For in this world, even in the greenest of gardens and the bluest of skies, one will never know when the dangers and horror of the outside world will turn it's ugly head in their direction.

And that is something we will be ready for, though we pray to whatever higher being there be that this will never happen.

The Last Of Us~Original 1x1 RP (18+ Male or Female Partner Needed)

Hello there...



I am up and running for an RP set in the universe of The Last of Us.
This RP, though set in the TLOU universe, will be otherwise totally original when it comes to it's storyline, characters, settings, and etcetera.

Main characters, groups, and settings and locales will be only mentioned and referenced, for the most part anyway.

The initial storyline will begin in the late winter of 2031, roughly around the months of January or February.
This of course is right before the final chapter in the actual game, when Joel and Ellie arrive in Salt Lake City in the early spring.

I have two separate skeletal story lines that I've came up with that my partner and I, whomever it may be, can then build on and develop together.

•Story Line 1

Hider

A small settlement of survivors, much like the ones lead by Joel's brother Tommy, is overrun by a hoard of infected, predominantly Runners.
The settlement falls and the remaining few survivors are scattered into the countryside.
They futilely search for one another while journeying to find a new home in this hellish world.

•Story Line 2

Hider

A smuggler is hired too help smuggle either a relative or a very close friend(we can work on that) of a high ranking Fire Fly out of a Quarantine Zone and across the country to the Fire Flies base in Salt Lake City.

However, I am willing and open to any suggestions you may have for a different plot.
In fact, I encourage you to make suggestions and-or constructive criticisms.
The two ideas above are just results of short brain storms.
I am up for any other ideas to be offered.

I also have a list of locations that we can choose from, this is the home or primary setting of the RP's beginning.

Personality: Boisterous and lively, but also reserved and careful during conversation, loves the fast life and being rich, can be down casting towards the impoverished, a party goer.

Backstory

Charles Cusimano grew up in the Bronx to a Latino father and a Caucasian mother.
Even though he was an only child, his family was still poor and struggled through hardship at times.
His father was a garbage man and his mother was a waitress at a local Denny's.
Growing up in a shoddy apartment and watching his parents struggle was a lifelong motivator for Charles to make something of himself.
Even in grade school he pushed himself to achieve only the best grades and perform the best on the schools' sports teams.
All through junior high and high school he was reverted by his teachers and coaches alike for his fine performances in the classroom and on the football field.
His senior year of high school he finished with a 4.0 and a scholarship offer to play football at St.John's in New York.
In the end, he turned this down and went to law school at Harvard and graduated at the top of his class.
To this day he is reaping the benefits of his smart decisions, settling for only the best of everything.
His parents live in Battery Park now on Manhattan, just a few neighborhoods away from Charles.

With the finest house, the best clothes, and the nicest car, many would believe Charles to be a man who has everything.

Charles however doesn't agree.
The one thing he definitely doesn't haves, and has never had, pains him more than the many other things he doesn't have.

That would be true love.

The man has never had a steady relationship, or a girlfriend even.Only one night stands he has had with club skags and college party girls.
Cheap sex followed by never seeing one another again.

This pains him to the core.
He has never felt love for anyone aside from his parents, his family.
He wants to love, he wants to love deeply.
And not being able to stir feelings within himself is killing him internally.
He hates that he is hollow and has an empty heart, and he wants desperately to change it, no matter what.

Likes: His job, Basketball, Football, Boxing, Italian Food, Chinese Food, Night Clubs, Money, Wines and Champagne, Sports cars, Romance movies and novels

Dislikes: Boring women, his rivals in the Law business/rival lawyers, lower class people/the impoverished, baseball, festivities, carnivals, and parades.
