@Zanavy Just want to confirm something quickly - using Justine as a broad example (although we don't need any spoilers), is it reasonable to assume that a normal human taking a Selfdestruct to the face would be potentially lethal under normal circumstances? It's relevant to Seras being attacked while surrounded by her cosplayers and I wanted to be 100% sure before rubber-stamping my post - I assumed that metal-warping is pretty lethal without intervention :P

@Thundercrash The original premise of Seras was 'What sort of person really needs this opportunity?" She very much won the lottery through becoming an avatar, which has led to the far more confident and much more proactive woman that we've come to know and love :P

Seras would probably have suffered through things for a few more years before walking out in the middle of the night - she wouldn't have had diamonds for income or any form of financial support from family (as I can only assume all those 12 year old trainers do), but she'd probably have stolen enough money from her family out of desperation to last until she'd found a new job. I expect that she would have settled down wherever there was decent pay, working hard and saving towards that dream of one day traveling the world.
For the record, Seras will mostly be taking a defensive role in any upcoming fights - she seems like the person to protect the civilians and use non-lethal KOs (where possible) rather than railgun people with the intent to kill. And that's going to show when one of the self-destructing Pokemon goes straight for Charity and the cosplayers around her.

That's actually a pretty good question that I should have asked earlier - how widespread is the Power Plague at the moment, two years down the line from Mew dying?
