Miki was created for one purpose only: to do as she was told.
She was created in a lab far under the city of Kazamakuri, a city full of scientists and researchers. It took them thirty years to completely build her, and another fifty to program her brain. After seventy years, they had finally built the first Android with the ability to think on it's own.
Soon, they had Miki running around the world, Assassinating people who opposed the organization. Soon, Tamasae Industries was at the top of the world. They ran everything behind the scenes, and soon their good intentions became corrupt. Instead of fixing world hunger, or poverty, the company grew greedy, and hoarded their money. Rain had a good life. He had nice friends, good parents( if a bit absent minded) even a guy he may have started to date eventually. However, that all ended one snowy day. Rain and his friends were heading home from their annual ski trip. The inside of the car was pure chaos with music going, and endless teen chatter. So, they crashed. Rain felt weightless for a moment, then pain blossomed everywhere in his body as the car flipped over again and again. By the time the car finally stopped moving, he was unconscious and two of the five people in the car were dead. Rain went into a coma, and didn't wake up for two months.
By the time his coma ended, his perception of the world had been warped considerably. The walls were masses of rotten flesh, his blankets were woven together tentacles, and everything was warped into some hellish version of itself.The smell of it all.Oh the smell made him throw up several times before he learned to block it out but that wasn't the worst part. The most horrible part was that the people themselves were grotesque monsters that spoke in grinding noises that hurt his ears. He at first thought he was hallucinating, and that it would go away after a while. Rain couldn't have been more wrong. It would never go away. He recognized the fact that this was the same world she was used to at first but as the months passed she began thinking that those people were real monsters, and that he had to keep pretending otherwise she would be eaten by them.
So, he distanced herself from others. Rain became cold, and pushed away anyone who tried to talk to him. He became depressed, and paranoid. She also took to cutting her arms when it became too much, when she started doubting that she was human. It made her relax, seeing red blood instead of the yellow pus those thing bleed.

A long time ago, there were two separate Kingdoms, who were constantly at war. On one side, there were the Avians, and on the other were the Serpentine.
Avians were trained from birth that showing any emotion was unbecoming, and as soon as they were born they were promised to another for life. They were excellent story tellers, and were very good with their hands.
The Serpentine are the exact opposite. Dark haired where the avians are light, Jewel-toned eyes where the avians had brown, honey and hazel colored ones. They love expressing themselves, and considered it rude if someone hid their emotions from another. They excel in dance, and singing
Now, theres two things each culture had in common:
One: they were taught to hate the other from birth.
Two:They can shape shift into an animal.
The Serpentine can shapeshift into snakes, with the royal family being of Cobra blood.
The Avians can shape shift into birds, with the royal family being of Hawk blood.
Each culture has different myths about how they came into being.
The Avians say they were created when a child names Alasdair was taken in by the hawks after her village was destroyed, and they taught her how to change her form. Not many Avians believe in this myth.
The Serpentine and falcons have a much larger history. There was once a cult called the Dasi. There were two sects in the cult:
The followers of Ahamirk, the goddess of passion and flame, and of all of Life.
Then, there were the followers of Anahimrak, the god of death and stillness, and freedom from all pain. Many of his followers fell into Ecl, the void, and their minds never returned.
The priestesses of the godess were Kiesha, and Maeve. A man named Lebon approached Maeve, and told her he was a god, and she should bow to him. She knew he was no god, but she did know he had power. So, she seduced him, and convinced him to give every one of the 13 members of the Dasi a second form. The followers of Anahimrak were givien falcon forms, and the followers of Ahamirk were given serpent forms.
Keisha and the rest of the Dasi threw out the white pythons,(Maeves coven) for practicing black magic, and for the crime of seducing Leben. Soon, the world was thrown into chaos.
Without the Pythons to balance out the remaining members of the Dasi, Ahamirks and Anahimrak magic ran wild. There were floods when they tried to call forth rain, fires started when they dance, and the visions of the future tore their minds apart. Anahimraks followers began to fall in Ecl one by one, and they too began to lose control of their potent magics. Many were killed by accident in this turbulent time.
Only the Falcons remember the following events:
Keisha and the leader of the falcons, Syfka , conspired together to fix this imbalance. They eventually decided the best thing to do would be to rip Ahamirks magic in half, and put it inside of a child. This child was Alasdair, the first of the Avians. She was molded to be the opposite of the Serpentine, so the two races would never combine, and unleash the unbalanced powers of Ahamirk on the world again. The two got along for years, until Alasdair was 16 and the Tuli Thea(Ruler) of the Avians. Then, the stories are mixed.
Avian lore says the war was started when Keisha was stabbed in the back by Alasdair, when she was visiting the young Queen at her Palace in the center of Serpentine Lands.
Serpentine history says Alasdair stabbed Keisha in her bed, when she was at Hawks Keep on a diplomatic mission.
The Falcons know what really happened, but they keep it secret from the two in fear of what a child of both races would do to the world.
The Falcons sent in an agent once they noticed that the kingdoms were getting too friendly. One of the Agents shape changed into Keisha, and one into Alasdair. Then, they both acted, starting a war that has lasted centuries, which was exactly what they wanted.

Bascially, at some point I would like a truce to come up in the story but as of right now the war can continue. If you have any ideas, just let me know ^^
Now, for the races and various abilities they have..
Avians:
Can shape-shift into larger versions of birds.( Hawks,(royal family only) sparrows, ravens, crow so on and so forth..)
Light-color hair and Earth-toned eyes. (royal family has golden eyes); also have feathers on the nape of their neck.
Powers:Demi form(wings on back, still human features) full bird form, fast healing, very high hearbeat, and temprature(like a birds) can live indefinitely, as long as they aren't killed by unnatural means, and very high immune systems.
Must follow the culture of the Avians, ( emotions are unacceptable; no dancing ) unless you specify they were not raised that way, and you must give a reason for this.. Not everyone can do this however.
Serpentine:
Dark hair, Jewel-toned eyes(royal family has red eyes and black hair)
Are EXTREAMLY expressive in their emotions, and there is generally more freedom in their society than the avian society.
Can shape-shift into larger versions of snakes,(Cobra((royal family)) Python((white pythons are banished from serpentine and avian lands, but they still have their magic unlike the Cobras.)) Mambas, etc..)
Demi form: Snake skin covers body; fangs. Full snake form; Can sense emotions(avains are a blank spot which is the cause of many rumors that they don't have souls) Infrared sight; Venom that'll kill an Avain(fast heart rate) in thirty seconds, can live indefinitely, heals fast, strong immune system.
Falcon:
Jewel or earth toned eyes; blue or violet streaks in light or dark hair((if not in another form)). Also, have feathers on the nape of their neck like Avians.

Now, the falcon society is much more strict than the Avians or the Serpentine.
Lets start with the government. Like the Avians and the Serpentine it is an absolute Monarchy. Syfka rules with an iron fist, and any thing bad said against her or her government is considered treason.
At the top:
Cjarsa Syfka, Aracelli, and Damien. They make up the ruling class, and they are 3 of the original 13 members of the Dasi. They consider anything said against them as treason, and they are constantly plotting against each other. Aracelli is the heir to the throne, since Anahimraks magic makes the falcons infertile and children are almost never born.
Next, Empress Syfkas Mercy and the Ecl'Va'Shana'( riders of Ecl; those who ride Ecl, and have the extra powers that skill give them)
There are 12 women, bound together by magic. They deliver the punishments on crimnals, which is almost always torture until death. They are second only to the royal family, and if one disobeys, her partner has to punish her.
Then, the Choirs:
Pink, Red, Purple, Violet, Blue and Indigo, least to most prestige. These falcons dance as they weave magic, telling stories in the magic they draw through the air. The Indigo Choir is powerful enough to move the Royal family to tears. There is a lot of plotting here as well, since spaces on the Indigo and Blue choirs are coveted. It takes decades to acquire the skill it takes to join the upper ranks of the choir.
Normal Falcons:
These are the normal denizens of the White City, who are subjected to the whims of the Empress and her Mercy. This class can still use Magic.
Pure Diamond:
Magic is sealed, and they are magically compelled to do exactly what the Empress and her Mercy say. They are not allowed to wear their Demi-form within the city.
Ecl'la'Fae( Those who drowned in Ecl):
People who lost themselves in Ecl whether they were searching for more power than they had, or they were just tired of life. Ecl will constantly be calling a Falcon to it, unless said Falcon is an Ecl rider.. They shall forever remain in the Hall of Ecl, next to the Empresses Palace and surround by the Towers of the Mercy.
Mongrels:
Falcon/Avian or Falcon/Cobra(magic destroys the child and mother on this combination), or Falcon/Pure Diamond. Falcons are obsessed with purity, and Mongrels are ' exterminated' on sight.
The Falcons live on an Island named after their God, and they love the solitude. The Falcons feel that they are better than any other race, and that no outsider shall ever set foot in their White, singing( the streets literally sing). Everyone is trying to outmaneuver the other, and everyone is trying to become Syfka or Aracellis favorite. Back stabs from ones you call friend are to be expected( unless you're in the Mercy.) and you do everything you have to do to get ahead, and whatever your empress tells you. They speak the old language of the Dasi there, and they always where their demi form, unlike the Serpentine and the Avians.
