Personality Description

Blunt but not unkind, years of military service has left her with little use for talking around issues; when you’re on the clock (and especially on deployment), it’s better to deal with whatever it is head on so everyone can get back to the task at hand.

This has lead more than one person to assume she’s more of an asshole than she really is, but she see that as more their problem than hers. At her core she wants to help others, both because that was how she was raised, and what she feels the military expects out of all of it’s members.

Bio

Growing up in a gear-head family, Eliza joined the Army just out of high school figuring it would be an cheaper way to get some heavy mechanic training that she could turn into a job in the ‘real world’. It turned out she quite liked the Army and much to even her own surprise, she instead decided to go career. Since then, she’s deployed twice to Afghanistan, once to Africa and once to Eastern Europe.

During all of that she, thought, she’d managed to build a nice little life for herself, find someone she could see herself settling down with, and once she’d retires going and getting back into auto racing with her family, but that was all long term thinking; in the short term, she had some leave banked and had booked a few weeks in Banoi with her partner for a nice relaxing tropical vacation…only to discover her partner had been cheating on her for the past few years.

Needless to say that relationship came to a screaming halt, but the vacation was still booked and leave still approved, so she got a refund on the second plane ticket and decided to go anyways…which may not have been the best idea after all.

• Mechanic - She grew up wrenching on cars, go-karts and bikes before joining the Army and getting taught to wrench on transport trucks and armoured vehicles.
• Improvisation - Money was always tight at home, and that was no different in the Forces, so she learned early to work with what was on hand.
• Leadership - As a Master Corporal she leads a small repair detail.
• Firearms Training - Nothing too extensive beyond what she got in Basic Training, with a couple of 'refresher courses before she deployed to the missions in Afghanistan and Africa.

After The End

She woke to ash and dust, knowing little more than her name. Nezumes sat on the crumbling remains of a wall and surveyed the dead world around her. Behind her, a black sun over two peaks that unsettled her to no end, before her a seemingly endless desert, to her left a sea so still it was almost as unnerving as the sun and to her right the shattered remains of a city. She wasn’t sure how long she sat there, time seemed of little relevance.

Eventually she chuckled softly to herself and clapped her palms against the threadbare trousers she’s woken in. ”Sitting her isn’t going to achieve much.” She muttered to herself as she stood. Stretching to her full nine feet, she raised her arms over her head and arched backwards. Feeling slightly better, she looked about her immediate surroundings once more, and not seeing anything of interest, she gave a small shrug and began heading towards the ruins.
