Varius was arriving a little later than he had hoped, but he had gotten side tracked by a couple humans from their city's library cornering him and asking him about medical advice. Besides being incredibly amusing that his interest in the extent made him more of an expert in human medicines than most humans, he simply could not turn down an opportunity to show off his superior knowledge. Plus he had learned some rather concerning news about a rather nasty disease affecting human's to the south that was spreading. He was thinking of asking a dragon with healing magic about it, as it would probably be disastrous if it somehow spread to dragonkind.

Of course, there was a festival going on, and as his brilliantly groomed form landed at the festival grounds, obviously turning the heads of many he was quick to grow distracted by the various things in the festival. The questions could wait till later. He hadn't actually planned on participating in the ceremony anymore since he had reached adult status, one he was perfectly fine with staying at, but it was a great place to show off and it was also rather nice to be in the company of dragons.

He moved in a way where his feet never actually touched the filthy, dusty ground, preferring to keep himself as clean as possible, thought he had already resigned to the fact that some careful bathing would be required later. For now though, he'd head toward the commotion that seemed to be coming from a shop of crystals, only to find a human in the midst of this. "Well this is the last place I'd expect to see a human." he stated, "You are aware they aren't allowed here? Maybe you shouldn't be making such a commotion." he asked, not really sounding like he cared all too much about that last statement.

Age from hatching: 240

Gender: Male

Magic: Growth/Life - Magic focuses around nature and life, such as rapidly growing and twisting vines and roots, enhancing the size of various organic things, plants of course being the simplest to manipulate. If he's not watching himself too closely, his magic has a passive effect on surrounding plants causing them to immediately bloom. His weapon of choice are spores and seeds of various poisonous plants that are quick to grow on his victims and incapacitate them.

Poison plant life: Summons up a cloud of spore/seeds that take root in his opponent and quickly grow into poisonous mushrooms, mosses, and weeds that sap strength rather rapidly.

Magic mushrooms: Similar to poison plants, except these ones are drugs meant to cause hallucination and general stupidity.

Wall of roots: A medium strength wall that can absorb most attacks
Wall of thorns: A weaker wall, but trying to force your way through it will often cause injury.
Wall of trees: Extremely strong wall, but takes a good couple minutes to grow.
Entangling roots: Summons vines and roots that try to trip up and hold his target in place.

Personality: Quite a vain dragon even by dragon standards, more than eager to gloat about his own looks. His primary interest (besides himself of course) is knowledge, ranging from newly discovered inventions and concepts to ancient hidden texts. He considers himself the prettiest dragon around (at least of the males) and is happy to remind everyone of that.

Background:
As a youngling, the eastern was arguably a little too pampered by his parents, though even at a young age he seemed to take great pride in his fur and it quickly grew out of his hand, the dragon refusing to participate in most dragon activities on the account of it dirtying him up, so he was quick to gravitate to reading in his past time, learning the human language rather quickly and taking advantage of the fact that they like to write things down. Due to this he is actually quite familiar with human society, though in particular scholarly areas he overhears at the library.

Strangely enough, he developed an affinity for manipulating nature through magic, partly because he enjoyed the wild scenery occasionally, and because it allowed him to interact with nature without touching it. Also he really did seem to enjoy fruits and veggies way more than other dragons.

He struggled for a while to advance through the ages of dragons, mainly due to not wanting to muddy up his fur, so he worked mostly on applying his magic in non physical ways and avoiding touching anyone as much as possible, making most of his magic defensive with the exception of various poisonous vegetation to whittle down and tire out potential opponents.

Thanks! Anyways, I updated Ao's personality to make it lean more toward narcissism, gave him a fog ability to enforce his weather theme, and updated Alex's picture because it was going to the wrong site or something weird.

Edit: I updated the 'luck' ability to be able to have an impact in combat/plot related things, but only if it's not initiated by me. Basically I can't use it to avoid/shortcut things, but opponents/GMs can use it for flavor if they want to. Which will probably never happen but the option will be there.

Eh, that personality blurb isn't what I was aiming for. I'll rewrite it probably. Mainly was aiming for 'flirting for attention' and having a Casanova as a previous contractor that rubbed off on him in a way that fed into his vain personality. Also realized I need to hunt down a human form for him anyways.

Brief Backstory: Has always been a high grade student, enjoying books in almost all of his free time, but he remains quite social and is more than happy to hang out with his fellow students. Also has grown quite proficient at using books as weapons to get dragons to shut up over the years.

Name: Ao Rui
Type: Chinese Dragon
Personality: Ao loves being the center of attention, particularly the sort of wanting others to fall for him. Likely due to the influence of a previous Casanova contractor, he tends to go after the attentions of females. Being narcissistic, he revels in the chance to show off, and loves to be complemented. Despite being a feral creature, he keeps himself quite clean as to not put people off. He is a rather gentle soul, and grows quite attached to people who take some time to stroke his ego enough to gain his favor. Also, a little ego stroking often leads to him not shutting his big mouth about things, and thus a very bad dragon to trust with secrets. He gets easily bored when sitting still, and can often get rather mischievous to entertain himself.

Contractee Powers:
Bizarre amounts of luck - The type of person that wins a contest every month or so without ever entering them. To keep this balanced, I’ll leave it up to other players for to describe the effects of this in plot/combat related situations.
Control over existing liquid water - Ability to guide existing water through the air at high enough speeds to equate to a whip. With larger bodies of water he can send out powerful waves. Limited to pure water, like water found in a cup or river, not water currently in use by the living.
Extra strength - Able to lift up to twenty times his natural ability with ease.
Weather sense - Ability to predict upcoming weather with near perfect accuracy.

Personal Powers, partial summon:
Water conjuring - Can pull moisture out of the air to ‘conjure’ water. Also has water controlling abilities equivalent of his contractee.
Flight - Highly acrobatic, does not require wings.
Tough scales - Equivalent of metal armor
Color changing - Camouflage abilities like a chameleon.
Size shifting - Up to car size
Unnatural reflexes - Use of flight ability allows him to change direction at unnatural speeds
Natural strength - Relevant to size
Glowing - Can make self glow at will
Summon Fog - Able to cloud a small area in fog, thick enough to heavily hinder vision for everyone inside.
