This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.
My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Sorry for the late app! Things piled up. I have my character relatively older and that his past is that he has traveled throughout the USA, so if any pokemon are not near Wyoming, I would have him just get them from his travels. Hope everything is ok!
So there is nothing wrong with your character, but there are some things you should know about your Pokemon. Because I've already placed Pokemon around the world, I already know where your three Pokemon could be found naturally.
Zubat can be found in Eastern parts of USA, so you're fine there. He was probably found at night or in a cave.
As for Abra and Elekid/Electabuzz, those are not native to the USA, not even North America for that matter. Abra can be found in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Elekid can be found in Central Africa and Eastern Asia.
You don't have to change anything. Malcom's father could have caught the Elekid on his travels as a trainer. And Abra probably has an interesting but sad story, probably involving being left behind by a former trainer.
With all that said, I'm going to make an opening post in the IC section. Then you can begin.

This is Mont Saint-Michel, an island and mainland commune in Normandy, France. The island is located about one kilometer off the country's northwestern coast, at the mouth of the Couesnon River near Avranches. This island has a long history as a stronghold for a number of monarchies.
At night, a certain Dark/Steel type Pokemon patrols the streets and punishes all evildoers. Because of this, Mont Saint-Michel is known for having a crime rate of zero, but that comes at a cost. Don't be out late at night doing anything even remotely suspicious.

I think you're confused. This is "Pokemon: Earth". Meaning, Pokemon in the real world. Not to be confused with Pokemon Go, but you get the idea.
If you tell me where on Earth you are interested in starting, I could tell you what Pokemon are found in that area. I have a spreadsheet with every Pokemon up to Gen 7 which placed around the globe.
I am down to clown. I'll post a CS sometime today!

I've made a few edits to this RP to hopefully make it more simple and appealing. Let me know if you're interested.
I think a dice roll works just fine for me! Could you go ahead and roll the outcome? Then ill post :) and probably move margo and indigo forward
So, instead of doing any complicated math. All I did this time was use my judgement. This is supposed to be a normal trainer battle that you would be expected to win, unless you were unlucky. As such I did a Die 10 (for you) minus a Die 5 (for Ronaldo). The result was actually pretty close, with you only winning by one point.
The Pokemon he would have used are: Spearow, Hoothoot, Bouffalant, Blitzle.
You can use whatever four Pokemon you like.
If you can incorporate this, both his Spearow and his Hoothoot evolve mid battle. Perhaps this can be why the battle turned out so close. Indy wins, regardless.

"Sorry about that," Margo took the lead in conversation. "It was so dark and-- we just didn't know what was coming up the mountain. We thought it might have been some wild pokemon or something after us..." She shrugged, offering a sheepish smile. Indigo nodded. "I'm Margo, and this is Indigo..."
"I'm Ronaldo." The man answered with a serious face. "And it's okay. I should have been more careful. I'm way ahead of schedule anyways." He then took a deep breath and collected himself. "So are you two new trainers? You have to be since your not riding a Pokemon. Would one of you be up for a battle? I just know some of my Pokemon are getting ready to evolve, I'd love to get them some experience."
