Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Feel free to change the looks. Those outfit examples are just general examples for the humans anywho.
Let's continue.

There are six well known tribes of beast-folk.

The first, and most feared, are known as the Burning Heart Tribe. They are the predators, lions and tigers and bears, oh my! They live within the jungles, between the Sutisu and Riotifu nations. Their alliance constantly switches between the two waring nations.

The second, and most revered, are called the Soaring Wing Tribe. They are opportunists, ready to swoop down at a moments notice to claim what is rightfully theirs. Their home is on an island to the south of the Sutisu and Riotifu nations, but they are frequently seen upon land.

Then you will find the Poison Fang Tribe, comprised of reptilian creatures of all kinds: snake-men, crocodile-men, and more. They live within the southern reaches of the Sutisu and Riotifu continents, where they fight endlessly for their survival.

To the south, you will find the Loyal Tails Tribe. Living amongst the Mutrenu peoples, these cat-men, dog-men, rat-men, and so on live amongst their human overloads. In exchange for their servitude, they are granted freedoms and comforts unknown to those who resist.

Then you have the Giant Foot Tribe, which exists primarily on the fourth, albeit smallest continent on the planet. These large herbivores are happy to stay neutral, away from the wars of mankind.

Finally, there is the Hundred Gills Tribe. By far the largest tribe of all beast-folk, these mercreatures inhabit all the underwater realms of the planet. They are a most valuable asset to their human allies, delivering information and supplies. They can be found dealing with any one of the three nations of humans, at any given time.

More on the elves to come...
Let's start at the top, shall we?

Our story takes place on an Earth-like planet named Bellum. It is the oldest inhabited planet in the known universe, according to Bellum scientists at least. Technology here has advanced to the point of gravity manipulation, giving rise to flying cars and much more. Also, the organic lifeforms here have evolved to the point that they can internally harness the energies of their sun, their planet's core, and the stars at night; this is more commonly referred to as "magic".

The dominating society of Bellum is arguably the humans. There are three major continents on the planet, each one controlled by a different human society.

The first continent is controlled by the Sutisu people, a proud and mighty group that also claim to be the most technologically advanced.

The second continent, which is attached to the first, is controlled by the Riotifu people. The Riotifu are known for being rough around the edges and quite unpredictable, the opposite of their Sutisu neighbors.

The Riotifu and Sutisu people are rivals in every way, and are constantly at war with each other.

Far to the south, you will find the third continent. The Mutrenu people are a peaceful society, as far as humans go. They avoid direct physical conflict, but they are savvy business people. Should they ever have to go to war, they would surely have a tactical advantage.

Question / Poll

What would you like to see first?

A) Location & Setting Details
B) Key NPC Character Sheets
C) Deep Dive into Factions
D) Powers of Each Crystal
The Six Crystals

Summary of The Story: In a galaxy far away, in another universe perhaps, there lies a world filled with both magic and technology. The dominant race is definitely human-like, but these "humans" are not alone. There are also the "elves" and the "beast-folk" (Yes, you can make a fury character.). The humans live in cities and towns. The beast-folk live in tribes. The elves live in hidden villages (not a Naruto reference). The humans are divided into three main societies. The beast-folk are divided amongst each of their tribes, with changing alliances. The elves are self sufficient within each of their villages.

Two of the human societies are constantly at war, and the third is always trying to stay neutral, even though they are occasionally brought into the mess. The beast-folk tribes are fighting battles amongst themselves, and some of them have alliances with one of the human societies as well. The elves are doing their best to stay hidden, but there are those that feel they are being too passive.

The title of this story revolves around six magical artifacts, each one containing great power. Individually, each one of them generates enough power to supply a small city or a large town, and they never seem to run out of energy. They can be wielded by skilled warriors, granting them amazing abilities on the battlefield, or they can be used, as mentioned, as a literal power source for technology.

Currently, the yellow and violet crystals are in the possession of the two warring human factions, each trying to take the other's crystal. The red and green crystals are constantly switching hands, between the beast-folk tribes. The whereabouts of the blue and orange crystal are unknown, perhaps under the protection of one or two of the elf villages.

How to Join: If you want to join at this point, you can take on one of two roles. You can either be a keeper of a crystal, a main character (There can only be six, obviously.). Or if you don't want that much responsibility, you can be a regular character. As a keeper of a crystal, you will be expected to post as much as possible, at least twice a week. If a keeper of a crystal becomes inactive or if they choose, their crystal will go up for grabs.

If you are interested in joining this RP, leave a reply stating which type of character you would like (keeper or regular), and give me a general idea of your character. The six crystals are on a first come first serve basis.

More information to come.
I'm officially dropping out of this RP. Clinical rotations are taking up too much of my mental energy. Best of luck to you.

No worries. I understand. Go save some lives!
Oh lawd, there better not be Covid in 2099.

Okay, I'll edit my post. I might not get around to it for a few days, so I'll just make my post blank until then.

You didn't have to leave it blank. I just meant that you could delete the part where she drove away. That way Reno would have a chance to be like "Hey, I'm parked right here. Looks like we're both safe now..."
I just remembered this is about New Year's and I'm getting triggered because I caught Covid on New Year's x_x XD

Let's all assume our characters are staying 6 feet apart. XD

Also, the idea to go back to the lab was only a suggestion, not knowing that we were parked next to each other, and it was only to get away from the spiders. I think Reno would try to stop her once he realized they were parked near each other. They could split ways in the parking lot. Do you want to back your post up a little?
Added the timeskip edit to the post. Hope it is alright.

Bakuto sure is one persistent fellow. I like it!
