She refused to avert her gaze, lest her hesitance was mistaken for insincerity. She didn’t even allow her thoughts to drift. His gaze was challenging her, probing to see if her concern was just the obligatory, superficial interference expected of an adult. But hell, even if it was just her duty, it didn’t diminish her worries at all. It wasn’t right that a fifteen-year-old kid had to go through such torment. If she could lessen his heartache by just a little bit, she would be satisfied not just as a teacher, but also as a person who was just tired of seeing children being crushed by the pressure put on them.

They stood there for a while. She didn’t count how many minutes had passed, she had always been quite poor at time keeping. Fortunately, Ojima-kun was the first one to crack. His smile felt more genuine this time, like a little bit of his burden had been lifted just by her presence on the roof.

"Kuzunao-sensei, this year’s tournament is dredging up old demons for me. Angels too,”

She nodded when he finished speaking, choosing to ignore his rather unsettling chuckle. Everyone in the faculty had been briefed on Ojima’s violent incident, as well as the emotional and mental toll it had on the boy. She had rewatched the footage immediately after the meeting. He was an animal; there was no other way to describe it. Vicious and merciless blows were systemically rained upon his curled up opponent, initially with his powered staff, then with his fists. The television broadcast had cut at that point but the archived footage had clearly shown Yasuo’s trance-like expression during the carnage. Sakamori found it impossible to believe that the soft-spoken boy could have been responsible for such brutality, but the evidence was right there before her eyes.

Sakamori thought carefully. She couldn't say that was well equipped to assist with mental illness, but if her own experiences were something to go by…

“I know that self-restraint is what you’re worried about the most. I’ve been there too. Now, I don’t want to force you into anything you don't want to do. But simply avoiding your trauma will not lessen it by any means. Trust me on this.” She spoke in a soft, reassuring voice.

She paused for a moment, trying to devise a way to suggest it gently.

“Have you participated in any mock battles since then? It might be a good way to ease you back into the mindset. You’ll need it in these coming times.”
Sooo I was perusing through the OOC and I noticed you GMs skipped over a proposed character at the bottom of Page 4. You should take a look.

@Krot

Sorry about that, didn't mean to pressure you or anything. The Location work you did is excellent though, thanks for that.

Here's my CS:

@Renny

Sakamori smiled tiredly at the use of her first name. She’d always remind him to use her family name on school grounds, but she knew how much he despised formalities so she always let it slide. He took some time to stand, obviously stalling to think up an excuse or false explanation for his sombre state. The way he smirked bothered her. The positive sentiment absolutely refused to meet his sad eyes. It felt more like a wall than a friendly gesture. She hated the way he avoided looking at her too. Did the presence of a teacher really make him that uncomfortable?

“If your father lays a single finger on you, he’ll be the one getting slapped,” Sakamori vowed bitterly.

“Yes, it’s about the test. Partially anyway. You were actually doing a great job, before you gave up completely.”

That wasn’t the direction she wanted the conversation to go. There was no need to make him feel even worse about his poor grades.

“The reason I’m really here is because I’m worried. You seem to be distracted, upset even, as of late. I … understand if you would prefer not to discuss it with a teacher, but there are always people at school who are willing to listen and help.”

Sakamori hesitated, wondering if she should recommend the guidance counsellor. She knew that school-appointed counsellors operated quite poorly when it came to mental health, or just sympathising with students in general. But any help was better than none, right?

“The guidance counsellor’s office is always open, though I’m not sure how much assistance they’d provide, given your circumstances. And there’s no shame in asking me for advice with your studies or anything else that is bothering you.”

She probably should have suggested his friends too, but she wasn’t sure if the young man had any positive relations with his fellow students, considering the way he left Kenji in the classroom. She kept a firm gaze, hoping that the student would heed her advice.
An Awakening, huh? So that’s what they called this whole naked-with-superpowers dealio. Winnie found herself relaxing after the magical girls showed up. They were finally safe from those monsters. She watched as the girls bantered among themselves. She knew better than to intrude, though being ignored was a bit of a bummer. The blue one, the girl they encountered first, the one called Delia, she said something that caught Winnie’s attention.

Fifty years?! she thought.

She must have been talking about her family that lived in the mansion or something. There was no way these girls could be any older than sixteen.

The party of normals fell with the strange girls through the portal thing. Camila screamed through the whole thing for some reason, that was kinda funny. A little warning would have been nice though. And then they were in a castle. Holy damn, it was pretty. Yep, Winnie could always appreciate some good landscaping. The girls had somehow changed into their casual clothes. Now that she paid proper attention, Winnie noted some details about the girls.

Amanita Muse Renfred. Winnie had no clue which country or language that name came from, seemed to be a mixture of Spanish and German. And wow, she was seriously pretty too. Winnie blinked her eyes rapidly and shook her head to try and prevent the blush that was creeping up the back of her neck.
Cleo Fabiola. She seemed pretty friendly. Winnie hoped that they would get along; she looked like she would be a blast to hang out with.
Tio Fawlker. She looked the youngest, probably was if the table manners were anything to go by. Winnie could relate though, she got always told off at dinner.
Delia Juliette le Bl- wow, that was a mouthful. She was obviously quite proud of her name. Another obvious thing: she was the leader of this little team and knew it well. Winnie wondered if the smugness was there even before she was appointed leader. Probably was, considering those French types.

Camila spoke first as usual, luckily voicing all the questions that Winnie had intended to ask. Shakti, Kagami and Katerina (oh, so that was her name) introduced themselves too. Kagami even offered to share some grapes! Winnie grinned in return and sat down with the Japanese girl to eat.

“Ah right. I’m Winnie Tran, from Australia,” she said in between chewing the grapes. They were seriously really tasty.

“Are you guys 100% sure about the no-clothes thing?”

I'll get a sheet up when the Locations bit has been finished.
It was in the Faculty Office where Sakamori Kuzunao’s mood deteriorated from slight discontentedness to full blown irritation. The instructor sighed as she glanced at the two piles of tests on her desk, one for marked and the other for unmarked. The ratio between them seemed to be about 1:15, and there was still the next class’ work to mark tomorrow. This was going to take a while. Sakamori worked hunched over, gratuitously leaving red slashes and suggested solutions with her pen. It was usually easy to get into a rhythm with these sorts of things, especially if it involved numbers. Even if the recent test scores were sub-par at best and appalling at worst.

A certain student’s test soon pulled her out of the zone. Ojima Yasuo. Mathematics was quite a weak spot for the boy. Previous tests, including his entrance exam, had been evident of that. His latest one however, was the biggest mess by far. He had clearly just given up halfway through, leaving most of the last half's space blank apart from a few cartoon monkeys. It was greatly disappointing, considering that the questions he did complete showed quite a decent effort. It didn’t help either that Ojima-kun had been distracted as of late, more than he usually was in her classes.

Sakamori frowned. If this continued then his future prospects would get dimmer and dimmer. This sort of issue would usually go to the guidance counsellor but…

She stood up. There were only a few more tests to mark. They could wait. She exited the office and strode down the hall, her flats making audible clicks on the wooden floors as she made her way to the second year hallway. She’d heard that the troubled youth often hung back in the classrooms, either to nap or have some alone time. However, what she found when she arrived was a hapless Kenji-kun who angrily huffed that Ojima had left, presumably to the roof.

She found him muttering to himself, hand grabbing his chest, too far to hear properly. The poor boy seemed quite distressed as he lay down. It troubled her to see someone so young weighed down like this.

“Ojima-kun,” she called, making sure to keep a composed and gentle tone, “you seem troubled. Is there something upsetting you?”
I might make a post with Sakamori-sensei talking to Yasuo. Is that cool with you? @Renny
I can't say that I can see what difficulties would arise with a player using first person. GM posts can be in third person regardless of what perspective the player chooses to write in, can't they? What tense GM writes in probs shouldn't be affected by this. Crimmy's a decent enough writer to use first person to effectively convey his character's thought process.

So yeah, I'm with Renny on this. I think Crimmy should be able to write in whatever voice he feels suits the character.
