only four days in and weve already lost our first victim lol. how about whenever someone drops out, we have their character die, that way we dont have to bunny them throughout the entire journey lol. like if they exert too much power, they die. like for zordons, she could emit a bright pulse then her body disappears, never to be seen again. something like that! that way we have an excuse for people who drop out. like if i were to stop posting, we could have my body rapidly decay while wilting flowers and vines sprawl from my innards. :D lol

What a way to go, swallowed up by the very thing that defines your existence......I like it, it's morbid with just a dash of Justice.
Drake knew that this would be the last chance he had to figure anything else. As his house loomed above them, it's multiple roofs, modern style, and otherwise largeness seeming more and more like a ticking clock, Drake had always hated how incredibly large the house was, it got incredibly lonely when it was empty, which wasn't often, but happened enough that he still often felt a burning enmity for the ancient place, but it was a family home, and despite what he said or felt, he held an attachement to the old building, it also was big enough to hide and learn secrets in, which was a large part of why he kept it.

Regaining himself after a moment of reflection, and taking another swing of the old cough syrup for good measure, although he was actually beginning to feel it now, ("finally" he thought to himself), while making sure to note the scorn-filled scowl of dissaproval that radiated off of the Paladin but also noticing that she seemed to be filled with focus on something, she almost definitely had a theory, he filled the otherwise quiet, cool night air with words for what he imagined would be the last time that night, "you seem to think you know what it is though, care sharing, Miss........?" Drake thought that perhaps he hadn't added enough drunken inflection to that last question, but he figured that he would just have to deal with it.

yeah :(
So I just noticed that as it stands our character's names, as they are displayed under the taken tarot holders tab, spells the work ark, and I thought that was cool, cuz there is no way anyone could have planned that.........right?

This has been random observations with Battleshovel, we now return you to your normally scheduled OOC content.
Beau noticed that the rest of those gathered seemed tone taking the same road, that they were agreeing with the old man and taking up pledges to fight, all had different ways of expressing it, and several others had summoned strange creatures from wherever these strane creatures came from. He smiled and then yawned, it dawned on him that he hadn't had any sleep in about two days, and that he was close on the verge of collapse, he scratched Tugg's head as he did, and then spoke up, "well it occurs to me that none of us who have chosen this path will be any good to anything of we aren't fully rested, imagine trying to sabotage an entire nation without a full nights sleep, I suggest that we all sleep, and In the morning we can try to find food, have breakfast, learn more about each other and discuss our first move when we are less sleepy, and have eaten, and have an entire day laid before us" Beau wondered where that had come from, he wasn't usually the one to suggest anything reasonable, maybe it was this place, it seemed to bring the wise lighting elemental out of him.

Anyway, after this Beau headed off into the blackness toward a particularly comfortable looking mushroom that sat directly under a hole in the roof of the cave, which Beau then claimed as his own bed via the ancient ways of the elementals "Dibs" Beau said sagely and climbed onto the mushroom, Tugg appearing next to him as he finally climbed up, then he scrunched up, Tugg's furry body serving as a blanket as the large creature laid across Beau's legs.
"Something else? Like what, Monsters?" Drake added a bit of a drunken sounding chuckle as he asked, guiding the Paladin into rounding a corner, they were on his street now, at the pace they were taking, and depending upon her answer, he'd probably only have time for maybe one more question after this, he had to start making them count more if he was going to figure out what she knew. But also he liked this human, which made him more hesistant about lying in this way to her, moreover he didn't like being manipulative on his sacred holiday, it was supposed to be a day of mourning and peace, but at the same time he had to figure this out, he'd come up with something if it didn't work he supposed, but that would require quite a bit of work, and there were other events coming up that would require his attention. As the Paladin began to answer, Drake noticed that the frown upon her face had gone from dissaproving to concerned, and something told the Dragon that it had nothing to do with the drunk she was walking home, she seemed genuinely concerned for those under her protection, and Drake respected that, especially as one who had several under his protection. The dragon was focusing hard and his face began to lose that manic smile that had adorned it for so long, so he took yet another swing of his bottle of expensive-looking drink and redecorated his face with it as he waited for her answer.
Techno spun in his chair as Annabelle radioed in, bringing up the relevent map on his holoprojector, he saw where the pretty transformative mutant was and typed a few things on his keyboard before reporting back to Annabelle, sounding only a bit frustrated "Sorry 'bout that Diamond, we'll take another crack at it after this mission, I swear one of these days we'll get it right, luckily, this time you're only about two hallways down from the rest, take a right, then your first left, then follow that hallway to the end, you should run right into them" It frustrated Techno that he couldn't figure out a way to make Xyl's teleporting work more accurately for Annabelle, but he didn't really have time to focus on that rght now.

"Hear that IN?" he asked into his comm, bringing Mindbender's coordinate's up on the screen he took them and sent them to Xyl's comm, which would relay them into the psychic teleporter's ear, it was a feature that made life a lot easier for him that Techno had come up with a few missions ago, it made for much more accurate and quick teleporting than having to describe it all to Xyl. "Get him in there, the sooner you do, the sooner you can get back to your bet" Techno threw in as a little extra motivation for the teleporter.

"El Tee, Xyl's 'ports are on their way, and may I say, you appear to have not lost a single step despite your incredible age, also despite the silence on the part of the rest of the team, I heard from Diamond, seems she got teleported a few hallways away from the rest of the team, as usual, which means that whatever is blocking our signals, if anything, must be coming from one or more of the Brotherhood, or from Hammer herself, also there are two goons approaching from your 7 o'clock"
Upon standing, and belching, Drake threw his arm over the paladin and leaned on her, for a bunch of homicidal monsters, there were certain humans who had stronger moral codes than others, and it would appear that this Paladin was among them, though not entirely surprising considering that she WAS a Paladin, it impressed Drake that the woman should help a drunk whom moments ago she had shown nothing but hostility toward, and was a total stranger at that, it was this sort of hypocritical kindness that had earned the woman, and very small parts of humanity as a whole, Drake's respect. Drake was pondering this as he listened to the woman scold him for drinking in public. "Mmmm maybe, but I enjoy the park, better scenery, more open air" Drake made sure to sway and wobble a little bit as he leaned on the Paladin and took another swig of his liquid courage. Then Drake's memory suddenly popped an interesting fact into his memory, and it occured to Drake that some more good might come out of this yet, as he dropped his next question, he slurred his words and upped his volume slightly, it was important that the woman next to him have no doubt of his inebriation so that she answer honestly "So....." He stumbled a bit for good effect "Why are people dissappearing, earlier you said it was p-pissing you off, do you know what's causing the disserpearancers" he slurred, wondering if maybe he had overdone it on the selling, they were also getting closer to the Bacardo residence, and as such there wouldn't be much more time to recover, should his act prove too good.

All these plot ideas sound awesome, but it sounds like we'll need more players to carry out most of them.

Perhaps not too many more though, if the Elite Paladins all work as a group, than it's not totally unheard of to have one player control all of them, especially if they're hive-mind or something, not to mention that Hive-mind elite forces trained for one purpose, and carrying out that purpose, is about as scary as it gets, even for bone-ripping creatures of the night.

An alternative is that as Disbelief starts breaking down, all the supernatural creatures in the area gather to discuss what should be done (like the calm, rational beings that they are), I imagine differences of opinion are settled much more violently in the supernatural community (like the savage, bestial creatures that they are), considering most have a healing factor or invulnerability of some sort, which could lead to some interesting happening. Also this sort of meeting requires only as many characters as we have, (I don't really know what Alex would do, maybe he accidentally wanders in, or is there as a sort of finger food, or as proof that disbelief is breaking down, or maybe Lilah brought him to make sure that everybody gets a fair shake including the humans.......) and this allows more to be added, just saying they arrived late, or they were really quiet during the first bit, or they were sleeping etc.

I hope this doesn't sound rude, but that's a picture of New York City, not Philadelphia.
