But on the flip side, if he did know, maybe it was just so his family and friends didn't treat him differently, like he wanted to live his life as normally as possible until things finally happened. I am half wondering if that would be more plausible, I mean he keeps all their secrets, why wouldn't he have some of his own?

We should, and we had a me and him night last night. We live with his parents, so that gets a little hard, but after work, we got home and we talked and it was just a good night.

Perhaps the parents hid it, but I see James as sort of guessing at it after a while, like his parents would keep holding him back from stuff to make it worse, or just so they could think they were helping it go away.
