With my ongoing Freshman year of college, I think it’ll be easier to keep up with a one-on-one than a multi-player RP. I'm also really just looking to branch out.

So, what I’m looking for is Advanced, maybe Very High Casual level players. I like realism to be applied to writing and character concepts which means I should be able to ask questions about your character without the answer being “Because that’s how it is.” or something like that. I don’t mind if you question me either. Constructive criticism is the only way we’ll improve.

I like substantial posts that are one to two paragraphs or longer. No one-liners. Ever. Put a lot of thought and movement in your posts. There’s nothing worse than a two or three paragraph long post that does absolutely nothing to move the story along. Details are extremely important to me.

Frequency of posting is up to you and your schedule. I’m a hella busy (#musicianproblems), but let’s try not to go more than a week without posting something.

Communication is key! I like to talk in OOC and discuss plot points, characters, ideas and everything, but not without spoiling too much. I want your contribution.

You can have as many characters as you can handle, but I don’t imagine that number going over three or four for me. CSs are optional. I find they come in handy if there are a lot of characters involved.

I think it goes without saying that proper grammar, proper spelling, third person, past tense is expected. No unnecessary coding or apostrophes or capitalizations. Please. Typos are understandable.
About Me

I have more boys than girls, but I can play both.

Not a lot of my characters are on the straight and narrow sexuality wise. I have characters of all genders and sexualities, though.

I’m a fan of romance, but I don’t want that to be the only focus of the RP.

That being said, I don’t mind writing sex if it’s in the context of the RP. And my RP partner is a legal adult, as am I. I'm fine with fading to black if romance isn't the focus of the RP.

I’m the flip side, I don’t mind a high degree of violence so long as it doesn’t get cartoonishly excessive.

Be prepared for me to ask you a lot of questions about your character or plot idea or whatever. It's either that I'm interested or confused about something. Don't take it as an attack, please.

Not big on fandoms unless it’s just borrowing the world and not canon plot or characters.

I don't like anthros and some other stuff that I'll let you know about when we start PMing.

I'm best at MxM, good at MxF and worst at FxF.
Plots!

These are just a few ideas off of the top of my head. I’m pretty good with almost any genre, but I’ll let you know where my strengths and weaknesses are. Please, feel free to bring up any idea you might have that I didn’t write down. And if you take a liking to one of them, come with some ideas of how you’d like to execute it and we can hammer out the specifics together.

Mind if I throw in another?

Name: Pia Jakobsen
Age: 16
Gender: Female

Appearance: Pia is a natural blonde, but she’s constantly dying her hair different colors. Most recently, she’s gone with bubblegum pink at the top of her hair that bleeds into pale blue at the tips. Her hair goes about to her bust. She has a tiny frame and she’s not very tall either, about 5’3”, but proportionally, she has modest curves. Her eyes are a dark shade of earth; not entirely green, but not solid brown.

Personality: Pia tries to give the impression that she’s just a normal girl, stemming from some embarrassing moments she had involving her parents, but now her facade is slipping and she’s becoming more openly self-conscious. She has no problems sharing what she’s feeling, but her feelings can be complicated. She likes to make friends and she’s very open-minded to other people’s desires. She’s as good of a listener as she is a talker. She’s the type to cry and isolate herself when she gets upset or overwhelmed.

Superpower: Gravity manipulation. She can increase, decrease or completely eliminate gravity in areas around her and under her feet.

She can’t change the gravity in the air; There has to be some sort of surface for her to focus on. For instance, if an object is in the air, she can’t make it float or stop its momentum, but she can create a field of gravity in its line of travel and bring it down or up provided it doesn’t roll out of the field before then.

With a running start, she can fly/jump long distances by decreasing the pull of gravity under her. She can’t go very high, though, or else she’ll lose contact with the ground and start to fall.

Biography: Pia’s whole family is made up of nerdy Danes. Her parents are into the old school comics, her younger brother is a hardcore gamer and her younger sister is anime-obsessed. Ever since she as a kid, her parents dressed her up as her favorite characters and took her all over the country to visit conventions. All her life, she was exposed to superheroes and villains that when she came into her own ability, she thought of it as a gift or a sign from some higher power that she was supposed to be a superhero.

She discovered her ability when she was meditating one day and she began to rise off of the ground. She kept it to herself for a while, practiced in secret, so that when she told her parents she would have something to show off. She did exactly that and her parent’s reaction was the exact opposite than what she anticipated. One thing led to another and now she’s in the asylum.

Other: N/A
Walker considered Ariel's invitation for a moment. She used a lot of words he didn't hear very often, so it took a little longer for his brain to catch up and translate what she was saying. He was just going to grab one of his friends and bust into Poseidon's cabin or something, but he never went inside the Apollo cabin before. He liked the idea of exploring new territory.

"Sure, I'll tag along," A lopsided grin spread across his face, "Lead the way, princess." In the back of his mind, he still couldn't believe how hung up she was on his head, but he didn't let it bother him so much now. However, it made him wonder if it was worse than what he was he thought. He reached up to the back of his head and gingerly prodded around for the bump.

A spark of pain ran down his scalp. He controlled the wince, but his smile still tightened just a bit. Found it. And it was a little bigger than what he remembered. Just a little swollen or something.
Shiloh moaned from the rush of pain in his head. He felt someone shaking him awake, but it was the urgency of her voice that made his eyes fly open. He saw Riley, but then he saw past her to the white ceiling and then the padded walls. Padded walls. Asylum. Panic gripped him and he shot up, his eyes darting everywhere. "What-? How-?" Too many questions fought to get out of him at once. He threw a hand in his hair and struggled to maintain a steady breath. This was wrong. It was so impossible wrong- like a nightmare come to life. But he would be alone in his nightmare. At least he had Riley.

A new wave of pain from his headache came back from him subconsciously pulling on his hair. His eyes screwed shut and he let go of his hair. "Damn. My head," He grunted.
The kick to the mattress jostled Nadia awake. Her eyes snapped open and she sat up quickly. She shouldn't have been asleep, yet there she was, waking up and in... a hotel room? She slid of the bed, ignoring the pounding in her head as best he could, and felt her pockets while she examined who she was with in the dark. Everything was accounted for in her pockets, but of habit, she frowned at the guy as he lit a cigarette.

Of all people she had to be stranded with, it had to be him- whatever his name was. Carl or something. But she pushed her own feelings towards him aside. He was Riley's cousin, so she felt obligated not to ditch him in her search for the others. Even if he was kind of a dick. She crept behind him, but when he went for the door, she grabbed his arm to stop him. With her other hand, she drew her army knife, fingered out the blade attachment of the tool and held a finger to her lips with the gadget pinched between her fingers, indicating that he should maybe shut up. The voice out there could belong to the one that put them in the room.

She lightly slapped him on the chest with the back of her hand so he would back up and she moved to stand in front of him. She was the one with the knife, after all. She knew he did some martial arts or whatever, but she didn't trust him already since he was being noisy and smoking. The smoke itself wasn't bad; She was used to it, but the timing couldn't have been much worse.

"Like hell you can take them alone," Hiro hissed bordering on hysterics, "This place is fucked." The volume was enough to earn the attention of a nearby orderly who looked over the three of them. Hiro straightened up and tried to look as nonchalant as possible. This guy just wasn't getting it. He couldn't just walk away now. It would look way too suspicious as would "gathering them around". He wasn't trying to get himself stronger sedatives or locked up in solitary either.

"Hey. Hey." He grabbed Mikael's arm and gave it a good hard shake to get his attention. He dropped down again and spoke as calmly as his current temper would allow. "If you can introduce yourself so damn fine, why don't you yourself to everybody instead of hanging around this chick? Hell, if you're such a socialite, why don't you just 'gather everyone around' your own damn self?" He was losing track of his volume again. He was loud enough that Mel surely would have heard him. "All's I'm saying is that you don't have to lie about your intentions, man, and don't try and drag me down with you. You need some room? Just say so. Just don't say I didn't warn you. I'm nobody's accomplice." After living in a gang-infested neighborhood for so long, he learned how to keep himself safe and he tried to be careful about what friends he made.

"And hey. Hey." He grabbed Mikael's arm again, but gave him a hard squeeze. "Snitches get stitches. You got that, buddy?"
Walker sent a perplexed look Ariel's way. He didn't think she knew the difference between a playful jab and an actual threat. Whatever. He doubted anyone could sway her out of her super-pacifist outlook.

A hard sigh pressed out of him and all traces of humor left his expression. He wasn't a fan of collateral damage in his disputes and he liked to think there was a way to contain it, but, of course, someone sometimes ended up like Ariel. A frown pulled at the corners of his lips. Like hell it wasn't Adrian's fault, too.

"Bump's fine," He said more curtly than intended. He let another, calming breath pass out of him before continuing with less aggression. "You can look at it if you really want to, but it's seriously not bad." Then Zula came and went with a hasty goodbye. He watched her go and wondered if it was something that he said. Or bad breath or something.

Chiron's voice caught his attention. He looked to the other three campers with a grin back on his face. "Hey, that must be about Capture the Flag." He knew Ariel probably wouldn't play, but that didn't mean the other two wouldn't. But then his next words put his assumption to a swift death.

"Aw, c'mon!" He groaned along with the others. What was this even about? Capture the Flag was almost never canceled and now he had to sit in that crowded frickin' cabin for the rest of the day? Yeah, right. He'd probably break into one of the Big Three's cabins again. They were almost always empty.
Miles quickly pulled his arm out from between the bars when the door started to open. He stepped through the opening and followed everyone out with his ears swiveling to and fro. Upon seeing the older man, he blanched at the familiar tone he took with them. He didn't recognize him at all for someone who was calling himself their father.

Miles warily traded looks with the others around him to see if they believed this man any more than he did. He stayed back then when it was his turn, slowly approached the man.

"Hi," He said tentatively, "You said you were our dad? Does that mean they're all my brothers and sisters?"

Father nodded. He moved back to his regular position. "And you're my son, I bet you have a million questions." Father leaned back against the plush couch and relaxed. "I'm all ears Miles, just ask away, if you have any worries just tell me. I'm here for you." He went to squeeze Miles' shoulder gently.

Miles' eyes followed the hand that came to his shoulder, but didn't move away from the contact. It was strangely comforting, but it didn't seem so strange knowing that this man was his dad. He smiled back up at the man, his ears perked up straight.

"I was wondering how long we've been asleep. And what that man that snuck in last night did to us," He asked, then started to unzip his jumpsuit, "'cause I have this bump on my back that I don't remember and it's sore, but I don't know if that's because I fell on it when I woke up or if it's always been that way."

"How long you've been asleep? Just a night or so." He said with some worry. "You slept in about half-a-day, it's right at noon." Father said. He looked at a watch just to make sure. "11:58." He looked back up at Miles. "The man, he was caught." Father said. "So don't worry about him, as far as what he did, well he drugged you guys. I assume he meant to rob us, but didn't quite manage." Father smiled.

Father then got up to look at Miles' back. He went to put his hand on Mile's bump. "Here?"

Miles shrugged off one sleeve of the jumpsuit and pulled back far enough to show Father the bump on his tailbone. He nodded when he felt his hand on top of it. "Yeah, yeah. That's it," His eyes widened, "Did the drugs do that? Have I been poisoned?" His ears flattened against his head.

Father chuckled lightly. "No, no. You're fine Miles." He said removing his hand and helping Miles get the jumpsuit back up. "That bump you're feeling is a sign that you're growing as a person. You see, you, my children, are special. You're half-animal. Don't ask me how, but you. Now you, you are half-wolf, and don't let the others know, I haven't told them. You're actually growing a tail, which is wonderful!" He smiled. "I'm supposed to be training you now to be special soldiers and stop people who do bad things. To do that you have to embrace your animal, okay?"

Miles eyes widened again, but his ears came up with his surprise. "Naw, really!?" That was too loud. He dropped his voice to a whisper. "I'm a half-wolf?" That would explain a lot of things. He held both sides of his head in an effort to contain his excitement and felt his ears. That's right!. His ears. He couldn't imagine his head without them. He straightened up and beamed at Father. "I will, Dad. I promise," He said resolutely, punctuated with a firm nod, "I'll be the best soldier you'll ever have."

Father smiled. "I know you will Miles, I know." He went to pat Mile on the head gently twice. "Now the training is rigorous and a lot of hard work, but if you do well I'l get you a surprise that you can mess with in your downtime, okay?" Father beamed with pride at Miles, and for once, he didn't feel upset that he could, even though it was a total lie, call Miles his son.

Miles' ears dipped to accommodate the hand that was coming for his head then sprang back up when it was gone. He perked up at the thought of a reward. Well, now he had to do well so he could get that prize. He loved surprises. "Okay, Dad," He chirped and flashed Father a bright smile in gratitude.

"Oh, I should probably skedaddle," Throwing a glance at the others behind him, "Can't keep holdin' you up like this. I'm sure everybody's got some questions." He backed up and bumped into the forgotten armchair. He lost his balance for a moment, but caught himself on the back of the seat. "Whoops!" He chuckled and slid the chair back into place before backing up for the next person to take their turn.
"That guy? Psh," Walker scoffed, "Ares' kids are nothing but trouble. They all think they're hot sh..." He tapered off when he heard Ariel's voice. By the time she put her hand on his arm, he was turning around to face her. He never quite got used to her "mother hen" meets "candy striper" attitude towards him. And everyone else, basically. Even his own mother didn't dote on him this much. He smiled for her and lightly shrugged her hand off of his arm.

Nick answered before him, but he didn't mind since he got it right. He smirked at the "It was a type of funny." "Yeah, I'm sure it was a lot of fun to watch. Next time, I'll chuck a tray at your head and have a laugh, too. How does that sound?" He joked sarcastically and shoved him lightly on the shoulder. He rolled his eyes and looked back to Ariel. "I'm fine. I just got a bump on the back of my head and..." That was when he noticed the red mark on her face.

"Wait a minute, what that on your face?" He narrowed his eyes on her cheek and leaned closer to see, "Did he get you with that tray, too?"
Hey, I got busy and I don't think I'll be getting unbusy any time soon. I'm gonna have to drop this. Sorry.
Hey, I'm kind of swamped right now. I'd still like to join, but not while everything is so hectic. So, I'm probably gonna opt out unless there's an option to come back later.
