Miles' smile faded away as he watched Father run out the room with tears in his eyes. HIs ears reflected his emotions as the conversation between his siblings made a turn for the worse by falling flat against his head. He looked between them while they argued, unsure of what to say, until one of them dared the other to ask the guard to leave.
"Now, hang on a just one darn minute," He spoke up, looking more hurt than upset, "Let's just settle down and not lose our heads about the island. It's our home. That's all." Personally, he took little issue with the fact that they lived on an island. He would like to go outside at some point, though. The beach could be a lot of fun.
He put himself between his feathered brother and the one with the wings. "We don't want any trouble, right? Dad told me that if we train hard enough, we'll get a surprise." His ears came up again and he grinned, brimming with enthusiasm. "And I'm real sorry I don't remember any of y'all, but this is our chance to get to know each other again." He beamed and popped up a little on the balls of his toes. "C'mon, let's go look around this place for a gym. Whaddaya say? The gym?"
