I've been lurking myself, sorry! I'll wrap up the event tomorrow, but if you want your characters to keep on with getting to know one another, you can carry on the evening strolling around town or, if Willow wants to stay open, chatting at the bar.

Teddy got the hint, but he wasn't about to leave Loralei to die and save his own skin. "No," he said, "We can all get out of this." She needed help right now, and Teddy didn't think he was strong enough to drag her away to wherever they needed to go. The janitor might be able to carry her to safety, but the creatures were already upon them. They needed a distraction. Feeling guilty for leaving Loralei's side, Teddy cut around the approaching zombies in a wide arc so that he was to their side, then began jumping up and down. "Over here! Look at me!" he hollered, trying desperately to turn their attention away from Loralei and the janitor.

Having no option to hide, Teddy looked back to see who had followed him out of the cafeteria. The girl who had come over to talk to him and his friends, Loralei, was here, and so was the janitor, and he was- wait. He was locking the door? Weren't there more people in there?

"What are you-" he stopped at the sound of Loralei's gasps. He turned to see what had startled her, but it wasn't that at all. She seemed to be having trouble breathing. Teddy had never seen an asthma attack before, and a chill overtook him Is she turning into one of them? How did it happen again? What did it look like? It all happened so fast...

"L-Loralei?" He wasn't sure whether to step forward or back, so he just stood there awkwardly, looking back and forth between her and the janitor.

Teddy stopped just past the door to the schoolyard, the moaning around the corner sent a shiver up his spine. Was someone hurt? Or was it just another one of those things? With no time to wait for something to come out and attack him, and no attention paid to who had followed him out, his eyes darted around quickly for a place to hide.

Mayor Dink approached Willow with two local faces at his shoulders. To his left was Joy Clemens, a young woman with dark, braided hair who had been operating the local library. To his right, Mark Hannover, a bespectacled man in his late 30's who ran a vineyard south of town. The library had actually cleaned up quite nicely under Joy's care, with many new residents having donated some more modern books to its humble collection. The winery seemed to be coming along well, rumors abound that Mark would soon be producing his own wine to sell.

"I called in the reinforcements," Dink said, "that is, if you don't mind. You and your grandmother looked like you could use some time to mingle, and we'd all like to lend a hand."

The pair behind him smiled with rosy cheeks and nodded in agreement. They'd been among the first to come, and had well settled into the evening by now. That is to say, they seemed a little tipsy. But Dink was sober with only a beer under his belt, and the two were functional at the very least.
