Current And so when you have one player who plays both of the characters, that means they are dictating and creating their own character growth rather than it being dependent on someone else's writing.

I think the failing of most Fate RPs is that they have each person play both a master and servant. The problem with this is that the bonds between the servant and their master are the deepest growth.

Little busy with Christmas and whatnot over the next couple days. And driving. A lot of driving.

I'm sorry to people who had put effort into the RP I was starting a few months ago. My father passed away unexpectedly on the 1st of July, at the age of 56. So I haven't really been on here much.

I don't care what anyone says, I'm having the most fun with FFXV that I've had with a game since Metal Gear 5.

Makes sense to me. If given the choice of all those, I'd probably roll a Pathfinder BLADE.

IT's just an issue of getting people for the RP. I've seen someone else attempt and just, nobody would respond.
Sorry to anyone I haven't responded to on this subject. It has been a hella long week.

So, right now we'd like someone for a more shorter term RP. A one-off scene just to try things out, and see how the three person RP deal goes. So this would be more of just a scene idea, rather than an overall world and storyline idea. I've got some ideas myself.
Not even a distant land, we're stuck on a whole different planet~

I'd definitely be down if more interest pops in. How would Divisions be handled if they're included? I can imagine working stuff in for the Interceptors/Harriers is pretty straight forward, but the Outfitters, Curators, and Mediators sound difficult to manage for an overarching narrative.

While the game gives bonuses depending on your division, it wouldn't make much sense for say, Outfitters or Mediators to go outside the city, since they are supposed to be non combat focused divisions. In this case we'd probably just leave it specifically a choice between Interceptors and Harriers. Potentially Pathfinders, Prospectors, and Reclaimers as well, since their job is still to venture out into the world. They'd just have a slightly different role within the team than the rest, but I think it's just generalized that they are all expected to take on the missions that come their way, be it installing data probes, or taking down indigens.
Bump because I'm still interested in this.
@Bell Yeah, just read the first post. Do you happen to need a gunner or an engineer? My character could be your secondary gunner and engineer. Like a jack of all trades?

Both positions are open, the ship has 2 guns so I mean, it probably has 2 gunners anyways. And two Engineers are always welcome. Whatever you want to do really.
@Bell May I ask if this is still open? I'm thinking of being a chef or a janitor of some sort, seeing there are none applying for the job.

It's open but neither of those roles currently exist on the ship. And when they do I can't promise it'll be very exciting to play them.
There is something I think I need to repost as it seems to have been lost along the way.

This is where you come in. For the first time ever, Humanity is putting GUNS on their flying ships. But these ships are very special and difficult to engineer things. They can't simply slap some guns on a transport ship and call it good. They have to engineer a ship specifically designed to carry the weapons that have been created for it, and these weapons are often designed with specific types of Beasts in mind. As such, each Warship is its own dedicated thing, not meant for transporting resources or people, but rather waging war against beasts

There are no larger warships. Not yet. Frigates, which yes are very, very small, are the only warships currently active. And while I won't say it's not possible that anyone has served on one before, it would have been very recently. As the above quote says, this is the first time that Humanity has started to put guns on ships. Flying warships weren't a thing until now, and defenses against monsters relied mostly on the cities themselves and the stationary defenses they have.

And if you're wondering why some fifty years has passed and Humanity just now thought to put guns on flying ships, a thing they clearly did in the past with sea vessels, then don't worry they aren't that stupid. They did think of it, it has just taken this long to actually develop (Due to their massively limited resources and manpower), the ability to use guns on ships without issue. As said, they have to design the ships specifically for the guns. The guns themselves had to be developed, then recoil had to be learned, and you can imagine the nightmare of actually trying to TEST warships considering you can't just put it in the water and see what happens, if something goes wrong, it drops out of the sky, not just, floats around the water.

So yeah, Frigates are the only warships around at the moment.

@Gunther@Salenea@Vertigo
It had been made clear to Saharah that the people chosen for her crew had not been chosen for their history within the navy, but rather the skills that made them worthy of the missions they were setting out on. On one hand that brought her this Gunner who seemed far more suited for the job than he probably let on, or at least, for service onboard a ship. On the other hand, it brought her someone like this Helmsman, who clearly had little to no experience in the military, but was instead chosen for his skill at the helm. She would need to set some things straight.

"As everyone is present, let me make this clear. Firstly, this is a Naval vessel. I understand some of us have prior experience with military training, and some of us do not. So let's not leave any doubt. This ship will opperate as a Military vessel. Regardless of your experience, or lack thereof in such an environment, you will act accordingly. You are to address me as ma'am, or Captain. You are to salute when you address your superiors and you will show the proper respect for the chain of Command."

She took a long deep breath, hands planted on her hips. "That being said, you all were chosen by the Admiralty to be a part of this crew regardless of prior experience due to your skills that make you suitable for what we intend to do. I have no doubt a time will come that we'll be rather happy to have a Helmsman who can throw out procedure and act on instinct. But until that time comes, we will be running this ship as it was intended to be, a Military vessel. No matter how small it may seem, this is what is needed to out maneuver the beasts in the sky."

With another breath she turned on her heels and walked to the other side of the ship. It wasn't very far... "Today is a test flight. We are heading out to hunt some Devil Vulture that have been seen breaking the clouds not too far from the city. Assuming we can prove successful in hunting something like that, we can look forward to hunting more dangerous creatures."

That seemed about it for briefing, and so she turned to look at the other three gathered, the crew her life, and of course their own all rested in. "Well, enough talk. Let's get out there and kill us some Devil Vulture. Drop your things below and prep the ship for launch. We leave in ten minutes. You have that time and the proceeding flight to familiarize yourselves with your stations. Get to it!"
@Vertigo Yeah looks good, I'll get a reply up after some sleep.
P.S. you don't need to know anything about Xenoblade whatsoever to be a part of this RP.

Earth is gone, and now this new, alien world is all you have left. You crash landed here, and you have to make a home of it one way or another. You signed up for the BLADE program, feeling like you could go out into the wilderness and fight against the indigenous life forms, and protect the city, very possibly the last human city in existence.

Let me ask you some questions.

Do you like the idea of an untamed alien world, where the closest thing to a dog is the size of a schoolbus?

Do you like the idea of facing off against the wildlife Monster Hunter style, but with crazy Sci Fi weaponry ranging from your typical assault rifle, to a giant torpedo looking thing that shoots out a laser beam the size of a car?

Do you like the idea of adventuring through this alien world, going on missions and raising up your rank so you can take on better paying, more difficult missions?

Do you like the idea of perhaps even eventually piloting a 2 story tall mech Gundam style and fighting even bigger aliens with it?

Do you like on top of that, a fairly deep story that even if you know the story already (From playing the game), there's still plenty of fun to be had in how you as a group, decide to go about working your way through it?

This might just be the RP for you if any of that is the case.
