I mostly enjoy writing in the Casual section of the guild. Character development and exploring character relationships motivate me. I like to really think myself into my character and their view on others and the world around them which is why I prefer to stick to one character per roleplay. I love world-building but I am also easily overwhelmed with very detailed concepts I haven't been met with before. So you could say I love a decent amount of world-building and prefer original builds. Once everyone has settled, expanding that world and its concept is a great way to create more depth and keep me as a player hooked as I love to discover new things!

My favorite genre is and has always been fantasy. I guess you could say I love escapism to a point where I like to flee the mundane world entirely. I also feel drawn to sci-fi roleplays but I have noticed that those usually intimidate me. I feel like I am not adept at writing about technology and all that sci-fi goodness so I mostly just pine over how awesome some OOCs look and never apply to them.

When it comes to fantasy I feel right at home. For my mind, it is much easier to grasp magical concepts and worlds than sci-fi ones. As a result of this, all the worlds I write up (be it here as a GM or elsewhere) tend to be fantastical in one way or another. I especially enjoy adventure RPs and witch RPs. I like to see new magical systems and am always eager to learn more about the worlds I RP in.

Additionally, all my characters are queer, always. Since I am queer myself and can't imagine playing straight ^^

@Salsa Verde Alright! Then Meir and Mel would have been something like loose friends. I'd imagine if Sara and Meir were very close, it makes sense that at times they met with Mel to hang out, so Mel and Sara would also be lose friends or at least acquainted through Meir. What do you think @banjoanjo

Edit: They could have also been a friend group of 3 with Meir and Sara being much closer and Mel just kinda being the secondary friend.

MELANIE—@Benzaiten
I'm thinking that Melaine gained some good standing with Natalie in some PE class duo/team sport or competition thing. Then, whenever this bullying cycle began, Natalie would let any remarks from her buddies slide, but then sort of 'apologize' for her not doing anything about it AFTER the cycle ended. Let me know what you think about this.

That's totally fine with me. For Melanie's character it also could work if they'd gotten a bit closer (maybe due to getting along in PE quite fine and then seeing each other at a party or during a group project) and ended up having had sex / kissed that one time. But that's just what would work for Mel, cause she would have gone with the opportunity if presented with it. I could also see them getting along fine whenever Natalie wasn't surrounded by her other friends, so maybe they sat together in a class or two and would talk sometimes, or Natalie could have been in some group projects together with Melanie because Mel was a guaranteed way to get an A and have someone else do the entire workload. And she wouldn't even have complained about it.

@Benzaiten

I think outside of Sara, Melanie and Meir would have the most personal relationship by virtue of both having gone to MIT. Maybe it fizzled out towards the end since their majors branched off towards senior year or maybe it didn’t and they still talk regularly. Either way lmk.

Yes, I think that makes sense. Would he have been in some of her classes during MIT? Would it make sense that they sometimes sat in quiet companionship in the library or somewhere, both at Ritman and MIT, to work on their class assignments? I'm not quite sure what their relationship would have looked like. It doesn't seem like they have similar interests beside doing well in their studies.

@Salsa Verde Will there be a relations sheet we should fill out or shall we make our own sheet or shall we just discuss relations, no sheet needed ?

Aren
Interactions: Tarot, Sen Rak Location:Toremont Inn Features Used:--

"Oh beautiful, long time no see", the Changeling chimed as they stretched their sore back by pulling their arms up high above their head. The open window let in the warm morning breeze as Aren shoved their head outside to take a deep breath of air. The sun had already risen, it must be drinking hour for their companions. "Shall I find you where I usually do?", they spoke into the empty air. Aren and their companions, three lovely people - some more lovely than others -, had been summoned, so to say. And for the night, had stayed in the Toremont Inn, a two-story building even they could afford.

They put their arms on the window sill and let their head hang low, stretching those sore neck muscles. The inn was a nice enough establishment, Aren surely had seen worse. Though they had been in this area before on their travels, Aren had never stayed at this inn. At least not to their memory. The last time they came through these parts was a bit blurry. It all faded at some point. And ever since returning to this realm, Aren had not quite felt the same.

Aren pulled their head back inside. Leaving the window open for some air circulation, they headed over to the dresser which had a fresh bowl of water and a washing cloth placed atop that Aren had requested be brought up in the morning. They began to wash their face and wipe down their arms and legs a little before hopping into their usual clothes. A wide, frilly white shirt and a black leather jacket. That jacket was probably the priciest item Aren owned that was actually not stolen. Apart from their weapons perhaps which really didn't count as items to Aren, those were survival instruments.

They closed the window, swung their backpack over one shoulder and headed downstairs, curious about their new assignment and the other team that would be joining their crew. Hopefully, they had some interesting personalities amongst them. Aren swiftly moved over to the bar just as Tarot commented on their absence. They dropped their backpack down to the floor, between their stool and the bar with one foot on it just to be sure, and cheeky grinned at the bard. "I heard that." Aren gave the bard a wink as they leant on their arms, slouching against the countertop a little. "No surprise to find you two here with those in your hands." Nodding at the drinks their companions were downing. "So we're still missing our bonde tyrant", Aren used the words they had just overheard. "Any idea of what personalities are gonna be on the other team? Or on our newly fused team, I suppose."

Aren was always one who enjoyed change. It was necessary, it was interesting, it was fun. But they would have a job to do, one they would hopefully get paid for handsomely, and Aren knew that some teams struggled when asked to work together with another one. Dynamics were challenged, leaders were anxious, old tactics had to yield to new ones. Usually, such endeavors consisted of a couple of weeks of... let's say... bumpy, chaotic relationship establishment. That is saying it kindly. Aren had no idea who those other people were they were gonna work with and what their team dynamic looked like. They could be strict with a love of routine and order and rules. Not Aren's favorite work conditions. They could be slackers for all they knew. Chaotic and rash and unorganized. Maybe that was a little more Aren's style but an entire group of that would surely lead to more disaster than would be good for them. Of course, most groups had a healthy dose of everything. The moral compass, the rule observer, the chaotic one, the one who flirts their way through everything somehow. Would that be me? Ah, probably not. Most adventuring groups usually had a sneaky one, a brawl one, one with a plan, and one who fucks up the plan. For a moment, Aren wondered what categories their team members filled out. We know who the brawl one is, at least...

Zhalia was quick to leave the food tent behind them. For one, she didn't appreciate that this place would see a constant flow of people entering and leaving, disrupting the quiet she craved. And for another, she didn't think getting to know someone was easiest here. The fire would be a much calmer spot, even though it technically had more people surrounding it than the food tent.

As they weaved through the crowd, Simon asked her about settling in. Zhalia smiled. "Well, I met you." She shot him a quick glance. It was true, he was the first person she actually considered having met here. Unless you counted the Coven Head, one Miss Lina Calvo. She let out a sigh and raised her eyebrows involuntarily at the thought of that welcome greeting she had received. Her head spun around to look for the woman but she couldn't spot her at the moment. Funnily enough, that made Zhalia's stomach turn. Something about her...

"Here we are", she gestured to the open fire with her mug in hand as if there was any possibility Simon could have missed it. As they moved closer, she could feel the warmth caress her skin. Anticipation put a small smile on her lips. She had always enjoyed the warmth of a fire, sitting in the dark night with a warm drink, a soft ending to a long day.

As she walked around the fire, her eyes scanned the area for any free seats. There weren't too many seats in general as the entire thing was a makeshift situation but there were some outdoor chairs provided and some of those benches that would always squeak whenever someone would sit on them. At her coven, they would sit on wood logs and on the floor in the dirt. She quickly chased the thought away. This was not the time or place to be reminiscent. "There is some space", Zhalia pointed out. As she began moving in the general direction, heading towards the free seats, Zhalia carefully managed to actually not bump into any person this time around. She did not need to repeat the incident from earlier. One hot tea spill on her hand was enough for the night.

"I am still adjusting", she began to answer Simon's earlier question. "But it seems like a really nice place. Lina Calvo... She seems really... invested... in her people." Zhalia turned her head to look back at Simon for a moment. "How long have you been here?" She closed the last few steps towards the empty seats, shooting a shy "Hi" in the direction of the blonde woman who occupied the farther end of the bench before sitting down and scooting a little closer to make space for Simon to sit as well. "I was gonna head towards the woods in a bit to collect some herbs. It's tradition." She shrugged nonchalantly, as if it meant little to her and was just a habit, but that would've been a lie. "I know the soup is provided but I'd like to pick the herbs myself. Or at least what I can find. You're welcome to join me if you like." Zhalia brought the mug to her lips to take a sip of her tea. It had cooled down enough to not burn her anymore.
