Well... I happen to have a pretty solid idea for a character concept who I think would be ideal for a Magical Girl campaign, but I just hope I haven't tried joining the fun too late.

Thought of a character based on Alice in Wonderland, prone to flights of fancy and having abilities like "Down the Rabbit Hole" (short range teleportation), "white rabbit dream familiar" (dreams forth a small familiar, too weak for frontline combat, but useful for spying ahead), and "dance of the mad hatter" (traps the opponent in quasi-real hallucinatory visions born from their fears, causing physical and mental damage.
Ah, @ALonelyParrot, the best times I can think are about 10:00 to perhaps 12:00 or so during Saturday and/or Sunday evenings (that would be 3:00 - 5.00 in the afternoon for someone living in Texas). That okay for you?
All right. Which edition of WHRP do we play with? I'm most accustomed to the rules of 2E.

The two character concepts that I've been weighing between are the foppish Marienburger with unwholesome hobbies or an overenthusiastic priest (or maybe even a pit fighter) to whom the concept of an "indoor voice" is an alien notion. Hamtastic to the max, "JUSTICE!" and all that.

The latter might be more appropriate to a Witch hunter's crew, though a morbid fop could make for an entertaining clash of philosophies.

Additional note: Will send the character in on the evening of the 18th. Am currently writing his equipment, description, and backstory. His Characteristics, career, and weaponry have been decided.
Marcus strode forth and made a light and graceful bow to Sasha (@Amastacia), saying "- I'm Marcus, a Púca of the Seelie Court. Pleasing to meet you, miss," all while glancing over his shoulder in a mix of mild surprise and amusement at how many of his fellow students were leaving the classroom. The energy and rule-bending behaviour of youth was apparently universal to all species.

"How come, if I may ask, that you came to attend this school?", directing the question as much to to Jason and Emily (@Vampiretwilight), as he did to Sasha- "For my part, I was sent from my clan's freehold in Brittany to tie new contacts for my people. Few of the European Fae remain outside of the British Isles, save for the Leshy in Russia."
Of course, most Fae could shapeshift and a fair number of them hid among the human populace, but constant hiding and watchfulness was tiring in the long run, even for beings who did not suffer from disease or old age. Fae who did not stay vigilant could fall for the cold iron of mortal hunters or treacherous Unseelie kin.

Hafner's brazen use of sorcery was surprising to him. The Fae made it a habit to keep their magical secrets to themselves and use them sparingly and candidly, but he felt tempted to accompany the troublemakers to the library to learn more.

An interesting concept. Will it happen per Discord or per forum post?
Hm, this could be tricky for me to find the right hour of the day, since I'm about seven hours ahead of Texas time. Is there a way to handle this without it being detrimental to you? I'd still very much like to participate.
Marcus couldn’t help feeling mildly surprised that the first person to spaz out in class was one of the mortals, but then realized that a human, xenophobic or not, would be getting a little nervous when surrounded by powerful supernatural creatures with the capability – if not the intention – of reducing him to a dark red stain or heap of ash with minimal effort.
An already unstable person would go over the edge all too easily... whose idea had it been to send him here?

Marcus had at least enough presence of mind to answer Sasha’s question: “- I think we should stick together and try to get along, so we have someone we can trust when… unexpected... scenes like these happen. It would be pretty pathetic if the grand experiment meant for peace and tolerance had to end because of some incident happening on the first day.” He twiddled his fingers a little nervously at his last words.

He did not openly state his last thought: an openly loony person would at least be easier to avoid than someone who was crazy in secret.
He felt tempted to dream-read the boy when next night comes, but decided against it; some people’s minds could be dangerous to contact.
At least nobody else had shown any signs of insanity or really boorish manners thus far, though it was clear not all students took the classes as seriously.
I am not sure.
I already have three characters.

perhaps we can take turns with him, since he may be turned into an npc? how does that sound?

That's actually kinda brilliant, since that would fit in perfectly with Jasper's rather unhinged and volatile personality. It would make his behaviour worryingly (and/or hilariously) random.
@Dumb1And1Lazy @Sanity43217, @Vampiretwilight, I have a suggestion, or in the immortal words of the Great Baldrick: "I have a cunning plan..."

Since Dumb1And1Lazy leaves the game, I suggest that his characters can become practical NPCs, under the control of the GM (i.e. Vampiretwilight).
Jasper in particular can be great for use as a some kind of recurring villain in plain sight (or at least a morally ambiguous fellow. Time will tell how he'll turn out, but judging from his "training" and overall behaviour, Jasper seemed plenty indoctrinated and will need a triple-whammy of the Power of Friendship to drop his distrust of supernaturals).

If Dumb1And1Lazy wants to return to the game later on, then he could just resume control of his characters.
How does that sound for a (hopefully friction-free) solution? As long as it doesn't become too many chars for Vampiretwilight to handle.
Grand, @Jbcool. Look's like we've built up a nice foundation for the campaign. Only thing that leaves me a little concerned is how it would work to use Discord for the RP, since some of us might live in very different time zones. I'd suggest that we either play by post, or share our GTM time zones and plan Discord sessions ahead in time.
