Soon-to-be bride/groom:
Personality: Luna is a happy and cheerful girl for the most part. She takes joy in reading and dreaming about adventure and all the wonders the world might hold. She is respectful of very few authorities, her mentor Evaristus being the primary one, and will sometimes respond with sarcasm if given commands or orders, a trait she is beginning to pick up from her mentor. Despite this she has a fairly convincing innocent girl act when she actually ties it. She tends to be a bit absent minded at times, and by that I mean when it really matters. She will often find her mind wandering off on adventures when she needs to study or even in the middle of a performance.

She was born Lelia Serathos, the first daughter of a powerful noble house. She had always been restless, sneaking off, going on adventures, much to her parents dismay. They did everything they could to cover up their daughter's wild nature. When she was fourteen she finally decided to run away. Or was kidnapped depending on who you ask. He parents stick firmly to the story that she was kidnapped by a traveling group of performers, when in reality she had befriended a younger boy from a group fitting that description and he had helped her get out. Luna spent the next few years traveling wherever she could, always staying one step ahead of her family. Eventually after two years of searching they declared her dead. The performers, at first angry about the kid helping her escape and potentially getting them killed, but soon she grew to fit in. She had an excellent talent for music, and performance and with only a little bit of training she became a great asset for them. Three years she traveled with them, then she met the magician Evaristus. He had no real supernatural powers, but with some of his tricks he might as well. Luna was entranced by him, and through much persistence on her part, convinced him to apprentice her. He taught her many slight of hand tricks and ways to misdirect the audience. She picked up on those a bit quicker than most, though she is best at singing still so that is what she usually sticks to. Evaristus tried teaching her chemistry at one point, but that ended in disaster and he refuses to try again no matter how much she begs.

Crythos approached the passed out kid, muttering something about not being too bad for a kid. He bent down and quickly checked him to make sure he was just passed out and not dead, or worse. Seeing that he was fine he motioned for one of the other students to help their classmate, taking note of who stepped up first as he would have to reward them later. "Alright. That was an interesting start, and a good demonstration of your first lesson. Know your limits. Never draw in too much power, or Aether. I'm sure many of you already know this but it will be drilled into your heads, as it should be, Aether is inherently chaotic. It will damage your body when you draw it through yourself. If you keep the amount you draw each day limited you will be fine. Minor damage will repair itself easily enough. Draw too much though and instead of just falling unconscious you will have your organs liquified and boiled. Anyway next? how about you?" He pointed to a dark skinned boy. Raghu or something like that.
I get a bit annoyed when I am gming a game, and I spend lots of time developing and creating a setting, and someone just posts a character with a backstory including an entirely different region or culture that their character is from that I didn't have in my setting. I know that role playing is collaborative and everything and I think it's great that they want to create a unique character, but It annoys me more that they didn't even run it by me first. It just feels so presumptuous and entitled to me that someone thinks they can walk in and insert something into my world then expect me to just accept it and their character. The disappointing thing for me is that usually I like their ideas too, and I would be happy to include them if they ran them by me via pm, and we could develop how it actually fit into my setting together instead of just throwing it in.
"How dare they attack an imperial noble." the red haired boy mutters in the imperial tongue shooting glares back at the gulls. Then looking up at the girl putting her arm around him, curiously. He stiffens as her arm goes around him. Most likely wondering why a commoner is helping him out. "Who?" he asks, in the common language, his speech heavily accented.

"The test is simple." Crythos explains, "The first thing you need to do is to pick a spell, something you can do with magic, anything really, and explain to me how you cast it. Go through each of the steps and describe what's happening. After you are done with that then you will demonstrate by casting it. Now you are lucky, because you are going first. I will not accept repeats from the rest of you, so if someone takes your spell you better think of something else"
I can make a lady too if that would be good. I have some ideas
Alright done!
"I'm Martin" the boy who had kicked the seagull said, "And this is Aime. She doesn't hear too well. So you probably shouldn't talk to her." he put a hand on the girl's shoulder and then bent down to whisper something in her ear, and she looks up to everyone and gives a wide friendly smile.

Crythos leads you through town, past a large inn, the only building in town that seems to be more than one floor high, titled the Sword and Sword Inn. On the other side of the street you see an old blacksmith. A little further down an old woman sitting in front of her rundown little shack looks up from her knitting to give you a warm smile. The town is just starting to wake up. You are led all the way through town, through huge iron fence surrounding the grounds around the tower, but it looks incredibly small next to the tower itself. Everything does. The tower grows larger and larger as you approach, until you are standing right next to it and it seems to go up and up into the sky forever. The slight glow of the tower baths your face in warmth like the sun on a cold day, and all of you can feel the constant hum of magic permeating this place.

Crythos turns to face you all "Here we are. I will be testing you all before you will be permitted to access the tower." he reaches down and picks up a small grey set of ropes, "Once you pass the test, and don't worry it is not hard so you all should pass, you will be given these. They are your apprentice robes, they identify your rank and position within the college and they are also enchanted to allow you access to the main floors of the tower. I'll start with you Apollo. The rest of you may go claim a bed," he motioned to a pair of identical buildings to the edge of the Tower grounds, "Boys are on the right, girls are on the left. Get settled in, and I will send for you when it is your turn."

3. Just as saying "There is no God" is Atheistic. If "You die for Christianity!" Is killing for religion, "You die for Communism!" Is killing for Atheism.

Wouldn't that be killing for Communism then? I know it's a minor nitpick as Communism, at least the version you are referring to here is very atheistic. But this is like saying Christians during the crusades killed for Theism. Which would be incorrect as they were killing for their particular brand of Theism. The victims of communist dictators were killed because they believed in a god, yes, but it was the Communist ideology that led to them to be put to death not the concept of Atheism.

The point still stands that both religious and non-religious ideologies have committed horrible atrocities. Religion is not required to make people into monsters, but a religious belief in anything does tend to lead to these sorts of things as it gives people a means to justify their actions, and it gathers together large groups of people who are often times supposed to unquestioningly follow a certain leader, and for obvious reasons this is at least somewhat required for most large scale atrocities. I mean religious belief here as an unquestioning loyalty to something, not necessarily as a belief in a god by the way.

Just my two cents.
