Hi!

Candy or Candice is fine. I've RP'd a lot between friends but sometimes I just feel like having someone new and fresh to play with, which is why this forum is nice.

My RP interests:

Middle Ages, Ancient history, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Western, Horror, Futuristic, Slice of Life, Romance. Pretty much anything if it's done well.

A few other things you might want to know

- I keep what I write as legible as I can and expect the same love from my partner.

- Mature content is fine, but the story comes first... unless it is the story.

- Blood and guts are okay but it should be done well.

- I prefer to RP with guys.

- I like a lot of genres and Era's: Ancient History, Fantasy, Medieval, Western, Horror, Sci-Fi, Futuristic, Slice of Life, Romance and more (no anime, furry, or extreme fetish please).

- I'm a young adult, but I'm not skittish or easily offended. I prefer for people to be forward with me. Just as long as you respect my wishes, I will respect yours as well. Please don't be shy. Speak your mind.

- I don't expect fast responses every day or every hour or anything like that. Long as you are somewhat consistent, then you can take your time and enjoy it.

- Please don't start an RP with me unless you're are committed. I know Real Life can sometimes make things unpredictable, but I do appreciate it when someone joins an RP with the best intentions in mind, not just join because you might be bored shitless for the next few days or something like that lol.

- I'm inclined to play via PM, but if you really have a hankering to go open then that could be arranged.

If you're interested in RPing with me, go ahead and send me a PM with ideas! :)

Friendly chats and hello's are also welcome.

No problems at all.

I agree with you Gain, after a snooze I've decided to throw in a little background to my mystery girl, if only for an extra few benefits of your own, give you some idea as to why I'm keeping her details more... classified, for now. But yeah, I woke with a fresh perspective, so let's see what I can pull together at periodic times over the next 12 hours or so. and naturally, adding details to the character profile in the future would work a charm. I may be a little behind on you in regards to an opening post, so don't push me, I have a little bit of action going on outside of this site, as you do too. No rush, let's just enjoy it at our leisure :) I also have a few Abbreviations I wanna post here a little later that you could possibly work into your own scheme if you so choose. With that said, I've gotta get to work.

Have fun!

I have just one thing to say about your Character profile, ELGainsborough... That's just awesome!

I wasn't actually expecting such a big character, but I guess I should have coming from you. I've been busy with rl stuff myself today so I don't know when I'm gonna get my character finished. I also might be taking a bit of a different approach to the situation than you, since I'm considering leaving a lot about my girl a mystery for now. Maybe. Hopefully I can get it posted tomorrow. Somehow I managed to screw up my first attempt.

But I really like your Ed a lot. He's great!

Delu Shaim

Delu Shaim was 21 years of age when she embarked on the STS Discovery, destination Locus. Although her Personnel Profile dictates she was born in the small city of Marion, Kansas, there would be found no one in Marion who would recall such a girl. Her birthplace, as were a number of specification on her personnel records, was falsified, yet not of her own doing. Delu’s parents are unknown, or be it classified, and she came into the world by no likely means. Her existence is accredited to CSE’s Scientific Research Center, who were secretly commissioned, with the approval of the WS Supreme Council, by the Executive Administrator of Elysium Prime. This was not considered an experiment, however, but a deliberate and exacting project to create a very specific strain of human with the new and highly classified development of Genome Technology. Much alike the STS Discovery that was to come, Delu would become the first of her kind, and, at least for the time being, the CSE’s dirty little secret.

The purpose behind the creation of Delu was simple, to create a woman with not only the heightened instinctual traits of a woman, but to also combine those traits with a great number of unlocked human abilities that would, in future ages, aid in the preservation of mankind. In effect, Delu was constructed to be the perfect protector, caregiver and reproductive system. The ultimate human Female. If no complications came of Delu’s introduction to the word, at least nothing that couldn’t be easily fixed, the secret would be revealed to the people of Earth and a superior race of human kind would be thereafter established.

The first 6 months of Delu’s life was spent in a maturation chamber, and from there raised by a number of specialist specifically qualified and sworn to secrecy in the aiding of her development, education and other specialized training. At the age of 17, Delu was released from the confines of her quarters in Elysium Prime’s head research facility, and under strict observation was sent to Earth to broaden her knowledge in Nebraska’s World Sovereignty IAA (Interstellar and Astronomical Academy), where she excelled at the top of her class in every manner of subject and exercise. On account of her remarkable achievements, she graduated early and, under direct instruction from the CSE, served as Ensign for a year on the Space Station Elysium, where she went on to successfully complete various Special Operations, normally befitting those well beyond her status and rank.

In 2097, the unprecedented discovery of Kepler, later to be named LOCUS, opened up a new world of possibilities for Delu in the minds of the CSE administration. A year later, upon the completed construction of STS Discovery, a conference was held between the higher ranks of administration in the CSE and WS Supreme Council to discuss Delu’s future. After careful considerations it was decided that her talents were no less perfect for a mission of magnitude and importance that the discovery of Locus provided. It was their intention, though not specified in the mission parameters, to begin colonization of Locus, and Delu was naturally perfect for such a task. In a sense, that’s exactly what she was created for -

Unbeknownst to the officers chosen to take part in the journey to Locus, the majority of men were selected not only for the distinction in their field of expertise, but also for their particular genealogical traits, in the high probability that they would in time be suitable prospects in the role of colonization by way of explicit reproduction. The members of the conference were, of course, not blind to the high possibility that such plans of colonization could fail in the face of possible perils during the mission. Such perils could also put their great asset, Delu into jeopardy, but Delu’s successful growth, free of any major complications, had already set the ball rolling in the preparations of creating further subjects like herself, both male and female - and if in fact those objectives of colonizing Locus did fail, Delu clearly remained a prime candidate for taking part in the mission. If nothing else, her superior human abilities and intellect would serve a distinguished role in the protection and order of her fellow crewmen.

Thus, the decision was made, Delu became the 28th member of the STS Discovery.

Regardless of CSE having furthered their plans to develop more humans like Delu in light of her successful introduction to the world, they were not yet ready to disclose this information to the citizens of Earth. Therefore her primary assignment on the mission was kept secret. There were only three members of the crew made aware of her primary directives, those being herself, the Captain, and first officer.

Delu’s Disposition

The only people in a position to provide any in-depth account of Delu’s personality, were the handful of scientists and specialized doctors that raised her, but you can be sure that their opinion of Delu would be more of an analytical diagnostic than anything relatable to the layman. There otherwise isn’t a great deal of public opinion involving Delu’s personality, most existing community views stand as nothing more than pure speculation, as she hadn’t take part in a broad range of social activities or personal relationships. The professors, scholars and other mentors of the IAA might be able to supply standard and concurring reports, something along the lines of ‘hard working, intelligent, overachieving, punctual and overall congenial yet detached demeanor’, but it wouldn’t be fully accurate and far from compositing any comprehensive depiction of her personality. The same would stand for those she worked near in her time served as Ensign on board the Space Stations Elysium; her roles there were widely removed from common practice and general populous involvement. On a whole, despite commonly being in view of the community, Delu led a somewhat reserved, or what one might even be inclined to call, a lonely existence.

The problem was that affiliations of a personal nature, such as the ties of friendship or more intimate relations, were an obvious threat to CSE’s need to contain their secret about Delu. Her interactions in the community were closely monitored and under escort of direct transmission based communication. As one might imagine, for a girl that was specifically engineered to be an evolved and perfect mate for man, these regulations created some conflicting issues with the development of Delu’s disposition.

The most prevalent issue associated with Delu’s lack of experience in social conduct and personal relationships, is that it didn’t provided her with the stimulus needed in the proper development of her personal growth. Though many intricacies of her personality would be products of her engineered genetic construct, many such traits have yet to mature and, in some cases, be discovered.

- An example of a specific anomalous side effect to aforementioned condition, was Delu’s increasing tendency for capricious expression. In many cases these recurrent moments of erratic behavior came across as confronting, offensive, even shocking to the recipient, and was speculated to be a possible unscrupulous attempt at humor on Delu’s part, perhaps a way to ease the tension of her understandably frustrating existence. When Hannah Preston, the behavioral scientist assigned to Delu’s case, requested that she give her own account on the reasoning behind this behavior, Delu simply replied with no indication of aversion or defined position on the matter; saying; ‘Do you ever have the urge to defecate in your own bed?’ Suffice to say, the reasoning behind these capricious moments was never clearly defined -

Strengths

A specialized examination performed on Delu at the age of 18, produced some very promising results, said results being adherent to the ambitions of the scientist who created her.

Fortitude.

One of the foremost promising results of this examination was Delu’s ability to remain calm and in control of her faculties under pressure. Though she possessed a full array of human emotion, beside those of embarrassment and shame, her ability to remain calm in the face of extreme peril while maintaining her superior problem-solving ability was unparalleled.

Sensory perception.

Delu has enhanced olfactory, visual and auditory acuity. Her olfactory sense allows her to pick up emissions akin to that of a bear, also possessing the ability, unlike other humans, to be alerted by scents while sleeping. Her clarity of vision is extraordinary, being able to spot a rodent sized animal from several miles away, in conjunction with temperature sensing organs within the bridge of her nose to pick up on fluctuations in thermal emissions. Her Auditory prowess, however, was discovered to perhaps be the most outstanding of the three; her hearing fell within the range of 20Hz – 75,000Hz, with the added capacity to allocate, coordinate, and fluctuate the admission of all and any vibrations within this range.

Immune structure.

It was a pleasure for all scientists involved in Delu’s construction to find a heightened immune system allows Delu to resist the majority diseases known to man, including that of the common cold, as well as having an exceptional resistance to toxins. One specific test toxic used in this demonstration was Arsenic, which had little to no effect on her system.

In addition to her heightened immunity, Delu had developed unexpected ability to regulate her body’s core temperature to a spectacular degree without breaking a sweat. It was uncertain, however, if this specific ability was something she was born with, or something she developed over time. Not only does this enhanced self-regulation grant her the ability to withstand extreme weather conditions, Delu could very well come out smelling like the proverbial rose after days without bathing

Physical Prowess.

Delu’s appearance is misleading, as was anticipated. Her petite physical parameters in combination with her superlative muscle and bone density provides added physical strength and agility, while her superior neurotransmitter and nervous system decreases response time. At peak efficiency, she was recorded to have lifted 5X that her own body weight, and was clocked at a staggering 20.83206Mps (74.9Kph/46.6Mph) running speed. As mentioned, these results were anticipated in the construction of her genetic pattern, and also the reason Delu was aptly given the last name ‘Shaim’ on her fifth birthday, which is a Muslim name meaning, a person that is fast.

(That about sums up the main mentionable strengths. ‘Other’ special abilities, more befitting of a different category, will be brought to light as the RP unfolds.)

Delu’s noted likes:

- Classical music, in particular Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.
- The ocean
- Swimming.
- Fried buttered Mushroom.
- The color turquoise.
- Men.

Delu’s noted dislikes:

- Being alone.
- Turkish delight.
- Rejection.
- Women.

Delu's Cherished items:

- Elephant Plushy named Elephant.

Trivial Things to Know About Delu.

Flattery will get you everywhere, Mr. Gains. And thanks!

I'm looking forward to seeing how the RP will play out - and nah, *sticks a knife in your modesty* and I don't believe you'll have any trouble keeping up. As for the Characters, I'm still wrestling to get one together myself. I'm interested to see what you come up with as well.

All good.

LOCUS

Earth 2.0

Introductory

Elysium is a space station located at the perimeter of Earth’s solar system, constructed to facilitate exploration of deep space, also serving as an extension to the space colony known as Elysium Prime. On Earth date 2097 AD. Elysium’s galactic scanning array gathered readings of a planetary body. This planetary body was initially allocated as Kepler 452b, and described to be a large cousin to our own Planet Earth. After further scans of the planet confirms its status, it is renamed Locus, and a mission of exploration is set into motion.

In the year 2098, a vessel by the name of STS Discovery, is launched from HMS Rhapsody (the representative city ship of Elysium and Elysium Prime). STS Discovery was the first of its kind, designed for subspace travel; needed for this specific mission. This new and not yet perfected subspace travel technology, however, had a couple of downsides. The first being that a small, specifically designed vessel was required, and also a ‘host’, which is where the Rhapsody came into play. The Rhapsody was fitted with what was referred to as a Hub. To put it simply, the hub was designed to open an aperture in subspace, one adequate to accommodate a vessel of specific dimensions, then catapult said vessel through the aperture, into subspace, and deposit it at the intended destination. The second downside to this technology was, basically, that any journey would be a one way trip.

Despite noted downsides, the mission was turning out to be a success. STS Discovery was launched on schedule and a few hours later, since subspace transmission were a great deal easier than actual subspace travel, the Rhapsody received a transmission, stating the crew had arrived at the intended coordinates. Unfortunately, after that point, STS Discovery was never heard from again. To make matters worse, in the closing of Discovery’s first and final transmission, all readings Elysium had been receiving from Locus were severed from sensor analysis. It was like the planet just somehow…. Vanished.

*************

11000 lightyears away, the crew of STS Discovery, after signalling Rhapsody of their successful arrival, traveled at impulse to what was believed to be the planets exact coordinates, only to find an unfamiliar spatial anomaly awaiting them instead. Panicked by their findings, the crew try desperately to contact Rhapsody once again, but have no success. Within seconds the ships systems fail and STS Discovery is seized by unknown forces that subsequently deposits the vessel above Locus - at its true location in the farther reaches of the galaxy. Unable to regain control of ships systems, STS Discovery and her crew of 28, spiral toward the surface….

This RP idea, as specified in the introductory, was a collaboration of both myself and ELGainsborough.

Btw, I haven't joined any open RP threads yet because partly I don't really know what to do about that yet, and also it seems a little intimidating to me at this point. So in the meantime, if anyone thinks they might like to RP with me one on one, feel free to send me a PM! Just say'n. Ok... well....

Now, now, there's no sense in fighting over Candy.

bites lip thoughtfully

Maybe there's an easy way of settling this? It's always nice to share your Candy with others, after all.

Hey candy, I'm the dentist of this guild.

O-My! Poor little me isn't sure why you would mention such a thing.... Perhaps you saw the condition of my pearly whites and found yourself enamored... or, perhaps, you are aiming to brutalize me with your tiny drill, you terrible, terrible beast!

Greetings Stranger,

* * * * * * * *

I’m not surprised to see your kind here. Many adventurers have traveled this way since the recent troubles had passed. No doubt you’ve heard about the tragedy that befell the community here at the Guild. Some say that the Guildfall, bane of role players, is slowly enveloping the community once again. I don’t know if I believe that, but I have noticed from time to time that posts or players will mysteriously disappear. They disappear without word and without notice, hidden by the leaders of our community. Maybe it’s nothing. But rumors and sideways glances seems to trail in their wake. You see, shortly before Guildfall had occurred similar disappearances were common as well and strange rumor began to ravage even the most common parts of the guild. But until more evidence is uncovered I’ll remain here within this community and so should you. You’ll find interesting role play ideas across all the various topics categories here on the Guild and a few of mine or ones that I participate in as well. However, I would make sure you save your own information before the shadow that fell over the Guild before the fall once again consumes us all. But if you’re still alive before then, I’ll be more than happy to accommodate any role playing needs you may have if I can.

I just wanted to say, since I didn't have time for more yesterday, that I really enjoy this type of character.
