How fucked up yet unsurprising is it that I don't even know what I want? I miss us, but I want to move on, but I want you back, but I want you to find someone else. Why is love so complicated?

Fun, friends, parties and girls galore. It's like the world really is my oyster now. But you were the pearl. As cheesy as that sounds.

I love and miss you terribly. Get well soon :)

Name: Corey G. McAllister
Age: 21
Appearance:
Nickname: Big Bro
Scars: Small slices across his torso and legs from shrapnel wounds, the occasional knife wound across his forearms
Tattoos: US Flag tattoo on right shoulder, Christian cross tattoo on left pectoral, number 5 hashmark on left forearm, Rattlesnake coiled around right forearm
Outfit: Tan cargo pants, black t-shirt, denim jacket
Problem/Addiction: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Background Type: The Veteran
Biography: Corey grew up in Aidensville's northern side though most of his friends were from the south part of town. A mature and compassionate young man, he never fit in well with other teens from his neighborhood and frequently found himself spending time alone or with one of his family's dogs. At the age of 17, Corey enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Security Forces trooper both to pay for college and because military service was something of a tradition for the men in his family. A few years into his tour of duty, he cross trained into the Security Forces' K9 Division where he was assigned an explosives sniffing German Shepherd-Belgian Malinois mix named Magnus who became his close companion and pet from then on. After their training and with a few months of experience stateside under their belts, Corey and Magnus were deployed to Afghanistan and attached to a US Army unit, searching for IEDs and occasionally suicide bombers. They served for a year without issue until one day, during a routine search, Magnus sniffed out an IED inside a small building. As the pair and their Army escorts were evacuating the structure, the bomb detonated, leveling the building and seriously injuring Magnus, Corey and a young soldier whom Corey had befriended. Corey and Magnus spent the next month in the hospital while the soldier's injuries proved to be fatal. Afterwards, both the Airman and his K9 were diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and not long after, discharged from the Air Force. Corey was able to adopt Magnus afterwards as both a pet and a sort of therapy dog. Moving back to Aidensville, Corey found that he simply didn't fit in with the trivial and often insincere personalities around him, now more than ever. So he moved to neighboring Beyersville for a short time and became involved in underground street and knife fighting, unable to find a job elsewhere. Once he'd made a decent amount of money (and after coming close to losing one time too many) Corey moved back to Aidensville again. It wasn't long after his return home that Corey befriended a few other misfits like himself and essentially started the group now known as the Outcasts. Since then, he has become something of an older brother figure to the group and Magnus their mascot.

In the small town of Aidensville, South Carolina exists a (mostly) happy and carefree population. On the northern side of the city, most families are thoroughly middle class and live without fear of crime or disturbance. The teen population attend John Aiden High School, where they receive a top notch education, (among the higher scoring in the region) and have no shortage of extracurricular activities to occupy their time. On sundays, the majority of the city packs together inside one of several churches for various denominations and enjoy a peaceful weekend of fellowship with their neighbors.

On the southern edge of the city however, life is much bleaker. The southside of Aidensville is basically a ghetto with a smattering of long abandoned warehouses and meth cook infested trailers. The youth of south Aidensville tend to drop out of school at a young age, either to work doing menial labor to support their family or to take up a life of crime. The poverty wracked families in the area (basically all of them that aren't involved in crime somehow) struggle with various addictions, depression and domestic violence. The thinly spread Police Department has just enough men to keep the peace in the northern part of the city and because of this, they have a very small presence in the trailer parks and ghetto, showing up only when called (which is rare as the people from the southside prefer to handle things themselves)

This tale focuses on one particular group of young people from all over Aidensville that struggle to fit in or function with the rest of society in one way or another. Called the "Outcasts" this band of misfits and renegades can usually be found hanging around the empty warehouses and dive bars of southern Aidensville or in the back corner of the northside's little cafes and diners. The little gang has been together for a few months now with no objective other than having fun and helping each other deal with their problems.

Now, my predicament, we need some actual people to fill out the gang. Below is the character list and a list of backgrounds/character types I'd really like to see portrayed. You may pick whatever you want for your character however. The RP will be divided into episodes with each episode focusing on the gang helping one character deal with some problem or conflict as well as their respective problem/addiction etc. We will only be accepting a total of six players.

Characters

Corey McCallister-The Veteran (Cpt Shelton)
Riley Abrams-The Self Harmer (AnnaBeth)
Ara El Khouri-The Addict (Leviathan)
Howard Pollock-The Abuse Survivor (Voltus_Ventus)
Declan Murphey-The Criminal (Nevermind)
Alexandra Pavlenko-The Runaway (Liriia)
Madison Ranger-The Prostitute (FuriePhoenix)

We currently are full character wise, if you're a skilled RPer and you REALLY want to join, PM me your CS and I will consider making an extra spot for you. Also, I will accept volunteers to play secondary characters/antagonists as the RP progresses

Rules

Erase all the notes in parentheses on the CS when you submit it or it will be automatically denied
Be polite to the other players, I will kick you if I think you're being an ass
Be respectful and mindful of the real struggles we'll be portraying fictitiously
Only experienced roleplayers will be accepted, if your grammar sucks and you can't string together a readable paragraph you'll be denied.
Leviathan we should still have room for you.

By the way, I'd like this group of friends to be younger people, between 16 and 24 so Big Sister AM if you could shorten your character's bio a little he'd fit right in. This RP will take place in a small town somewhere in the US, probably either in the mid west or the south.

So I had an idea (dangerous I know) for a roleplay. We would each play a member of a small group of close friends (about 6 or so) who are all basically outcasts due to their various problems. An example of some characters I'd like to see would be a veteran with PTSD, a teen boy with abusive parents, an addict of some kind, someone who self harms, a criminal with a rough home life, etc.
The RP would probably be divided into episodes with each episode covering the group (known as the Outcasts) overcoming some conflict or threat from each respective member's background. Some examples.
The criminal has the police after him for some serious crime he didn't commit and the group has to prove his innocence.
The abuse victim publicly accuses his parents of beating him but no one believes him and the group has to help him deal with it, one way or another.
The veteran loses his job and has nowhere to stay and someone in the group takes him in (perhaps romance ensues?) and helps him back on his feet.
The cutter's parents try to have her committed to a rehab center that is really only after her/his parents' money and the gang helps her escape.

Each episode will have different solutions to the problems, some more moral than others. And each episode the group will try to help that respective member with his/her problem (maybe kicking an addiction or finding ways to cope with some other mental/psychological problem)

I'll leave you guys some creative freedom with your characters, but I would like to see some of the personalities aforementioned largely because I think they'd be really interesting. There will only be 6 main characters and I will be playing one and reserving a spot for another player (for now)
so I'll be accepting four applications AND on an episode-by-episode basis I'll accept players for the antagonists/supporting characters.

What say ya'll?
I just pmed him. If he doesn't reply, who wants to play as the slavers?
If so, whichever one of you is controlling the slavers needs to do a quick post describing their camp.
I like that plan Fortunes, everybody wanna roll with it?
I'm a bad person for forgetting you all existed (again) so I apologize for my shittiness. I shall attempt to post. What I'd like to see is our characters that have interacted thus far forming a new group to survive and track down the slavers.
Wha's shakin' bacon? I'm baaaack!
Also, hellllooo Boog and welcome back. If you want to join the RP, you have my endorsement. You'll have to either create a new character OR provide a way for Rusty to have escaped from the burning safehouse and bandits at the end of the last RP as well as explain how he survived alone up till this point.

also, I apologize for my absence yall.
