That's a damn good way of putting it. But I don't want it to be over.

How fucked up yet unsurprising is it that I don't even know what I want? I miss us, but I want to move on, but I want you back, but I want you to find someone else. Why is love so complicated?

Fun, friends, parties and girls galore. It's like the world really is my oyster now. But you were the pearl. As cheesy as that sounds.

I love and miss you terribly. Get well soon :)

I finally forced out a fairly short opening post. Now, have at it ladies and gents!
Aidensville, North Carolina
(sometime in early fall)

Mick's Diner was one of just a few quaint little restaurants and businesses in Aidensville that the Outcasts frequented. Mick, a fellow war veteran, was on good terms with Corey and allowed his group to hang out and eat without harassment, unlike many of the other, more conservative businesses in town. The majority of the businessmen and merchants that inhabited the town regarded them just as the general populace did. Trash, criminals, undesirables and dangerous. Bad for business as well. Mick's catered to more out-of-town clientele than anywhere else so he could afford the negative stigma the Outcasts brought with them.

Corey and his rabble, as usual, set in the far back corner of the diner, clustered around a little table with Magnus laying by their feet. Corey pinched a piece off of his burger and dropped into the awaiting dog's mouth, who inhaled it happily. They'd convened today to decide whether or not their newest acquaintance, Riley, should be made a part of the group. The Outcasts tended to attract the rebellious teens of Aidensville but in most cases they were either disgruntled because their parents actually enforced some rules at home OR because they were little crybabies and nobody "got" them. Riley was no poser nor a moody teen, her troubles were genuine and her longing for companionship the same as everyone else's. So, they'd agreed she should be inducted into the group. Traditionally, they'd take new members out for some over-the-top (and illegal) party to celebrate. Tonight was no different.

"Well ladies and gentlemen,"
Corey began, finishing off his soda,
"I believe it's time we celebrate the adoption of our new family member."
He glanced at his watch and smiled,
"The party at the scrapyard should be starting right about now. Everybody up for it?"
Magnus rose and barked softly though enthusiastically.

The old scrapyard on the south side of Aidensville played host to all manner of illegal activities on Saturday nights. People bet on illegal fights, got wasted and took part in the fights, got high and had sex in pretty much any remotely secluded spot (usually) and often times woke up the next morning somewhere unfamiliar without remembering how they got there. It was the epitome of a hard party, especially when some of the gangs and families in the south side went toe to toe in the little scrapyard arena.
"If all goes according to plan, the meeting point will be atop the hill of bullet riddled bodies we create. If things break down, we'll meet back at the vehicles."
He then signed to Shan slowly, "I don't want you too close to the fighting. But we do need every shooter in the fight..."
He paused in thought for a moment.
"I don't trust any of the others enough to watch your back so you'll come with me into the fight. But I expect you to hang back a little and not do anything too risky. You can lead all the slaves that can't fight back to safety."
He finished, dropping his hands to his sides.
"Okay, Jack, if you think you're up to it, I'd like you to take the rifle and give us sniper cover. Claire can watch your back. Once their sentries are down and you've done all you can do, you guys will jog down and join us. I'll lead the tip of the spear on the actual attack. So that leaves me, Shan, Travis and James for the main attack. We've got plenty of time until tomorrow, so let's find somewhere secluded to make our camp and I'll give you guys a crash course in guerilla warfare and small unit tactics."
I love the idea. But how about a smaller, covered bridge?

Now, as stated previously (since there's been no objections) we'll be starting off with the gang hanging out in a little diner, getting acquainted with Riley. They will then take her out for a night of hard partying to sort of initiate her into the gang. The group will then go out to a rave/fight club and raise hell for a little while.

Note, this won't be Riley's first introduction to the group because that would take too long. We'll assume she's been hanging out with the group a little bit for the past week or so and that this is the night she actually JOINS the group.
Have him be a prisoner and write a cool death scene for James once the shooting starts. Something believable, like, he literally just gets shot by a random guy and bleeds out in a few seconds.
I'm contemplating killing a few characters actually. Everyone needs to reply in the IC real quick.
Now, to start off with let's have the group hanging out in a diner or something in the evening and then have them head off to some underground fight club/rave that night and see what mischief we can cause. Any suggestions?
Good idea guys,

Corey's opinions

Howard Pollock: He sympathizes with him and feels fairly protective over the younger, meeker boy and hopes to become fairly close to him in the future. Corey has always wanted a little brother.

Riley Abrams: He also feels fairly protective over her and tries to give encouragement, support and an ear/shoulder when possible.

Madison Ranger: He is often annoyed by her bitter personality but tries to remain patient and avoid returning her violent outbursts (which is difficult given his disorder) he knows its not completely her fault and that she's had a hard life, but he still has to work at being patient with her.

Declan Murphey: Corey thinks of Declan as a kindred spirit, a brother, a fellow warrior. He relates with his background of violence and loss and being of Scots-Irish descent enjoys having a good drink with someone from the homeland. I imagine them having some crazy, hilarious adventures together including but not limited to; waking up wasted in odd places they don't remember going to, bar fights, drunk arguments, trying and failing miserably to hit on women at the bar, etc. etc.

Alexandra Pavlenko: Corey is involved fairly closely with keeping Alexandra hidden from the police/her parents, his background in law enforcement and clever nature aiding this endeavor greatly. Though he doesn't exactly approve of her decisions and finds her annoying and bratty on occasion, he is still unswervingly loyal and welcomes her into the group with open arms, hoping some of the others will be a positive, maturing influence.

Ara El Khouri: He relates to Ara well too, sympathizing with the feeling of having your well laid plans for life suddenly derailed. For her, it was outside pressure and addiction, for him it was injury and psychological disorder. Her Middle Eastern background also gives them something to talk about as he spent the recent and active years of his life in the region. He hopes that his strong sense of self discipline will rub off on her and help her in kicking her addiction.
Ah yes! I'll be opening up one final slot for you, just fill out the CS in the OP so everyone can get a briefing on your character.
Alright then.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, I'll begin preparing the IC opening post.
The gang will all be assembled already, hanging out somewhere like they usually do, and something will happen to set in motion the rest of the plot of that episode. I'm going to go over everyones' bios real quick and try to decide who will be the first member of the group the plot focuses on.
